• Dianne (10/5): Ik heb een tweede thuis. - Aandacht voor detail ademt door het hele verblijf. De tuin is prachtig en waar je ook kijkt, je zal worden verrast door wat je ziet. De rust, de persoonlijke aandacht, het zwembad en een heerlijk bed, en.. alles was heerlijk!
• Karin (8/5): - Wij kozen Thuishaven vanwege de prachtige tuin en het zwembad en werden niet teleurgesteld. Echt genieten hier. De locatie is centraal, je bent snel op de stranden richting Westpunt en Willemstad en Jan Thiel oostwaarts zijn ook vlot te bereiken. Prettige gastheren, vlotte communicatie, snelle reacties op vragen.
• Krista (9/5): - Erg leuk, kleinschalig, verblijf. De meeste kamers bevinden zich aan de tuin met het zwembad. 2 kamers grenzen aan de parking. Omdat wij last minute hadden geboekt, zaten wij in die laatste. Dit is wel iets minder sfeervol dan wanneer je bij de tuin zou zitten. Wij gingen voornamelijk uiteten dus dan is dit geen probleem. Kamer super leuk aangekleed met mooie kunst en grappige details. Ook in de tuin bij het zwembad erg leuk aangekleed. Kamers zijn ruim opgezet en het was er erg schoon. Om de 3 dagen hadden wij een schoon bed en handdoeken. De eigenaren hebben wij weinig gezien, maar zij waren middels de app altijd wel bereikbaar mocht je een vraag hebben. Ook ligt er een map in het verblijf waar je de favoriete stranden en restaurants van de eigenaren kunt bekijken. Ideale ligging als je veel stranden bij westpunt wilt bezoeken. Richting westpunt was alles zo’n 20/30 minuten rijden en andersom richting Willemstad ook. Als ik een tip zou mogen geven, dan zou ik een aantal kleine dingen aanpakken. Het behang in onze kamer liet bijv. los. Ook hadden wij in onze kamer geen oventje / fornuis.
• fechu80 (10/5): Ya quiero volver!! - El lugar es ESPECTACULAR. Es HERMOSO, todo es bello. Hay belleza en todas partes. La decoración del lugar en general y de las habitaciones en particular, son excelentes. Muy buen gusto y mucho arte!! Quiero destacar la atención de Johannes que es un caballero al servicio de los huéspedes. También a Tiger que nos acompañó toda la estadía (Tiger es la gatita más bella del mundo). Por otra parte, también debo destacar la piscina y todo el ambiente exterior, muy cómodo. Excelente relación precio-calidad! Todo es mejor personalmente! Por otra parte, la ubicación es excelente. Está en el centro geográfico de la isla, lo que hace que uno esté cerca de todos lados. El barrio es muy lindo también. No tengo nada negativo que decir. Todo fue excelente.

• Gabriela (10/5): - Hay lugares que simplemente te hospedan… pero este es un lugar que te hace sentir en casa. Desde el primer día notamos que cada espacio fue pensado con mucho amor y cuidado. El diseño es realmente espectacular, con una estética hermosa, tranquila y muy bien lograda. Todo combina perfecto. Se siente la buena vibra desde que entrás. Es un lugar ideal para descansar y disfrutar sin apuro. ¿La limpieza? Impecable. Pero lo que hizo nuestra estadía realmente especial fue Johannes. Su calidad humana es tremenda. Siempre atento, siempre pendiente de si necesitábamos algo, enviándonos sugerencias cuando había eventos en la isla. Todo con una naturalidad y una amabilidad que te hacen sentir cómodo y cuidado. En un momento me astillé el pie y no dudó ni un segundo: vino enseguida con alcohol y todo lo necesario, y con mucha paciencia él mismo me ayudó a sacar las astillas. Un gesto simple, pero profundamente humano. Y esos gestos dicen todo. Nos sentimos más que huéspedes: nos sentimos cuidados. Volveríamos sin dudarlo. Johannes, un genio total.

