- Niloy (10/5): Great host, great property, overall excellent stay. - Provided a lot of things like coffee, tea, with all sorts of appliances you’d require for a long stay. Lots of utensils, plates, glasses, etc. Had a very cozy living room, that had a large smart TV, with access to Netflix. It also had many activities such as a smaller sized pool table, table tennis, board games, card games for adults and kids. The property had a nice backyard, with a table and chairs. The bathroom had a weight machine which came in handy for weighing luggage before our flight. The host was also very eager to help out with any sort of issues we may have faced during our stay.
- Rebecca (9/5): Everything was as advertised and expected, host was really nice to deal with, would like to return. - The offering was exactly as described, photos were a true representation - house was well equipped with well thought out 'home comforts' and spotlessly clean.
- Godden (8/5): Very good - Perfect use of space and great location Communication via booking.com not good. Messages didn't appear to get through to owner despite repeated attempts.
Once direct communication with owner was established it was all fine
- Paul (9/5): Great location and can't fault the facilities and hosrs care with instructions. - Keybox and full easily explained instructions from the host.
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Horn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tara (9/5): Lovely felt like home - Was a loverly house, modern up and downstairs toilet and shower, lots of appliances, loverly large kitchen and diner, would definitely stay again Could have done with 2 keys
- Lorraine (9/5): Wonderful short stay at Rosa - Lovely decor, pool table, lots of amenities eg hairdryer etc. No toilet roll holders.
- Gaynor (4/5): AVOID - Disappointing due to behaviour of the host. - Location was good and the parking was very convenient. The house was well appointed but with need for some maintenance issues to be addressed. It would also benefit from air con as it was extremely hot but I’m sure this would be a plus in the winter months. I was satisfied with my stay until I discovered that money had been taken out of my bank after our departure without notification (the ‘host’ had previously been very quick and keen to communicate - too much so in fact!)
When I contacted them to query it, I was told that it was because their cleaner had noticed that a blind was stuck - a blind that I never even opened!
Unfortunately, the cleaner had not been so particular and precise when preparing the property for us, as I did have to report quite a few maintenance issues upon arrival so I didn’t get blamed and have money taken from my security deposit.
Yet despite the ‘host’ emailing me to thank me for leaving the property in such excellent order, they still felt it necessary to retain some of my deposit, for a problem that I never caused!! They did refer to one of the numerous messages that they sent, in regards to the property, that specifically mentions the blinds, and how to open them (they are just wooden slated ones btw!) and with hindsight it appears that it is a technique they use in order to justify retaining extra funds - because if the blinds are such a issue then simply change them!!!
However, the ‘host’ has since shown their true colours in the communication that has followed and my entire stay has been tarnished by the experience!
I would suggest you Avoid, Avoid, Avoid - unless you’re happy to be accused of breaking something that apparently isn’t fit for purpose in the first place….!
- Paiman (10/5): Exceptional - It wasn’t easy to open Key lock box
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb -
- Brecht (9/5): Cozy house - It is a nice and cozy house. We were able to visit the different parts of Portsmouth (beach + harbour) easily on foot. The kids loved the pool and ping pong table!
- Lindsay (10/5): An actual home from home. - High standard of presentation and thoughtful contents to make stay comfortable and convenient. Especially for staying as a family with young children. The fans in the rooms actually worked, the kitchen was well stocked in terms of cooking equipment and the blankets and board games in living room were a lovely touch. Great location - quiet residential street but short walk from shops and bus stop. Communications from host were helpful, friendly and timely. We all had a lovely stay and would come again.
- Tanya (9/5): Comfortable and well-equipped place for a family of 5. - We loved how comfortable and clean the place was upon arrival. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and having 2 bathrooms and washing machine available was nice. It was on a residential street in a neighborhood, so it was quiet at night time. N/A
