• Michelle (7/5): Not set up for the typical short term traveller but is in a good location - The apartment was in a good location with close access to the beach, however, it is not set up for a short term the traveller nor meet what I would consider the basic expections for properties on Booking.com. NO Internet. NO basic supplies. NO linen, which in my experience is highly unusual, so in addition to the rental fee you had to pay 30 Euros directly to the host for each bed you needed linen for or bring your own.... which is not normally an option for travellers who fly into the location. Unfortunately, I didn't pick up on exclusion of Intenet and linen until after I had booked, mostly because these things are what I would consider essential inclusions in holiday properties. What we were given for our 30 Euros was totally inadequate. 2 towels, 2 hand towels and linen for one bed even though we had booked a 2 bedroom apartment. No bath mats, no tea towels, no blankets or doonas, no extra towels for the beach etc. There were set times you could check in as you had to meet the host to pay them the money for the linen and get the key. There were absolutely no supplies provided such as shower gel, diswashing liquid, tea ,coffee, milk, salt pepper etc. Generally, my experience has been some basic supplies are provided to allow you time to organise your own if necessary. As we arrived there a 7.30 pm we had to check in and then go and find a supermarket to buy some essentials. There was no welcome compendium provided to give you basic information such as locations of supermarkets, emergency numbers, hospitals etc. We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment yet when we were shown around the apartment we were not shown the second bedroom to which the door was closed. The second room was not made up as we had only paid for 1 set of bed linen and it had washing hanging out to dry around various spots. Clearly the expectations was that we would not be using the second bedroom. Communication was ok with host prior to arrival as we had access to the internet, but difficult after our arrival due to the lack of internet. The host arranged for a driver to collect us from the airport for a fee when we asked for recommendations, but did not offer the same for our departure.
