Guest Reviews
- Clare (10/5): Peaceful , relaxing and would highly recommend - Warm and welcoming and amazing views N/A
- Sheaer (10/5): - Location and views were amazing Sofa was a bit uncomftable I spent most of time sitting on bed when in chalet
- Sarah (10/5): Little Gem! Highly recommend - Perfect stay! Seemed new. Absolutely immaculate. Photos don't do it justice - the pod is very stylish and comfortable and contains everything needed.
Really lovely quiet site in a fantastic riverside location, perfect for doggy walks and popular cafe on site.
Hosts welcomed us upon arrival and showed us the facilities inside etc which is rare these days and a much appreciated start to our stay. They also went above and beyond returning with bottled water when a local issue meant there was no water from source for only 10 mins. Very strong windy weather meant there was quite a loud rattling all night which i think was from the vents etc and outside the hosts control.
Nothing else at all not to like! I highly recommend this place.

- Angelika (9/5): Lovely stay, I’d come back! - A very clean place, great river view, close to a lot of places - 30 mins by car and you are in a lot of places with lovely views. We wish we had another night there! The owners were great, when we had questions they were responding straight away. Really small things, not really what we didn’t like but what would be nice to have 😊
*salt and pepper
*hand towel in the bathroom
*a little dish rack
*a little shelf in the bathroom to keep your things - there was a little cabinet under the sink but wasn’t big enough.
- Diane (10/5): Beautiful riverside setting! - Absolutely everything was brilliant, we had the most comfortable, relaxing few days, property and site were beautiful, staff were so helpful and really went out of their way to help us, and we left feeling thoroughly refreshed. I would highly recommend this holiday. There was nothing to dislike.
- Michelle (10/5): - It's was immaculate lovely views hqdva Fab time so chilled Nothing
- Gemma (8/5): We had a lovely stay and the lodge was immaculately clean. - Fantastic location close to all the attractions we wanted to visit. Just a couple of utensils missing for cooking.
- Garry (9/5): Lovely peaceful site - Lovely quiet site with a very nice coffee shop.
Nice clean pod with good decking area overlooking the river and site Could do with a couple of drinking mugs rather than small cups. Only has a microwave but had an air fryer which wasn't mentioned on write up.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect. - Lots of thought going into providing most things you might need whilst staying in the accommodation. Nothing really.
- Pat (9/5): Looking forward to returning -

- Liz (10/5): Exceptional - Our second visit loved everything about the place and area. So peaceful and views lovely. Got everything you need for a short break. Nothing. Amazing place
- Bunnywarren68 (10/5): Exceptional - This was a stop off, for two nights, on our drive up to Aberdeen to catch our ferry to the Orkney Isles. We were able to explore Northumberland and visit Graigside House (National Trust).
The sites river view and cafe make it even more idyllic👍🐰 All good, the sun even shone😜🐰
- Lauren (9/5): Great! - Super cute pod, compact but sufficient for 2 of us plus 2 dogs, site was lovely and the river walk was beautiful, we walked right the way to new biggins by the sea. Site we'll maintained and a lovely little cafe on site too. Would definitely return here. Nothing we found not to not like
- Raymond (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (9/5): Peace and quiet in the countryside. - Fantastic location overlooking the fields and river. Loved seeing the bunnies and the ducks in a morning. The walk along the river is excellent and we were lucky enough to see some rowing races. All the local people were so friendly. Very peaceful site. Excellent quality furniture, hob, oven and air fryer, fridge freezer, shower, towels and bed linens, tv, etc. Really warm and very comfortable when needed. Good cafe on site. Lack of kitchen utensils - only a wooden spoon which made it challenging to cook. Only 2 wine glasses, 2 outdoor chairs for 3 adults. Needed a few extra touches e.g. bedside lamps, hooks or a rail in the bathroom for your towels, oven gloves, a small bin in the bedroom and extra cutlery (only 3 teaspoons).
- Robin (10/5): Very satisfied. - Great location, quiet and relaxing with excellent chalet placing and first class Cafe
- Clare (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed the river view from the caravan balcony, watching the ducks and rabbits go by. The caravan was very clean and modern, including an air fryer, a dishwasher, and microwave in the kitchen. The site was quiet and well maintained. There is a children's park next to the site. It could have done with a few more cooking utensils in the kitchen. There was no wooden spoon, for example.
- Amy (8/5): Very good - it was a lovely place to stay gorgeous views. the only downside was that there wasn't really any cooking forcilatys other than that it was a lovely break away.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and clean the view was amazing Nothing was wrong with the place but if you could a hot tub would be even better

Would definitely recommend you stay here, hopefully will return next year

No oven or hob I had taken items for a cooked breakfast and pizza couldn’t use them.
Tiny air fryer not suitable for 2 people.

Very high standard sbd everything you could think of in this lodge and given the small space. Clever use of storage. Very comfortable. Dan& Nicola were superb hosts and very helpful. Views of the river and hills were great when sitting on the deck.. young deer abd various wildlife on the hill was an added bonus! Highly recommended. Thank you. Mary&Geoff Everything was of a high standard no concerns.

The bed was very comfy. Very quiet location. Stunning views of the river. Great place for dogs with the cafe being dog friendly and lovely walk along the river. You can walk all the way along the river and it takes you to the beach.
We were met at the property by the hosts who were lovely and very knowledgable telling us good walks and dog friendly pubs.
You can walk to the nearest pub via the river bank which is also street lit. Very lovely community too with all the pubs being very welcoming.
Hosts were very accommodating as we were allowed to have a later check out which was great.
Would highly recommend staying here. Had a fantastic time, will definitely be back.

- Annmarie (10/5): Exceptional - Spotlessly clean , everything you needed, comfortable bed and great location.

- Lorna (10/5): Tranquil weekend break. - We booked this break for the Rugby League Magic weekend. We usually stay at the Park Dean in Ashington but we wanted a more tranquil break.
On arrival we were greeted by staff and shown to our accomodation. Staff and the owner who we met on the last day are friendly and welcoming.
We stayed at the dog friendly Burrow which was gorgeous, the decor is to a high standard with a kitchenette and ensuite. It was cleaned to a high standard but the views were outstanding.
This was an amazing weekend break.
- Berry (10/5): Exceptional - Very secluded with river view and the deer in fields opposite were fantastic. Exceptionally clean pod and the bed with it's quality pillows was magnificent. Nicola and her dad whom own the site were fantastic and very warm and welcoming. IV travelled the UK staying at some of the best sites this country has to offer but this site and the accommodation were by far the best IV been to. I will be back for sure very soon. A perfect break and a perfect site. I didn't like having to leave tbh
