• Michael (10/5): Five October nights at Benvenuto Beach House - The location was fantastic and very convenient to the beach, Old Town, and the train station. Angelo is a great host and a wealth of knowledge about the area. Also, having a washing machine is a big plus if you're on a long stay and need clean clothes for the rest of your trip. Not a real negative, but if you're a light sleeper, you're going to hear some train noise during the night because the apartment is fairly close to the train tracks. But the view from the patio more than makes up for that factor.

Apartment is very large and airy. Only five stairs to the entrance!!Great patio for sitting and watching the swimmers and boats. Angelo kept in touch with us and answered any questions we had quickly. Would definitely stay again! Can’t think of a thing!!

Any pictures of old Monterosso include a picture of Angelo’s house because it is in the center of everything Some work needed on bathroom but just to make it perfect. • Martina (5/5): Wir würden kein Aufenthalt in diesem Ort in der Hauptsaison empfehlen. Die Wohnung hatte einen wunderschönen Blick aber - Die Aussicht war sehr schön und Angelo der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen in der Fewo. Der Ort mit den Restaurants sowie der Spielplatz waren sehr schön. Die Unterkunft bräuchte eine Grundsanierung. Die Küche sowie die Bäder müssen erneuert bzw. Saniert werden. Der Lüfter im Badezimmer war defekt. Die Klimaanlage war sehr laut und hat komische Geräusche gemacht in dem einen Schlafraum. Das Licht im Flur war ebenfalls defekt. Da sich im Flur die Kleiderschränke befinden konnte man kaum etwas sehen. Wir mussten mit Tischlampen improvisieren. Es gab nur 4 Wassergläser und Töpfe die nicht mehr schön waren. Zudem ist die Küche sehr alt und roch dementsprechend wenn man die Türen öffnete. Die Markise ist defekt… Laut Bemerkungen wohl schon seit Juli 2024. Es gab keinen Sonnenschirm auf der Terrasse bei bis zu 35 Grad und Sonne bis 14 Uhr. Mit Kindern ist dies nicht tragbar. Auch hier mussten wir improvisieren mit unseren eigenen Strand Sonnenschirm. Die Waschmaschine wurde in unseren Aufenthalt am 4. Tag repariert. Leider mussten wir selber noch einmal reinigen bevor wir den Urlaub antreten konnten. Die Wohnung befindet sich im direkten Zugang der Bootsanleger Stege, sodass Tausende Menschen täglich aus anderen Orten über diesen Zugang in den Ort monterosso gelangen und alle an dieser Terrasse vorbeilaufen. Zudem standen die Menschen und lagen direkt vor der Terrasse weil dort nachmittags Schatten war um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken. Der Ort ist wunderschön aber leider touristisch zu überlaufen. Am Strand konnte man nicht treten vor Menschen. Die Wasserqualität wurde zunehmend schlechter im laufe eines Tages. Wir sind dann abends spät baden gegangen. Die Restaurants sind ebenso toll aber auch entsprechend hochpreisig. Eine Zugfahrt mit 4 Personen in den nächsten Ort kostete uns 57 Euro hin und zurück. Und auch die anderen Cinque Terre Dörfer sind leider zu überfüllt. Somit geht die Schönheit verloren in diesen Orten. Zudem hatten wir ein Tag Jugendliche in der Wohnung über uns,die sich daneben benommen und ihren Müll auf unsere Terrasse geworfen haben sowie extrem laute Musik gehört haben.

• Pia Therese (10/5): Location, location, location! - Angelo, the host, is a true gem, he welcomed us upon arrival and explained everything we needed about the house and the surroundings. The house is 700 years old, but still appears to be new, it is renewed in a very stylish way and the decorations are just perfect. The location can not be better, just across the beach, which we used every day. So nice to sit on the patio and hear the ocean waves, and watching the boats and all the tourists coming ashore. Just a short walk to all the shops and restaurants in the old town of Monterosso. The cleaning could´ve been better, especially in the kitchen. It also lacks some cook ware, like a good frying pan and some more plates, glasses and cups. No dishwasher. The beds are a bit too short for us Norwegians, but it wasn´t a big deal.

