• Patrick (1/5): This stay was a fail. It is inacceptable that the host does not respond at all. - DO NOT BOOK THIS APPARTMENT !! The host is extremely unreliable. Read the other comments. There was no internet in the flat, which was annoying, because Switzerland is not part of the EU and we relied on having internet in the flat. We contacted the host by phone, by SMS, WhatsApp and mail, and he did not answer at all, even not until today (10 days later). We even did not get instructions how to leave the appartment, where to leave the key and so on. He is extremely unreliable. If you have a problem, it is your problem and you are alone. In addition, there is absolutely no lake view, there is no mirror in the bathroom (difficult if you want to shave), and there was an old capsule in the coffee machine. Even after rinsing the coffee machine five times, the pure water was still yellow. This stay was a fail. It is inacceptable that the host does not respond at all. Read the other comments.

• Supan (1/5): AVOID THIS PROPERTY – FRAUDULENT HOST AND UNRELIABLE LISTING - I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience with Montreux Appartement Centre Lac. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the host informed me last minute that they couldn’t accommodate me due to "unexpected maintenance." While unforeseen issues can happen, what followed was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. The host never cancelled the booking from their side, forcing me to spend days chasing them for the refund I am legally entitled to. Even after repeated reminders, they failed to process my refund. I had to escalate the matter to Booking.com, who are still awaiting their response. This behaviour amounts to nothing short of fraudulent practice – taking money from guests, refusing accommodation, and withholding refunds. Travellers should be aware that this property is entirely unreliable, and you risk being left stranded, out of pocket, and forced to deal with unresponsive, evasive hosts. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this listing.

• Linda (1/5): Bad - We were not accommodated at all. We only found out about the cancellation after several unsuccessful attempts to contact - in the morning on the day of arrival, only an email in French arrived, which was practically unusable during the transfer to the accommodation. After eight in the evening, we were left on the street without compensation, even with a small child. To this day, we have not received a refund. Very disappointing and unprofessional approach. I do not recommend.
• Eric (7/5): Cozy apartment in a great location - The flat is very cozy, you can tell that someone has put in the effort to make it feel like home. The location is incredibly convenient, right in the middle of town and close to the train station, bus lines, groceries, and restaurants. We enjoyed the apartment and the recommendations on things to do from the host! Unfortunately the washer/dryer was broken, which was a key amenity we were counting on after traveling for a week. We ended up washing and drying several loads by hand. "Lake views" is an overstatement, but there are a number of windows and nice light
• Yusi (4/5): Disappointing - 1. Great location, 3min to train station and convenient public transportation. 2. Big enough for family (3-4 people) . 3. Kitchen is well equipped, enough for cooking in the apartment. 4. Check in and out time is better than others, we checked in at 1pm, checked out at 11am. 1. The room is on 3rd floor and no elevator, no info showed when I booked. It's too hard to carry big luggage for my parents, I'll definitely not choose if know this situation before. 2. Quilt is dirty and has no quilt cover, I'm little afraid to get fungal infection if others have and lived here before. 3. Website shows check in time can be 10am, but after communicate on bookings, earliest check in time is 1pm. Suggest change website time to a real time.
• Leanne (8/5): Stylish period features to this centrally located apartment. - Comfortable and clean. Suited our family of 4 well for a visit to Montreux. Kitchen was handy. Some lovely period features to this old building. Pillows were a bit thin for us.

• Pradeepa (7/5): Unpleasant overall. - The property was in a great location. Close to shops, entertainment and public transportation. I would describe the apartment as vintage. This property allows check in from 10 am according to the listing on Booking.com. This was only reason I picked this property. The owner confirmed that I could check in at 10 am after my booking was made. We arrived from the US to Geneva and took a train to Montreux only to know that the property wasn’t available until 1 pm. The host had messaged me the previous day while I was traveling and had no access to internet. It was a cold and rainy day. After a 14 hour international journey, we landed up sitting in the train station for 3 hours, and then lugging the luggages 3 floors up the stairs. The owner seemed unempathetic and unapologetic. I would never stay here ever again or recommend this property to friends.
• Lorna (10/5): A gem of a property in a beautiful town - perfect base for exploring one of the most beautiful towns I have ever visited - The location is just perfect - 200m from the station and a 2 minute walk from the lake The beds were very comfortable and the space is perfect - great having kitchen facilities as well as a living room to relax in. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and we loved the shutters on the windows It’s a gem of a property and one that I will definitely stay at again! Nothing!

• Lucas (7/5): Good - Great location and good spacious flat. Quirky details and very comfortable. We were told we could arrive between 4 and 5 but on the morning of our stay we were told we could not have access until 7.30 despite arriving at 4 with a suitcase. We were eventually told we could drop off the suitcase earlier. The apartment is 3 floors up which may be challenging for some guests.
• Meghan (10/5): Exceptional - We got this apartment at the 11th hour when the previous one cancelled our booking. Julian’s apartment is in a prime location in beautiful Montreux. We made full use of the apartment. Soaking in the bath; making meals in the kitchen and relaxing in the evening watching Tv after a long day exploring. The apartment met our needs to the full. From feeling the welcoming heat as soon as you enter the building to the. Clean fresh warm apartment. Julian was also very attentive, offering advice and making sure all was well. • Laura (9/5): Superb - The apartment is quite big and well cleaned. The owner made the checkin and checkout super easy and uncomplicated. The location was really central and close to the main station, yet in a really quiet region. Towels and bedsheets were organized by the property and there was even the chance to buy snacks and drinks directly in the apartment.
