- mike (7/5): It's a fun space, as in the photos, could be noisy if there's a big party in the restaurant next door - The property matches the description and expectations accurately.
- NICOLE (10/5): Lovely place to stay in Stanford :) - Location was great. The apartment is lovely and spacious with a gorgeous outdoor area. Its the second time we've stayed there because we enjoy it so much. No complaints.
- Mariette (10/5): -
- K (9/5): Very convenient, comfortable and great location for exploring Stanford and the surrounding area. - In the centre of the town so very convenient. Very well equipped, comfortable and nice outdoor seating area. Nothing in particular
- Pasquallie (8/5): - This studio apartment with separate bathroom has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The covered stoep and braai area creates an extra living space. The accommodation is on the main road, but it is never noisy. Everything is in walking distance: restaurants, gift shops, the river, wine farms, etc. Very colourful interior! There is an interleading door to the owner's house, and sometimes one can hear voices. This is NOT a complaint.
- Laubis (10/5): -
- Sune (9/5): Lovely! - This is a lovely spacious quirky flat with almost everything you need. There is a nice outside area with a braai. The kitchen is well equipped as well. I’m surprised no one has mentioned this but the flat shares a wall with the admin of the restaurant. I could hear the owner talking on the phone and i felt quite uncomfortable that they would be able to hear us in the flat. The flat doesn’t have the privacy one would want when staying somewhere.
- Ziphelele (10/5): I had a peaceful stay. Lovely and warm hosts - Location was perfect. Accommodation had a restaurant and close to other restaurants as well
- Alison (9/5): Exactly what we were looking for - somewhere in the middle of the village so we could go by foot -
- christopher john (10/5): -
- Nell (10/5): Wonderful short stay! Really enjoyed our adventure! - Very warm welcome! We arrived a bit early and were going to have lunch at the Hosts adjacent restaurant before checking in. Our host Mark greeted us warmly and said our room was ready and we could check in then relax over lunch! Thank you. Much appreciated. They don't serve breakfast, which we were told in advance. Kitchenette very well equipped. It included bottles of water in fridge. Best surprise was finding good filter coffee that we enjoyed with snack breakfast we had taken with us. The location was also very convenient. Only 15km form the wedding venue we needed to go to. The area was also very quiet at night, promoting good sleep! Not applicable
- Adriaan (10/5): Would love to use this for future exploration of the area, but we’re a bit worried about the loyalty of the owners 😳 - Very nice layout, relaxing, nice interior atmosphere. Suddenly accused of stealing “coffee cups “ 🤪. We had two, we left two. The crockery was somewhat dusty, we used our tissues to wipe out the dust.
- Stephanie (10/5): I loved everything about our stay and will be booking again soon - I liked how friendly and accommodating the property owners were during our stay. The property was absolutely stunning and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Will definitely book again. Everything was perfect
- Pamela (10/5): Beautiful accommodation with even more beautiful people ♥️ - Landed from a long flight and found this place in urgency. Literally heaven sent. The owners of this place are amazing people. The welcoming atmosphere, smiles and beautiful accommodation followed by the food in the restaurant next to them - 10/10 for me.
Thank you for making my stay so pleasant 🙏

- Riki (6/5): Lukewarm welcome on a hot day - The pillows were very comfortable. Plunger coffee and fresh milk. There is an aircon, but we couldn't use it because it trips the power. It was very hot, and the fan in the room didn't help much. The reception was not very welcoming.
There was no communication from the hosts prior to or during our stay. We would have liked to at least have a drink at the restaurant, but it was full. A heads-up to book in advance would have resulted in a higher score.
- Trevor (9/5): Wonderful. Really only slept there. Night one entered after 11pm and left by 11. Only entered after - The lovely setting and view. It was close to where we wanted to be for our wedding. There were two bottles of cold water in the fridge. I have recommended the place to family and friends. I will definitely make another booking. The fan and the aircon were there to bring welcome relieve from a hot day and night. Prior to our stay we had a warm welcome from the owner and her daughter. We would have preferred to have coffee, tea and sugar in sachets rather than in bottle flasks. Milk was curdy and could not be used! I missed my morning mug of coffee as a result. The place was dusty but this might be due to the fire in the area. Bed was comfortable.
- Ria (9/5): It was lovely and I'll recommend LaCasita. - Very big comfortable aparment with a nice outside area and braai. The location is excellent. We'll book again if we are in the vicinity. The keybox was upside down and difficult to open with the code and to get the key back into the lockbox due to that fact.
- Andie (9/5): Lovely place, excellent value in Stanford - Excellent value for money in the centre of Stanford
- Lucy (9/5): - Everything....my time was very short but loved the accommodation and felt safe and secure. No complaints
- Susan (10/5): Excellent value for money spot in the historic town of Stanford. - We felt very comfortable in the unit. We had a patio with a braai area, table and chairs. Bed was super comfy. Shower was great. Stable wi-fi, and everything we needed for our stay in the kitchen. We also had some good options for TV such as Netflix. Hosts were so friendly, communicative and helpful. Nothing to comment on here.