He’s working on a few things, but it really did not hinder our trip at all. Very minor things that the host discussed with us.
• Sean (10/5): Angelo welcomed us on arrival, and we had a great 3 days in Monterosso. From beach, to town, to boat excursion and cooki - The location was perfect. Cannot get better. Angelo, the host, very attentive and helpful, the house was modern, quaint, comfortable and very welcoming. The town, shops, bakery, restaurants, bars just a few feet away. If going to Monterosso and this place available, grab it.

A few minutes and you're at the best restaurants in town. Angelo our host provided great local tips. We can't recommend this place enough.
• Anonymous (10/5): We had a fantastic visit and would highly recommend this property. Suggest reaching out directly to the owner if possib - This is a truly unique property in Monterosso….nothing closer to the beach than this apartment. The property was clean, comfortable and very conveniently located on the more desirable older side of the town. It was about a 8-10 minute walk from the train station through a pedestrian tunnel to the house. The apartment is on the first level and there are two apartments above but we never heard a sound from them. The host, Angelo, met us at check in and provided helpful information and was always very responsive to questions prior to and during our stay about things to do and places to go. The apartment would be comfortable for two couples with one bedroom with an en suite bathroom with toilet, bidet and bathtub. The second bedroom has access to a bathroom just down the hall with a shower. Angelo said he is working on addressing some issues with water spilling onto the bathroom floor from the shower and no matter what we did (we followed all instructions) there was almost always a puddle on the floor after showers. Not a big deal…..just an annoyance that hopefully has already been fixed. Also would suggest that there be some inexpensive folding beach chairs available to guests to use when sitting on the sandy beach. Also note that there is a washing machine available on the porch but all drying is by air on an outside rack for however many hours are needed (as is apparently common in Italy as compared to the US where most people use a dryer to quickly finish laundry).

• Catherine (10/5): Can't get closer to the beach. Historic home in a great area. Super kind host. - A truly unique property in Monterosso. It is about a 8 minute walk from the train station - slight incline but a fairly easy walk. The historic house sits right along the beach. There is a lovely outdoor patio overlooking the sea. There is a well equipped kitchen, large living room with dining table, two bedrooms (one queen sized bed with en suite bathroom with tub but no shower) and one bedroom with two single beds (that can be pushed together if needed). There is a second bathroom with shower at the end of the hallway. The host Angelo greeted us at the beach house. He provided useful information about hiking and food options in the area. There was a clothes washing machine outside on the patio and a drying rack. The beach house is a historic building and can be seen in much of the local artwork displayed in the town. Although the house is close to the beach and the area is busy during the day, the property was quiet at night. Angelo was very proud of the heritage of the home and was a fabulous source of information on Cinque Terre. If this property is available during your stay, grab it.
• Kimberley (10/5): Exceptional - We felt privileged to be able to spend time at this historic beach house! What a location! Honestly wished we'd book to stay a little longer. Comfy beds, great shower, and nice space to spread out a little bit at this stage of our trip. Private patio is right on the ocean and shops and restaurants are a quick walk away. Angelo, the host, was incredibly kind and eager to make our stay enjoyable. Don't miss your chance to stay here!

The house is perfectly located on the beach and you can even hear the waves at night. My son enjoyed the sea glass hunting on the beach… just a few steps from the front door. It was perfect. Wish we had more time to spend there.
• Stefanie (10/5): Brilliant stay! - The property could not be better located. I think it might be the only lodging in the 5T area that is right on a swimmable beach. Just steps away from the old town, with easy access to the cemetery and a trail that leads up the hill for a nice walk. Angelo, the owner, is very gracious and helpful. We have been here twice and both times we found ourselves plotting to buy the apartment! Our 12-year-old daughters love it here! We can sit on the patio with a glass of wine and watch them play on the beach. What could be better?
• Tom (7/5): Fantastic location but disappointed not as advertised. - The location is outstanding. Beachfront, beautiful view and convenient to downtown, restaurants and shopping areas. The owner was very helpful in providing recommendations on restaurants and information on Monterosso. We booked this property since it was advertised as having two bedrooms and two full baths. Upon arrival we were told by the host that the shower in the one bath was not usable and that both couples need to share the same shower in the other small bathroom. We were very disappointed since it wasn’t as advertised. The kitchen had no cereal bowls. The property also needs some end of the season maintenance and up keep.

