The reception inducts you on everything on the property including the bar that I was told is not part of the establishment that is Halaal The bar I was told is a different establishment within the property. So, you swipe the restaurant, then the bar in one night. Ridiculous charges on cross border!

• Wagner (7/5): The best asset is their attentive and kind staff - The receptionist demonstrated exceptional professionalism, attentiveness, and sensitivity to guests' needs. Upon my arrival at the hotel at 2 a.m. and departure before 6 a.m., he proactively arranged a snack for me, without my request. I deeply appreciated this thoughtful gesture. I was allocated a room on the first floor, near some refrigeration equipment that generated noise, disrupting the quality of my sleep. This was especially problematic, as I had only about three hours to rest before my flight.
• Anabela (8/5): A great stay. - I really enjoyed the hotel as a whole. The outdoor area at the entrance, the reception as well as the garden by the pool were extremely agreeable. The staff (also the manager) were very friendly and the location was excellent. I was counting on a terrasse and a view - all according to the room description at booking.com. I was offered, first a room with a high window (no view whatsoever), and after that a view that was pretty unpleasant. I was very disappointed, but the manager was very reasonable and gave me an "executive room" with a pleasant view - with no extra costs. A fair solution :-)
• David (6/5): Mixed review - A mixed review. The room was fine, air-con worked well, nice bed and was clean. The bathroom was very dated, shower head didn't sit in cradle so water went everywhere. The restaurant is halal so doesn't serve alcohol with meal. They let people smoke in outside area even though there was a no smoking sign. Also people smoked in the indoor bar area - not nice. It's a bit expensive for a medium rated hotel. We arranged airport transfer to pick us up but driver left because our flight was 30 minutes late so we had to call and were hanging around while he came back.

• Tony (7/5): Overall the stay was pleasant - The location worked for me. The staff was excellent. The room shower - no hot water for the second person to shower- reported it but nothing happened. Breakfast - There was limited chicken, more beef, which is against my religion, no bacon/pork sausage/lamb sausage. Gym - this is old and needs a revamp, there was not yoga mat for my training. Room - the suffiness was unbearable which prompted for the window to remain open.

Improve on availability of adaptors since you get travellers from all over the worlld.

I would suggest covering the food to prevent flies from sitting on them. My bathroom could use a bit of an upgrade. The water does not go down the drain in the shower. Regardless the bathroom was clean. Furthermore, they should at least have a few irons available to guests when they need them.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Economy room sucks!!!!!! - I booked what they call an economy room, this room has no pictures available so that you know what you are purchasing and they did that on purpose. After check in, then allocated me room 204 which was the smallest bedroom I have ever been in all my life. I immediately went to the reception to seek a room change because not only was this room minute, it was also very close to the reception with heavy foot path. The room was poorly ventilated and noisy due to traffic outside, which I told the people at the reception but they could care less. My 6 nights were prepaid, if not, I would have left the hotel immediately but it meant forfeiting all the 6 nights. I unhappily spent the first night in that room but first thing in the morning I went back to the reception where new staff were working and they were able to move me to another room, still economy so still small but bigger than the previous room. It was very aggravating. The best thing about the whole trip was one of the staff name Ezekiel, he was patient, helpful and always wearing a smile. Otherwise their food is good as is the location and it is very clean. Caution: be prepared to feel catastrophic if you choose the economy room. And management, put the pictures up so guest know exactly what they are paying for

• Tor Hugne (8/5): Good for a three star! - Hotel Terminus is a good chioce when in Maputo for business. Particularly their fast wifi was a bonus and many of the staff speak good English. The room I got had no window to the outside but one towards the stairs where people were passing which was a minus. There is a new and an old part of the hotel, so differences in the rooms are big.

• Barry (8/5): Comfortable, central accomodation in Maputo - The staff at the Terminus Hotel, Maputo are very accomodating and friendly. The venue is close to the city centre and the airport. The breakfast is more than sufficient to get you through the day and dinner menu has a great selection of meals to choose from including vegitarian , meat, fish and of course prawn options.

• Oms (10/5): - Indeed at Hotel Terminus, one gets a "Five Start Comfort at Three Star Prices". All staff at the hotel, from the Director General (Mr. Macsud Sidique), the front desk, restaurant, room service cleaners and the security are extremely responsive, accommodating, and helpful to my needs...and they do with a smile. The location was excellent. The breakfast menu and the lunch/dinner were both reasonable and extreme delicious. Upon arrival at the airport, I got picked up by the hotel shuttle driver without any problems. In short, I will highly recommend this hotel. Hotel Terminus will be my home-away-from-home each time I visit Maputo.

The staff tracked me down and returned it to me. The food in the restaurant is very good. The hotel rooms are a little small but quite comfortable. Exercise room is ok. Very nice shower with hot water. I highly recommend the hotel as a very good value. Not fancy, but good value.
