Also knowledgeable of the area Great location with short drive to good hikes/views Only thing to consider our room was more motel style. E.g straight access from car park into room, wasn’t issue for us but something to consider

• rob (2/5): The cramped space, poor room servicing and cold cooked breakfast would stop us revisiting. - The operations manager was very helpful and did her best to assist us and we feel has a thankless task providing a good customer experience. This included organising a dinner for us despite being told by the catering manager to go elsewhere to eat even though no where else was availabe. The room was very small and had nowhere to store things. We were there for two nights, and apart from making our beds, the rubbish bins remained unemptied and the bathrooms uncleaned. Our stay included breakfast, but the cooked food, including scrambled eggs , was cold to lukewarm.
• Ryan (9/5): A fantastic hotel, highly recommend. - In a great location close to the iconic Fox Glacier. Very friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to help guests, especially Evie. The rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard and are very clean. Thank you for a great stay. The shower kept suddenly and randomly going hot and cold, so it was difficult to use.

• Lorna (6/5): Hot, unclean but good location. - Central to the town. Good size bed. Booked 2 rooms and one had a used bar of soap in the shower with a hair on it from a previous guest. There was no air conditioning and it was muggy weather. When we opened the window sandflies came in so sleeping was difficult.

• Robyn (8/5): A little dated the rooms and hotel but clean, comfortable and spacious. - Option for interconnecting room for a family. Large spacious rooms. Beds comfortable. Easy parking. Central location - walk to local eateries and shops. Our room was at the front of the property and windows lacking insulation therefore we heard the road noise and birds in the morning very easily!

• Katharina (8/5): - Das Zimmer war sauber und alle waren sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer hat ein kleines Bad, welches grundsätzlich vollkommen ausreicht. Aber es hat leider keine Ablagefläche. Des weiteren merkt man das Alter des Hotels, Teppich teilweise abgenutzt. Manche Teile wie das Bad waren aber renoviert.

The room we got might be very close to the septic tank as the toilet/bathroom was a bit smelly so had to leave the windows open to get rid of the smell.

• Dannielle (8/5): Great location, close to shops, restaurants and walking trails - Great location on the main strip close to restaurants, shops and walking trails. The rooms were comfy and warm. Beds and pillows were great. Basic tea and coffee facilities provided. Soap, shampoo & conditioner provided. We booked 2 rooms for 2A + 2C 9 months in advance and rooms were not close together. Shower took a long time to drain, so nearly flooded the bathroom.
• Krishy92 (5/5): Passable - The room was clean, and the location was good. The water pressure in the shower was not the best. Also, the facility did not have any microwave, so don't take your leftovers with you. The TV in the room was so old-school that I we couldn't watch anything. So if it's raining and choose to stay indoors, there is nothing for you do do. Our neighbors were also very noisy and banging their doors and talking really loudly from 5 am.

• Simone (7/5): Perfectly adequate for our needs. - Great location and good shower and bed linen. It could have been a bit cleaner there were a few hairs left around the bathroom. It was also quite expensive for what it was but I understand it’s about supply and demand.

The blinds did not prevent light penetration. No food available in the restaurant as there was only a set menu for a tour group. No soundproofing between rooms.

• Caroline (7/5): Good - Great location. Fox Glacier is a super tiny place but we were directly opposite the HeliHike and next door to the few restaurants in town. Fairly basic accomodation but comfortable bed and clean. The price. Far more expensive than other motels of similar standards we've stayed in New Zealand but I think that's Fox Glacier rather than just this specific hotel.

• Rashmi (6/5): Pleasant - It’s an ok place to stay in the glacier country. The rooms were quite small and the bathroom was tiny. Breakfast was very basic and didn’t have much vegetarian options.
• Shuk (7/5): Perfect location - Perfect location. The glacier tour is just opposite to the hotel. Convenient carpark. Restaurants and convenience store is next to the hotel. No air-con. Circulation is not good enough. Staff is not on duty at night so fan cannot be provided on the first day of stay.

The tour busses arriving late at night abd departing early were very noisy both nights and the rooms are not very sound proof. Parking was an issue, low parking spaces.