• Travelchick15 (10/5): Amazing! One of the best places we stayed in our 4 week trip! - An exceptional location! Stunning views very close to train station and restaurants. Ours host was amazing, greeting us on arrival and providing his recommendations for eating out and activities. It really felt like being at home each day. Would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend staying here. The main bathroom needs some repairs / updates. The host mentioned this was going to be addressed over the low season.

Angelo was gracious to explain the hiking/train options and which restaurants to go to. Beach access is literally at your door front. Highly recommend for location, views, we wish we stayed longer than 3 nights. Bar stools on terrace would help look out to beautiful views of water.

• Kirsten (10/5): Incredible. Couldn't have been better. - This is accomodation would have to be the best in the whole of the Cinque Terre. Could not fault it. The location is incredible, beds were comfy, rooms were quiet and you could hear no outdoor noise, and could be made pitch black at night time. Beautifully air conditioned. Has a washing machine, a well appointed kitchen. It is better in real life, the photos do it no justice. Have already recommended friends and family to stay here when they visit. Angelo is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Nothing. Everything was perfect.

A truly magical location-- right on the beach, close to town and the train station. Angelo was the perfect host. He gave us a tour (and some history) of both the home and the town when we checked in, which made our stay more meaningful. He was very attentive to our needs during our time at the property. We had a minor issue with one of the AC units, but Angelo promptly addressed this.

• Leslie (7/5): Lovely location with warm host at property that needs some TLC. - Benvenuto beach house location cannot be beat! Angelo the owner operator happily met us beyond the tunnel and welcomed and guided us to his family’s home. The AC worked beautifully and there was great water pressure. Coffee maker was awesome and the view and deck are world class. There was a leak in the bathroom and Angelo attended to it quickly. This is an older property that needs some regular maintenance (refer to the bathroom leak above). The fridge was not very clean and the freezer was dirty and full of random food. The beds were hard and pillows flat but we could have abided that were the sheets not really rough. If Angelo updated his beds, bedding and did a proper renovation of a long term water problem in the main bath this beach house would be exceptional.

The location is excellent as it is right beside the beach and the dock. - Great location in Monterroso Our group tends to like to prepare our own meals and we found the kitchen lacked many items. One of the bathrooms is tired and musty. Difficult to use the appliances and they are dated. Lack of towels and beach towels

He then took us on a brief tour of the town and gave us dining and entertainment advice. He then met us at check out and made sure we were pleased and satisfied. This was a great experience.
• John (10/5): It was a highlight of my European trip. I feel like I lucked out. Wonderful - This is an excellent location. It's the furthest north of the cinque terra towns and is convenient to the trains, ferry, town shops, dining and beaches. The host was very gracious and accommodating. The house was huge with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Extremely large living room and dining area as well as a well supplied kitchen with stove, fridge and kitchen supplies. I like to people watch and it couldn't have been better for that. As people were getting on and off the ferry, going to and from the beach, you could watch them all arrive and depart. Plenty of boats to watch too. No real negatives here.

• Matthew (9/5): The location and convenience of Benvenuto Beach House cannot be beat! - The location of Benvenuto Beach House cannot be beat. It is literally the only house located on the beach in Monterosso al Mare. We most enjoyed time spent on the balcony looking right onto the beach, having a beer or glass of wine, and enjoying the incredible antipasti from local eateries that we would bring back to the house. The host of the property is very friendly and communicative, which was very much appreciated. The main problem during our stay is that none of the A/C units within the house were functioning properly. The host did make every effort to address the problem, and compensated us for the inconvenience, however it did affect our overall satisfaction with the stay. This being said, we would consider staying at the house again in the future, especially when the units are repaired.

Surprisingly peaceful given the nearby train line and bars and cafes in centre of the old Town. The apartment was clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen, so we cooked and ate on the terrace overlooking the sea every night we stayed. Easy access to the rest of the Cinque Terre and Angelo the host was friendly, informative and very easy to deal with.

• Kandace (5/5): Lovely home on the beach but aircon doesn’t work! - Lovely location on the beach-very noisy every night with parties near by and the train so loud until 2am then starts again at 5am!! We came to benvenuto beach house because our current accomodations air conditioning didn’t work only to arrive at benvenuto beach house where we were told the aircon works for it not to. We were travelling with a 7 month old and this wasn’t acceptable in such hot weather. The host did try to fix the aircon but it didn’t work. He also offered a discount because of the inconvenience however then said no he would give us one.