• Eloïse (5/5): Spacious room but not very clean. - The room is big and has all the facilities you need. It wasn't very clean, there were a lot of carpets even in the bathroom. You have to put a cup on the gutter in the shower because of the bad smell. One of the owners was very nice, but the other one was rude to us.
• Ingrid (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf op top lokatie - Prachtige tuin met zwembad. Goed bed. Ruime kamer. Fijne douche. Parkeren op het terrein. De gastheren zijn attent. Veel privacy op de locatie. We hadden de kamer die net aan de buitenkant van het complex viel. De andere kamers liggen wat mooier aan het zwembad en hebben een keuken.

• Peter (9/5): Een heerlijke relaxte resort, waar je tot rust komt. - Een heerlijk relaxte omgeving. Alle voorzieningen waren keurig netjes in orde. Het zwembad met bar was ook fantastisch en hebben we veel gebruikt. De locatie van dit resort is ideaal om het eiland en de vele leuke strandjes te verkennen. Op dit resort zijn geen kleine kinderen toegestaan, dus het zwembad was ook een rustige omgeving. Geen verbeterpunten.

• Andy (10/5): 😍😍😍Sicher kommen wir wieder ✅🥂 - Es gibt nicht viel zu sagen, ausser, dass es ein wundervoller und perfekter Aufenthalt war! Johannes und Martijn sind super nette und sehr symphatische Gastgeber die viel Herzblut in ihr sauberes und gepflegtes Anwesen stecken! Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sehr gut ausgestattet, sodass einem nichts fehlen tut während dem Aufenthalt im Thuishaven! Die Betten und Kopfkissen sind sehr komfortabel und ein Genuss für einen entspannten Schlaf! (Nicht selbstverständlich in der Karibik) Das Anwesen ist super gelegen, genau mittig und nichts zu weit (das einzige was wichtig zu wissen ist, man benötigt ein Auto um sich auf der Insel fortzubewegen). In wenigen Minuten ist man auf den schönsten Stränden ebenso in Willemstad. Johannes hat uns sehr nett empfangen und super für uns gesorgt, als Martijn angekommen war, kam er sich auch sofort vorstellen. Die beiden sind wirklich sehr nett und super freundlich. Ich könnte ein ganzes Buch über dieses Anwesen schreiben, jedoch bringt es nicht so viel zu schreiben da es einfach perfekt war. Also nochmal das wichtigste kurzgefasst: - sehr schönes Anwesen - Schöne Zimmer, welche gut ausgestattet sind - Sehr gut gelegen - Sehr nette Besitzer - Private Parkplätze - Schöner Pool zum entspannen @ Johannes & Marijn: Danke für alles und bis bald 👋 Wer hier was zu Meckern hat, ist selbst Schuld 😉

• Kuntesha (10/5): This is the place! - It was a beautifully decorated boutique hotel! It was quiet but not that noise wasn’t allowed and both Johannes and Martijn host were amazing. They were informative and started communicating with me a week prior to my arrival to ensure a smooth check-in. Great recommendations for many options on the island as well. There wasn’t anything to not like! Pure relaxation and comfort with some wonderful amenities!
• Danique (10/5): Fantastische plek - De eigenaren zijn echt lieverds! We zijn ontzettend goed verzorgd. Zolang je het netjes houd, is vrijwel alles mogelijk. Het zwembad is 24/7 open dus heeeeerlijk om savonds een duik te nemen. De kamer is netjes en heel erg schoon. Het bed ligt echt fantastisch en de douche is ook top! Al met al; hier kom ik zeker nog een keertje terug!! De locatie is minder- nou hadden wij daar expliciet voor gekozen, lekker de rust opzoeken. Dus voor ons niet een minpunt, maar mocht je dat wel zoeken: bij deze! ;D

• Allen (10/5): Paradise Found - Beautifully decorated and well appointed rooms. The landscaping and gardens and pool area are creatively designed and use a harmonius function and form. Every time I looked, I saw something new. It is a wonderful property. While centrally located to drive to beach or City of Wilhemstad, a rental car is a must. So glad we took owner's suggestion.