- Taryn (9/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Relaxing and secure! - It was a really comfortable and quirky little apartment within walking distance of all the shops and galleries.
- Katrin (9/5): -
- Alexander (10/5): Fantastic - Absolute lovely place, quirky, but spacious, comfortable. Nothing
- Elizabeth (8/5): Cosy Stay in Village Centre - Cosy place in the town centre and next to restaurants. Had most of what we needed, except a bread knife! Owner seems lovely and interesting. Would prefer having an electric blanket to a gas heater, and pillow protectors for that extra layer of hygiene.
- Gizelle (10/5): Exceptional -

- Dominique (9/5): The location is ideal and the hosting was so friendly that we would not hesitate to stay again! - It was self catering, but SO central that you could just stroll to all types of food establishments. It was absolutely perfect of our 2 night stay, and when we go back to Stanford again, we would not hesitate to stay at La Casita again.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -

- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious apartment with a well stocked kitchen.
Beautifully decorated keeping the Mexican theme of the restaurant next door.
Lovely spacious outdoor area to chill.
Friendly and helpful owners
If you like Mexican food, recommended eating in their restaurant
- Nicole (9/5): Would stay again :) -
- Charmian (9/5): Superb - It was very comfortable and clean. We had everything that we needed. The decor was.lovely and
The outside area is very comfortable and attractive. No complaints
- Dr (10/5): Excellent accommodation and location in Stanford! - The interior is fabulous and much attention was given to small details that added to our comfort. The location cannot be better, and the hosts were extremely welcoming.
Don’t forget to visit their restaurant, La Cantina, next door! There was nothing to dislike.
- Terry (10/5): A Fun and Fabulous week away. Great hosts and great accomodation. - We had a fabulous weeks stay at Lacasita. A really fun and funky space that is tastefully decorated with love and care and great attention to detail.A real home from home. Although it is next to the Mexican restaurant(which is great fun and the hosts are amazing and warm and welcoming),we didn’t hear any noise at all.
The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a self catering break and the patio area is fantastic with comfie seating, a great dining table and braai area. It is covered too so you can use it even if it is raining. The outside area doubles the size of the Accomodation. There is parking right outside and it is in walking distance to everything in the town. We loved every minute of everything and highly recommend both the Accomodation and the restaurant, Lacantina. The Accomodation is exactly like the pictures. Thank you Mark and Lyn Nothing
- Wayne (9/5): Siesta & Fiesta - Loved the quirky decor and nice big verandah to relax. A geat supper at their Mexican restaurant completed the experience. LA Casita is centrally located & we enjoyed a walk to see the beautiful Stanford Christmas lights. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Nothing
- Inge (10/5): Charming stay with beautiful hosts next to an amazing restaurant! - Charming and lovely! Nothing!
- Swingler (9/5): Central, spacious, friendly. - Well situated, spacious, super friendly, all I needed. Potentially noisy - it's part of a bar restaurant - but I wasn't disturbed. The power failure was responded to immediately and fixed as quickly. One caution; the pricing is at the far end of 'value', but I'd pay it again :-)
- Lynda (10/5): We cant wait to go back and spend a few more days staying at Lacasita and exploring more of Stanford - The room was very well decorated, which made it feel very uplifting. It was also very spacious and had an awesome kitchenette. For me, the best feature was the courtyard, which was spacious, well decorated, and had braai facilities—just relaxing and enjoyable. There was absolutely nothing I disliked about the accommodation!
- Louis (8/5): Very good - Secure parking.
- Adele (9/5): Perfect spot for a short getaway to the quaint little village of Stanford. - Very central location, well equipped with quirky decor and the best bar in town right next door. All good.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely time and our hosts were fabulous do yourself a favour and also eat at the La Cantina restaurant. Will definitely recommend the accommodation and the restaurant.
- Julian (8/5): Very good -
- Cheryl (10/5): A touch of originality and comfort combined into one. - We had a wonderful overnight stay. Property was spacious, colourful and interestingly decorated. Felt more like a home away from home. Location in the town couldn’t have been better. Hosts were on site and very accommodating and approachable. Would stay there every time !
- Trevor (8/5): Very good -
- Doo (9/5): Superb - Great place. Nice outdoor Braai area. Bed a bit small
Bar fridge a bit small
Couldn't get Netflix to work
- Jenny (10/5): Loved our stay. A really great place to stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. - Location was great. Close to all the action to make it easy to walk around. A gorgeous spacious room, bathroom with awesome shower, great kitchen area which we sadly didn't have time to use and awesome relaxing outside porch and private braai area.
- Andre (9/5): Superb -
- Warren (9/5): Superb -
- Vicki (9/5): Superb - Lovely, vibrant & somewhat quirky. A very comfortable place to relax & unwind. It is on the main road, next to a vibey restaurant - a con for me but perhaps a pro for a younger person 😊 & there isn’t a dedicated parking space for the property, if the town gets busy, you may not be able to park at the place.
- Redman (9/5): Superb -
- Gillian (10/5): great qccommodation - our accommodation had everything we needed. Quirky but functional and convenient. Our. hosts couldn't have been nicer.
- Sally (6/5): Pleasant - Location No extra care taken, no shower caps, old soap, terrible toilet paper and a tiny bed two people can’t sleep in it.
- Coenraad (7/5): The presence of cats should be made known to guests when booking is made. - The place is warm and clean. The presence of a cat or cats resulted in an allergic reaction to one of the guests which severely dampened the experience.
- Iris (9/5): A Gem - loved the decor, the outside area the inside space and location it accommodation didn't have an oven which is not a great problem but an airfryer to heat up pastries etc would be a nice add on.
- Dianne (7/5): Very comfortable and central - N/A A bit noisy
- Pieter (9/5): Nice flat with everything needed to do self-catering, - Lovely old town and nice places to eat. Nothong.everything was perfect.
