Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): An excellent place to stay and an exceptional staff (A+) - Very convenient location. Parking!!!
- Joseph (4/5): Not what I had expected - The hotel overall was nice and the room was clean. The location was very nice. Being a downtown hotel, there was no free parking, the bed was a metal frame that the outside kept falling off and making noise. Breakfast was not included with our stay and when we did it was 25 dollars a person, what we got was not worth 25 dollars at all. Very disappointed

- The Weary Wanderer (5/5): Let's say it was a comfortable bed on a cold night, Just Okay. - The Beds are extremly comfortable.
TV and Channel selection good
Photos in Elevators of times gone by, gave a sense of history to surrounding area.
Valet Parking great benifit.
Coffee Machine in room
Robert at the front desk. Polite, professional and helpful I requested a room away from the Elevators. I was given Rm 1413 right next to elevators.
The room thermostat was either off or disfuctioning on arrival, The room was 16 degrees (F) on arrival
The phone in the room had also not been working. The hand set needed new batteries.
Both issues were dealt with promptly but it was inconvenient.
The window area there appeared to be a frequent cracking noise loud enought to wake you.
The Mini-fridge compressor making a loud buzzing noise throughout our stay, my wife found it difficult to sleep due to this noise.
Female front desk agent on my morning of departure. (Xiomara) I found to be abrupt, dismissive, unhelpful and unpleasant. On checking my invoice, it apparently had an over-charge [A gratuity] from the breakfast meal. It was stated that I had signed the check and added the gratuity at that time. It was directly untrue. I suggested it be removed. It was removed but (Xiomara] appeared to be frustrated by having to have it removed. [Breakfast is/and was included in the Booking] I will add. Further, I would not like to believe someone added the gratuity without my consent. I do have a copy of my original bill for the breakfast. This cannot be seen as an over-sight therefore, I consider it should be investigated and dealt with appropriately.
During my stay I did take the opportunity to use the Valet parking.
During checkout, I was having difficulty contacting the parking attendant, I asked Miss (Xiomara) at the front desk if I could also get help to complete the communication. She became abrupt with dismissive undertones in her voice "Just text them" I mentioned I had and tried to call also several times? Quote, she, (Xiomara) "Well just keep trying" saying in a flippant dissmissive tone.
What could have been a pleasant stay on departure turned into a unpleasant experience.

- Morton (6/5): “Ok” - Good staff, great location. Way too hot in room, facility felt “tired”.
- Clarissa (6/5): - Within walking distance in downtown buffalo. Attending an event at convention center and hotel was connected to convention center by walkway, though we were not allowed to use the walkway it was right around the corner so didn’t mind the walk. We were located a couple rooms down from the pool and for a few hours all we heard were kids screaming and running up and down the hallway to the pool and back.
Also charged almost 30 dollars for a breakfast that was not worth it! Small selection and food was cold. Toilet was leaking in our room.
- Collin (10/5): -
- Marina (9/5): -
- Rita M (6/5): Good hotel for an event - The room was very nice; the bathroom was on the larger side making it easier to get around. The TV was huge (maybe too huge). We were there for a concert, so we did not use any of the amenities. The staff was very nice and helpful. The price was good! I always pick a hotel with a pool for my granddaughter, and this one was not good at all. There was stuff spewing into the pool from the filter. There was no guide for the TV. We actually thought we had to pay for TV. It would have been nice if the restaurant was open later
- Reuben (10/5): - Great hotel, clean and great staff.
- Umara (7/5): -
- Lowe (8/5): -
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Every staff member I interacted with was kind and friendly! Halls are just a little worn, need freshening up.