• Shakira (10/5): Cozy in Curacao - We absolutely LOVED our stay at Thuishaven! The hospitality began even before we arrived. Our host, Martijn, ensured that our arrival would be seamless and recommended a car rental place, which I highly suggest getting a car. Once we arrived on the property, he provided more helpful recommendations on getting around the island and places to go. This location is truly in the middle of everything! Willemsted is 15 minutes away, the grocery store is about 8 minutes away. The closest beaches are also less than 15 minutes away. The room was spacious and unique... cozy enough for 2 people. The kitchen was perfect for quick meals and coffee in the morning. Martijn and Johannes are excellent hosts... super responsive and attentive. They have created an at home feel on their property! We will definitely be back... and bringing our friends! 😊
• Nadirah (10/5): Great - I love the access to the clean refreshing pool and the BBQ grill.. the bed was large and comfortable.. I cant comment on the Linens because I always bring my own sheets and sleep on top of the covers.. the towels are soft. Good shower pressure with warm water. The kitchenette was great too. The owner was a little stand offish.. Not that friendly as I would of expected.. The guy who gave us the initial tour of the grounds ( I guess he's the owner as well) was very pleasant and accommodating. They could change some of the outdoor pillows/chair cushions and the hammock. Its looks dingy and worn out.. It needs a refresh..
• Sadia (10/5): Lovely place, will definitely return! - Lovely and peaceful! The longer you look around the property, the more little details you discover in the room and gardens. Comfortable and quiet. Plenty of seating outside. Room was clean and comfortable as well. Located very central, in a quiet neighborhood. There are restaurants and a fitness center just a short walk down the road. Hosts are very friendly and helpful, good communication. Will definitely consider Thuis Haven for future stays. Highly recommended. Everything was great :)

• Mitchstreicher (9/5): Superb - Fantastic accommodation – highly recommended. The owners have built a really beautiful property. All rooms have an outdoor area, most of them facing the pool. The rooms are also very spacious and come with a small kitchen. The pool area is absolutely fantastic, featuring a self-service aqua bar. A major advantage of this hotel is the personal attention from the owners – they are truly wonderful. They also provide great tips on food, beaches, and more. Rental cars can be parked inside a gated area. Grote Berg is a bit off the beaten path (but safe and affluent), but since you need a rental car on Curaçao anyway, that’s not a problem. It’s about a 25-minute drive to Punda (downtown Willemstad).
• Gizem (5/5): Passable - Nice location and nice, clean rooms There are two owners. Although the dutch owner is nice, the other owner is very arrogant. Keeps on his sunglasses as he introduces you to the hotel, which is not etiquette. Keeps telling from the day you arrive that ‘he has cameras everywhere so be aware of what you do’. That’s just very strange since it’s a hotel and not a parenting class. The way of talking and the way he acts is just very arrogant and didn’t give a comfortable feeling.

• Herbert (10/5): Wonderful place! - I had a wonderful time in this fabulous place, that offers you a "feel like home" stay. Everything is very artistic, functional and each detail is taken care of. The loft has a small and totally functional kitchen, a huge comfortable bed, dinner and resting area, and a nice outside space with a view to the splendid garden. Johannes was very kind and helpful, and so is the staff. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, located in the center of the island, which was really strategic to reach any site, in at maximum 30 min. That's the time my longest trip demanded. The environment is adult public oriented, very easy going, free and private. I can't thank you enough for the wonderful days at Thuishaven! I hated to leave. Would like to stay much longer.

Very affordable and comfortable place to stay that is centrally located in a safe neighborhood. The hosts were very accommodating (thanks for the bottle of wine!) and helpful when we needed any support or information. The very friendly cats were a special treat! Thanks for a great stay, guys! Coming and going from the property through the gate was a bit of a challenge but a small thing given the overall rest of the experience. If possible, I'd also add a microwave and toaster in the kitchen - just a suggestion..

