• Leah (9/5): Great value for money feedback - The affordability and especially it is just within the center. The place look dark (I think bc they use dark colors or colorful lines or beddings, and the pillow case looks old (but it smells good though). Well, I think it is the value that you get based on the cost. And it's okay for me.

Also probably the best seafood restaurant in siquijor, o keep ordering a different fish for every meal and even after 4-5 meals I still like it! Owner and staff very friendly and helpful as well, they help me find hospitals that treat dog bites and I was lucky to be able to have stayed here. • Ella (3/5): Good aircon and staff were nice enough but room and facilities were terrible - The aircon worked well, they helped us hire a bike, and the location was okay Probably the worst accommodation we have stayed in from our 5 months travelling across SE Asia. Black mould all over the bathroom meant the bathroom had a really really bad smell. When we arrived we found long black hairs under the blanket, the shower was freezing cold (this may be common in the area) and weak, the tap produced practically no water at all because of the water pressure, the room is tiny with one small window so it feels somewhat like a prison cell. On our last night a smell of sewage coming from the hallway worked its way into our room leading to the whole room smelling of drains. We are not ones to complain about nothing but this place is not worth paying for at all

• Yasmin (5/5): Ok - It was a good location good value for the money I had bedbugs in my shower is broken It was really noisy and the neighbours were doing karaoke first thing in the morning. There wasn’t much security and the rooms were very tiny. The bathroom was also smelly and had lots of insects.
• Sam (7/5): Good location and get what you pay for. - Very good location & also had motorbikes for rent which you need in Siquior! Allowed us to explore the whole island with ease. In general the room was very good value for money. Would come back for sure as suited our needs. On our first night the room flooded from the toilet while we were napping, leading to our bags and the whole room getting wet. Although we got moved to another room, we got the impression from the staff that it was our fault despite waking up in shock 😂😂 didn’t seem to get any apologies for the situation.

• Alli (3/5): Moldy smelly rooms! - Francis and the staff are great. The location is good. My first room smelled very moldy so I was moved to a different room. Initially it smelled like air freshener but once the fan was on, it too smelled like mold. The door knob only worked a certain way and actually fell apart. My bathroom sink would not drain. I had spent the night before in a palace for the same money so was very disappointed at the facility. I would not stay here again.
• Tali (5/5): Passable - Location is really good. Bed and pillow were comfy. Some of the staff really did a lot to help and make my stay more comfortable. No hot water in the shower, and everything is really old and smells pretty bad.
• Katrina (4/5): would not recommend - the location is okay. we rented a scooter from them for a good price. they have free filtered water and a restaurant which seems very popular the room is very smelly, wet and mouldy. there is no good air or ventilation so it is always very moist in the room. any wet clothes or towels won’t dry. the shower has no warm water and the room is tiny.

• Colin (9/5): Superb - Great cheap place to stay, and the receptionist Francis and the rest of the team are super helpful and kind. The location is really good with lots of restaurants and bars close by ! It's basic so don't expect to much.

Its smell a little bit when you come back in the room after spending day outside but you leave the door open and it’s good. The laundry was not clean and not dry so I’ll recommend you to go in a place with dryer

It's not just a group of workers but they are like a big family and you can feel part of it. Thank you guys for everything, I will be back!

• Katarzyna (9/5): Great stay in Siquijor if you want some privacy - The room was tiny but just enough if you want to have some privacy without spending lots of money. The bed was comfy. There was a fan which was just enough for the space. Private bathroom with shower gel and shampoo. The staff was super sweet and helpful with tips for exploring Siquijor. They provide laundry service and there’s also a nice restaurant just outside the rooms. There was a lot of ants in the bathroom but it wasn’t that much of a problem for me. It would be nice to have a rack outside the door for wet towel etc

• Helena (7/5): Good - The location was great in the heart of San Juan. The attached restaurant, had really great food and a good atmosphere. The room was small but great size for budget travellers. The staff were really friendly and kind, and gave us lots of information about things to do! The fan rooms were unbearably hot overnight, would recommend getting an aircon room if you can afford. We were in the Crabs room and some nights our bed would be soaked with sweat and we even had to sleep with the door open a couple of times. There was some ants too but nothing too crazy!
• Marina (7/5): For the price you pay, comparing to other places, it worth it. - - the location - staff are very friendly and helpful - we rent a bike in the there - food from the restaurant was nice - the room needed maintenance - very old bed sheet very old, it was almost transparent - new towel with a lot of lint coming out

We also tried mopeds here for the first time (after 5 months travelling in Asia) and they were so helpful teaching us how and made us feel comfortable. We loved it and the roads are super easy. We at the restaurant on our last evening and wish we did sooner - so yum! Tiny room and can get quite hot but honestly for the value we didn’t mind at all!

