Guest Reviews
- Elisa (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Perfect and quiet location, in the middle of the countryside, very convenient to visit interesting sites, including the Cotswolds Nothing
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Murray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (3/5): Not very happy. - Pros: Clean and comfortable. Nice facilities, kitchen, bathroom. Wifi TV etc.
Quite a remote country location a mile or two from the village. Cons: I could not lock the front door. No one was available on site to assist. Spent the first night more than a little anxious about security. On the first evening we arrived, I received a message from the owner to say that the electricity would be turned off from 8 am to 4 pm the next day. And that the water would be turnef off the following day.
We'd had enough and decided to leave to find alternative accommodation. Went to Stratton House in Cirencester.
What should have been a pleasant 3 night stay turned out to be one anxious night. The owner refunded us just one night's rate.
The remote location down quaint country lanes meant we had to drive to get anywhere, the narrow roads had no footpath, so a walk to the pub or village shops a mile or two away wad risky with fast traffic. The cottage is some way out of Purton.
Not a terribly happy experience, overall.
- Anne (10/5): Very pleasant, really pretty and peaceful surroundings. The cottage has everything you need. - Host left all we needed to ensure we had a hot drink and a small breakfast if we got there too late for shops. Nothing
- Ingrida (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dita (9/5): Superb - Loved location and cottage.Had everything you need and very tidy.
- Pedro (9/5): Great experience overall! The bathroom could do with hangers for clothes/towels. ;) -
- Turner (8/5): Ideal escape - Beautiful countryside very quiet and relaxing Gashob difficulty lighting, kept burning fingers with lighter smokers which was supplied . Settee too low for relaxing.
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Dave (8/5): Very good -
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bruce (10/5): Great escape to explore the cotswold - The cottage had everything one would need for self catering and the barbecue was a bonus for us.
The cottage was spacious and very comfortable.
Toby and Nadira were friendly and very helpful and at the same time they were sensitive not to impose.
A great stay and would gladly stay there again. We had no complaints