• Luiz (10/5): Wonderful place in the middle of Grote Berg - What a great place to enjoy Curaçao. It's 10 minutes by car from the city centre (Punda and Otrobanda) on a quiet, secure and beautiful location. The hosts were very welcoming, the place is incredible, with access to the pool at all times. The room is very well thought out, with a lot of details and very modern. Camille and Vanessa were also incredible and did everything they could to help me and other guests. The cats are very cute and love being petted and the sunsets are amazing. There's a great market on the way to the beaches called New California (about 10 minutes heading northwest). A good gas station is ISA Service Station (7 mins southeast) where you can pay with a credit card either in Florins or US dollars. De Visserij is a great place nearby to eat local and fresh seafood. My favorite beaches (considering I was traveling alone and I like the mix of adventure, comfort and wildlife, are): 1. Kalki, 2. Porto Marie, 3. Cas Abao, 4. Avila Beach (great for a day at a hotel being able to go out on open sea at the same time) and 5. Kenepa Grandi.

• Fabien (10/5): Awesome and beautiful place , they worked very hard to create a little paradise 🌺 - The place was very peaceful and welcoming! Martjin and Johannes were great and always there if needed. We recommend it eyes closed ! We had a great rest and time at THUIS(Heaven) ! Nothing. Everything was perfect!
• César (7/5): NICE. Martijn is a great host, his partner is NOT. - Everything was excellent, the facilities, the room, the tranquility and peace of the place were incredible. Martijn was an excellent host. We didn't like that on the second day, we were leaving the accommodation and Martijn's partner, a bald, super arrogant, ordinary guy, arrived to charge us in a super uncomfortable way, indicating that he was the owner and we should pay him immediately. Taking into account that Martijn had indicated to us that we could pay him over the course of a few days. It was a super unpleasant moment, totally contrary to Martijn's kindness and good attitude. Just because of this person we would not return to this place.

• María (10/5): A delightful stay - A beautiful place where everything is colorful and arty. The studio where we stayed was simply perfect, all the equipments you need in the kitchen (even coffee!) Close to everything and yet you feel the tranquil area, breeze and surroundings. We didn’t have a car the first night but luckily there’s a restaurant 5 min walk called Bali that the owners recommended us. Pool is clean and playful, you can also do morning work out or yoga in the little gym. Martijn and Johannes are both so kind and friendly and their beautiful family of 12 lovely cats 😻 We couldn’t have a nicer place for our first stay in Curaçao! Thank you 🙏🏼 We weren’t be able to take one of the cats with us 😅 Everything was perfect!
• Pal (9/5): Boutique haven - Perfect design, spacious, comfortable, clean, well-equipped. Grote Berg is a bit off the centre of the action, so without car it’s less flexible (but still doable by bus). This also means that for dinner if you want to have more options than one good restaurant (Bali), you’ll need to drive. But all this is pretty common in Curaçao.

• Ariana (10/5): Great stay in a great location! - I really enjoyed my stay at Thuishaven! Martín was such a welcoming host. He made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and even shared some tips and recommendations with me. The apartment is even better than the photos, very spacious and private. Perfect for a couple or solo traveler. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay again myself soon! I don't really have anything negative to stay about the accommodations. Everything was clean, comfortable and I would stay here again.

Martin was an excellent host who - the apartments had been recently renovated so everything was fresh and clean. They were well equipped with everything you could need. The resort has some really nice spaces to relax like the pool, honesty bar and a little gym The gate has a padlock that is a bit of an effort to open and close but it’s super minor!

• Ana (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous property with great facilities: pool, honestly bar, hammocks, barbecue, free parking and a small gym! The location is the best -positioned in the center of the island from where you can easily reach the most beautiful beaches, supermarkets and you are 25 mins drive to the city. The owner Martijn is great! Also, you will be 20 mins from Cas Abao beach where you can get the best classes on the island of freediving and scuba (B Diving).