• Aaron (3/5): Fine for a budget place - Location okay, a handful of nice restaurants nearby. Peaceful area, no issues with noise. The owner Francis is nice and helpful, you can tell he works very hard everyday. He organised a driver to take us to some places on the island. Can’t comment on the restaurant though as we did not eat there. Have to travel to get to nice swimming beaches. Room was too small for 2 people and only had a fan which we knew when booking, but it was a huge mistake, too hot to sleep especially when there was a power cut on the last night. Pointless small desk in the room which could be replaced with some storage. We had issues with the room from the start. Bathroom sink had no water so we told the owner who already knew but didn’t tell us on check in. It couldn’t get fixed that day as it was Sunday, which was fine, and it was fixed the next day. However the next day the shower cut off halfway through, but we decided to go out for dinner to give it time to see if it came back. When we came back the bathroom sink was exploding from underneath and flooding the bathroom, luckily we had shut the door otherwise our belongings would have been ruined. We immediately ran to tell the owner who shut the water off from under the sink, but then was constantly coming from the tap, and he told us we would have to use it like that. The next day we asked to change rooms, as our current room was not functional, which the owner happily sorted for us. He was accommodating but there was no apology about the situation the entire time, which was disappointing.

• Franziska (2/5): Very disappointed - Location is good, right on the main road and a lot of things within walking distance. The manager was friendly, but often unavailable, the rest of the staff was okay, but not very helpful. The room was extremely tiny, very loud a/c, we had ants in the room and the bed, bed was very uncomfortable and the tap in the bathroom dripped constantly. Overall, we didn't feel comfortable at all and left after one night (had booked 5 nights).

He manage our trip and he was really helpful to organize everything for us and gave some tips. Very friendly manager. He deserve his position :) Nothing at all

• Ken (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed @ Angel wish for 5 weeks! We kept extending our stay! Needless to say we were very happy with our time there and loved the island! Francis is the greatest of hosts! A kind, caring, generous soul. He's always going above and beyond to help people out! Our room (with fan) was basic but clean and quiet. All the staff were super nice and welcoming. The food was very good. Location was perfect for us! Right next to Maite marine sanctuary, close from tubod sanctuary. Many options to spend the evenings in the area too! It was hard for us to hit the road again! Salamat ka yo!!!
• Jesper (5/5): Passable - We got a room away from the street so it was supposed to be quiet. It's cheapish. The room is very small for two people. The fan is noisy, so we turned it off, only to get shouting and drinking noises from the restaurant at 3 am. I went there and had the staff turn down their voices, they had a party going. There was only cold water.
• Laoise (8/5): Very good - Francis was more than helpful. He gave us a route to explore the island. We also rented bikes off him, and did our laundry, all at a very good price. He organised a taxi for the morning of our departure, even getting up early to see us go. I couldn’t recommend this guesthouse enough. It allowed us to explore Siquijor to its full. The food in restaurant was also 10/10. Rooms are a bit small but wasn’t overly an issue for us.

• Unai (4/5): I wouldn’t recommend staying here until they fix the problem with the bathroom. - The location is good and well, it’s cheap The bathroom (wet, Asian style) is badly built and the drainage is on the higher part of the slope, so the bathroom never drained and there’s a permanent layer of water on the floor. As in a puddle, not just wet. Because of that, the room was incredibly wet (a lot worse than outside). We told the owner about this, and he acknowledged the issue. He had us move to another room (the day after complaining), only to find it had the very same problem. We told him again and he said he knew it had the same issue. TBH I feel like it’s not OK to try to move us to a room you know has the same issue just to see if we stop complaining. He ended up admitting it’s a structural problem and that they didn’t have any room available without this problem, and suggesting we find another place to stay (which of course we did). The humidity was really unbearable. I’ve had my share of cheap lodging in Asia, believe me, and this was pretty bad. I wish I could say better things as they seemed nice and the location is fantastic. But I can’t.

• Mylena (10/5): Lovely accomodation - The staff was incredibly lovely. They took good care of me as I felt sick and invited me even to eat dinner with them. Let alone all the baby animals they have. I felt very welcomed and like home. The sink didn't work (but the shower and another tap). So it was all good in the end. Good value for money though

Fast WiFi, which is not really easy to find on the island. And the food at the restaurant is amazing!! I only stayed one night as I had to catch a ferry next morning, but would definitely come back

• Josh (10/5): Came for 5 nights and stayed 8. Could have stayed 2 weeks. - In a year of traveling around the world this has to be one of our favorite places we have stayed. It is value location, that is perfect for backpackers. Rooms are clean, safe, quiet... Internet works well, lots of food options within walking distance, and a great sea food restaurant on site. If you are looking for a great location to base yourself while on the island this is a great option. Amazing value for the money. But what made this our favorite was the staff. Francis and his team made us feel welcome and part of the family. We came for 5 nights and stayed 8. Francis helped us organize any rides, activities we needed. Offered advice on food and travel beyond just the hostel's restaurant. Francis made us feel like we were part of his family. We enjoyed a couple meals together, joked around a bunch, and even got to sing happy birthday to him. We are traveling with our two kids and the staff made our entire family feel so welcome. The kids didn't want to leave. Without a doubt if you are looking for a solid place to stay and want something basic safe & clean this place is amazing. Doesn't have a lounge area or kitchen to cook in but has hot and cold water. Every night there was a guitar player in the restaurant and after guests returned from dinners out, people gathered and shared a drink and enjoyed the music in the restaurant. Hostel is across the street from the beach, though better swimming beaches are found a 5-10min ride away. Did I mention that Francis can arrange a scooter rental if you need one. Nothing.

• Greiner (9/5): Great Experience - Location was Great Supermarket and Fruit market within Walking Distance. The staff was super friendly we had a problem with our Toilet and they Fixed it Immediately. Rooms were small but Very Clean. The room is Quite Small but there is Plenty Of Storage space under The Bed.
