- Alexandra (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the dales! - Beautiful cottage with everything you could need! The fresh bread and scones were a lovely touch. Excellent location just a short stroll into the town. Had no issues with parking. A little difficult to find when driving but ended up parking just outside without even realising, and went to a pub to get our bearings!
- John (10/5): - It's very clean. Good amount of space. Nicely decorated inside with personality. Excellent location. Easy to park. Owners are very helpful Would be nice to have a washing machine for longer stays. Launderette just round corner.

- Naida (10/5): Convenient, central with friendly hosts. Gorgeous accommodation. - Excellent location, lovely welcome pack. Slightly tricky to find but contacted the hosts and they "talked us to the property". Met both the hosts when we were enjoying the outside seating area, both very friendly, welcoming and helpful. If only Google Maps could find it!! But then that's Google's problem :)
- hazel (8/5): Comfortable stay in the centre of Hawes - Bed very comfortable
Clean and well presented
Plenty of hot water
Close to a good pub Finding the accommodation was initially tricky so would suggest more detailed instructions. Obviously after we found it it was easy!!!
We did manage close street parking.
- Donna (10/5): Fab little cottage, great location to get to attractions and. It’s in a nice community and was fully equipped with every - Clean, tidy and great location Nothing
- Nigel (8/5): Comfortable, clean and great location for exploring the Dales. - Property is a small one bed ground floor cottage. It has a back yard with seating and plenty of space inside for a couple. We were touring the Lakes and Dales and this was perfect for a few nights stay. Basics like, tea, milk, butter, bread and scones were provided which was great.
Hawes is a nice old market town with plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops as well as a Masham and Wensleydale Cheese centre so enough to do. Right in the heart of Wensleydale with wonderful countryside. Only small criticism was that the TV could do with being slightly bigger for the size of room but we spent most our time out and about so this wasn’t a great problem.
- Mark (10/5): Station Cottage 2 day break - The welcome pack and the quality of the facilities were exceptional.
Great location. We assumed with the name "Station Cottage" it would have had something to do with the railway, but we were wrong. It was once the old police station, so we spent 2 nights banged up in the cells!!
We met the owners who live in the old Sargents house next-door who are a lovely couple.
Would highly recommend this place. Having to go home.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage -
- Elizabeth (9/5): 25th Wedding Anniversary - Everything.
Comfy bed, spacious rooms, good courtyard
Clean and nicely decorated Great location in the village but was a little bit hard to find and parking could be a bit tricky
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Ray (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay at Station Cottage, we would not hesitate in recommending it. - We did not receive the email with the door code. We texted the owners who quickly sent it to us.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Forensic (9/5): Warm and welcoming - love the Dales - The arrival scones were incredible. Heating was incredibly easy to operate, which was very helpful. Instant hot water. It had everything you would need except a washing machine (that was my error; I didn't check properly when I booked). Comfy and warm. Lots of leaflets about things to do locally. Good carpets. Kitchen nice. Bed firm. Parking was occasionally tricky; busy outside and down the street. Shower quite small, but hot water instant, shampoo, bodywash, conditioner and flannels provided and plenty of towels, so it's not a complaint at all!
- Helen (9/5): Hawes for 2 nights - Very comfortable cottage in a great location.
The welcome pack was a lovely touch especially the gorgeous bread!
- Janet (9/5): Perfect base for escape to the Dales - Good location, easy to park. Although the cottage was on the main street of Hawes, there was minimal noise from the road, and after 9pm it was very quiet. Accommodation all on one floor. Very clean. Well equipped kitchen. Good natural light in the kitchen, living room and bathroom. Comfy bed (apart from the wooden feet that I kept catching my toes on).
- David (10/5): Perfect (not really a sentence but you get the idea). - Ideal location for my planned visit to the Dales museum and a short walk to the pubs and restaurants in the town centre. Although I only stayed two nights there was everything I would have needed for a longer stay (be aware that there is no washing machine if that is important to you, it wasn’t to me and it is made clear in the description that there isn’t one). The welcome pack was very … welcome, and the scones were an unexpected treat. The adjustable bedside lights with integral USB charging points were very nifty. Everything worked, everything was comfortable (a bit of a squeeze round the end of the bed but you can see that in the photos and it’s really not a problem). There is now a blind on the back door window (the lack of one was mentioned in other reviews) so that’s great. Overall excellent and would happily stay here again. Nothing.
- Paul (10/5): Wonderful 2 days break - Location good, extremely comfortable, Spotlessly clean. Totally lovely stay good welcome pack will definitely book again. Nothing
- Sallie (10/5): Excellent - Everything you would need for a stay was provided, and also little extras as well Nothing
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - Location perfect for exploring the Dales without needing to get in the car! Centre of the village, plenty of places to eat and drink. Comfortable, clean and cosy.
