• Margaux (5/5): Disappointed - Common open kitchen is super handy to prep own breakfast. 5 min walk to beachfront restaurants and freediving school. Dark room with humid warm air, totally blind narrow bathroom with cockroach, no sheet covering the duvet, plastic still on the mattress, centipede climbing on the bed. Staff ok but not the most helpful and caring I've come across.

• Marta (9/5): Very recommendable place, the rooms are big, it's clean, and very friendly hosts! - We had a wonderful stay at Citronella Homestay. The family was very cheerful and excellent hosts. When we needed an extra lamp by the bed, they provided it the next day. We also asked for a new sponge, which was replaced immediately. The property is charming and not too large, with a lovely garden, a pool, and cozy seating areas, all of which are well-maintained daily. The room was spacious and cleaned every morning. Overall, we felt very comfortable during our stay and would definitely return! The only thing we would improve is the air conditioner. It was cooling the room comparing to the outside temperature but it was not enough sometimes.

• Fiona (10/5): I would come back any time! - A short walk to a variety of restaurants and bars on the Ped beachfront, but without the hustle and bustle of the main road. It was our first stay in Indonesia in almost a month where chickens didn't wake us up early in the morning! Hot shower, AC, mini fridge all work properly. The garden and pool are a great/peaceful place to hang out in between activities. Pillow could be a bit less puffy
• Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - This place is a hidden gem in Nusa Penida! Close to harbour, but so very quiet and tranquil here! Beautiful pool and gardens, and the staff are so friendly and warm. We had an issue with Booking.com when we arrived, but the owner sorted it out for us, and the lovely girl Ayu played with the kids and chatted while we worked it out. The rooms have comfy beds, icy cold air con and beautiful hot showers with stone bathrooms that are stunning! There is cleaning room service every day...it was so nice coming back each day to a sparkly clean room, they work so hard to keep this place tidy and well maintained. Also a kitchen area which was brilliant, as we could cook and boil water for coffee...with 3 energetic kids this was a LIFESAVER! The owner Putu helped us with anything we needed, and sells home made lemongrass essential oils which are incredible too! When we got caught in the rain, Ayu stopped and offered us a lift on her scooter, which was lovely and kind! Highly recommend this amazing place, just for the beautiful people alone...we will be coming back here on the next trip for sure! That we had to leave this beautiful place!