- Vanessa (10/5): Lovely relaxing break - The cottage is perfect. This is our second stay. There is everything you need from toiletries to fresh bread and butter. It's spotlessly clean. Bed is very comfortable. Nice seating area at the back.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Great central location, beautifully presented property that has been tastefully decorated. Access to a kitchen was appreciated as were the additional offerings of fresh bread and cookies
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (10/5): Wonderful Stay , Thank You - Everything, the hosts made the cottage very welcoming. They helped us with information on places we particularly wanted to visit. Lots of thoughtful welcoming touches. Would love to return.
- Sharon (9/5): Superb - Fabulous location 👌.
Really nice to have some basic essentials when we arrived eg bread, milk butter. Lovely cookies and good coffee!
Very comfy bed!
- Jill (8/5): Very good -
- Phil (10/5): A real home from home experience. A warm, very cosy place in an excellent location to explore the surrounding area. - The Station Cottage is a beautiful cottage, located right in the centre of Hawes. The cottage is decorated beautifully throughout, creating a warm cosy atmosphere, and is spotlessly clean. Milk, bread, tea, coffee and some delicious local ginger biscuits were all provided and this all adds to the welcoming feeling the owners create for guests. Also of note is the excellent communication we received from Harmesh and Brian prior to arriving whereby they shared information on parking, places to visit and the area in general. We had the pleasure to meet Harmesh & Brian and it was clear they had a passion to provide guests with a memorable stay. We will be back :)
- Johanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ester (6/5): Pleasant -
- William (10/5): Excellent little cottage for a weekend away, perfect location -
- Louise (8/5): A cosy retreat after a day walking the dales. - Fabulous location. Cozy cottage. Welcoming hosts Some areas of the property are a little tired but it’s to be expected of such an old quaint cottage.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - We were welcomed. There was a welcome pack which was welcome highly recommend Nothing
- Jackwales (10/5): Highly Recommended - really kind hosts who provided a lovely welcome pack and extras! It was a little difficult to find in the dark bur I'm told that's sorted now. Very comfortable living and kitchen arrangements and the bed is soooo good it felt like I was having a hug. The attention to detail and the artwork were lovely. Highly recommend 👍😁 Nothing not to like other than the window in the back door could use a blind or a curtain. It looks out onto an enclosed yard but you pass it on the way to the bathroom...
- Stuart (10/5): Fabulous - Arrived to find bread, milk & biscuits which was a lovely touch thx
Everything was great at the property & in a perfect location Nothing
- Sallie (9/5): Superb -
- Joe (9/5): Superb -
- Vanessa (10/5): Wow. Could not fault our stay. It was amazing. - We loved everything about our stay. The lovely Host left butter, fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar and cookies for when we arrived. The cottage was so beautifully decorated and so cozy. Everything was in the cottage that we needed. Right in the heart of Hawes we got to get out and explore the beautiful countryside. Nothing. If was perfect in every way.
- Julian (8/5): A nice comfy stay, a little on the expensive side. - Nice comfy apartment, very clean, and very well decorated. Parking facilities were very good. Quiet area. Good location. 1) No curtain covering the backdoor to the yard, so strangers walked past occasionally.
2) Part of a loaf was left in the breadbox, so I don't know how fresh it was. A small whole loaf would be better.
3) No bath.
4) I couldn't get the central heating on, but I made use of the electrical heaters provided that were sufficient.
5) I put the keys back in the safety box on my exit, but I was unable to lock the safety box, so they could have been stolen.
6) More bin bags could have been provided.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Location facilities cottage Nothing
- Kirsty (8/5): Perfect getaway - Gorgeous little cottage.
Had everything needed for a long weekend away. Very clean. No log fire but the heating system kept the place lovely and warm. The bed was very comfortable, lovely fresh bedding. Soft fluffy towels and toiletries in the bathroom.
Fantastic location Not dog friendly. We usually take ours but would definitely stay again if we decide not too in the future
- Alison (10/5): Great cosy cottage for couple - Lovely cosy cottage in centre of Hawes
Everything you need and hosts very helpful. Lovely to have tea coffee biscuits on arrival with milk and bread and butter! Easy to access will be back Nothing to say
- Lorraine (10/5): The property is situated within minutes of the high street , where everything is too hand. The cottage had everything yo - Location was amazing ,minutes from high street and local amenities There was nothing to dislike about the property
- Ford (8/5): Nice place! - Comfortable and handy for the town centre.
Heating worked well and was needed. Thought it could do with a bit of tidying up in places. Paint peeling and rather unfinished in places.
No BBC1
- Sarah (9/5): Very cosy place to relax - Excellent location right in the heart of the village
- Daphne (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything .The location was perfect and the cottage was great . Nothing
- Christine (8/5): A very relaxing stay. - The Hosts had left supplies for us like bread, milk, biscuits which was really nice. The bed was really comfy and lovely bedding and towels. The location was good a very quite and peaceful place to stay. The bathroom is quite small and you have to go through the lounge and kitchen to get to it.