- DHARMESHKUMAR (1/5): Complete unprofessional. - I did not like anything. We booked 1 month advance but they did not give us room till midnight 2:00 am. It was completely unprofessional. My elderly parents with me. I should get refund. I will not book hotel or anything via booking.com. We were in lobby till midnight 2:00 am. Hope you understand in what situation we were.
- Julie (8/5): - Large room. Comfy bed Hot and cold in shower was opposite- not much water pressure. Dirty glasses
- Paul (6/5): Not happy with booking.com - Staff was friendly Did not receive the room I had booked
through booking.com
- Sherianne (10/5): Refreshing - The food was excellent, staff were courteous and helpful, and the valet service was a welcome luxury.
- Zahra (4/5): - Room and bathroom had a weird smell. Need to work on cleanliness! Old and smelly rooms . Bathroom smells like urine
- Hattie (10/5): -
- amanda (8/5): Fantastic staff - The staff was wonderful and the building was beautiful The smell of weed from the room next door kept coming into our room and filled hallway. Elevators weren’t all working
- Susanne (8/5): Would stay there again! - loved the bed and pillows - TV was huge not that we had it on for more than 10 minutes. Friendly staff! we were charged a different amount than we booked it for? Still trying to sort that out. Charged over $200 more than booking site quoted.
- Ramona (8/5): Great hotel staff and we enjoyed the pool. - Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There was splatter on the wall hangings in our room. Restaurant/bar couldn’t open a table an hour before close for one person. Bar was kinda full. Got the feeling he just didn’t want to.
- Kelsey (4/5): I was really let down by my stay here. I paid extra for the continental breakfast, and it was absolutely atrocious. The - Comfy beds Rooms looked outdated, dirty, needed service
- Danielle (1/5): False advertising and absolutely terrible quality for the price. - Staff were great and apologetic for things that were beyond their control No jacuzzi which was a main point of the booking for a certain family member. Room was dirty, bathroom was extremely dingy and outdated.
- Christopher (9/5): - Requested king bed; not available upon arrival.
- Gina (9/5): - Beautiful Pool for the low attendance that area should be immaculate, cookie crumbles on the floor and clump of hair apon in. The pool showers were so wonderful. The water pressure was therapeutic.
- Ivan (5/5): - We waited a very long time for the elevator.
- Victor (9/5): I would go back. - Room etc. good. Location kind of isolated if you do not drive.
- Kimberly (5/5): Elevators took forever. Staff was OK. Rooms are not clean. Hotel needs big upgrade. - Proximity to the city and Highmark stadium Not the cleanest rooms needs updates also found sock that was not ours
- Wayne (8/5): -
- Mike (10/5): - Front desk service was amazing, great guys working the desk joking with the kids before our night out. Kicked our stay off on the right foot.
- Chrissy (10/5): - Cleanliness, comfortable lobby, close to attractions.
- Kurt (4/5): Mediocre, I have stayed at this locations many times. This was the worst visit I have had. - I like the location of this Hyatt. It is easy to navigate in and out of the city and get to all the places I want to go to. The price this time around was very fair. I booked 2 rooms. The room I shared with my kids was fine. The room I booked for my brother smelled like cat urine. The front desk did help move him out of the room and get into another room. However I asked for the rooms to be close. My room was on the 6th floor. The first room my brother was given was on the 9th. The second one he was given was on the 3rd. Either room was close at all. Also the room's all 3 that I saw show extreme wear and tear. Wall paper is peeling off in the room and in the bathrooms. Just un appealing and dirty feeling for staying at a Hyatt. Not that there was much that could be done but there was a ton of traveling hockey teams staying during my visit. I understand that they are young kids but they were playing hockey in the halls until 11:30pm. Again that is tough as these kids do have parents who didn't seem to care about the regards of other guest. Also the gentlemen behind the front desk I had my first experience with Michael tried to be funny but overall came across arrogant and rude. It could be just training and learning how to explain hotel policies with looking at ID's when multiple rooms are booked. He just had a way about him that did not make me feel welcome upon my arrival.
- David (9/5): -
- Danielle (10/5): The hotel is very clean and well kept. The staff is so friendly. The valet staff went above and beyond for us. There is - It was very clean and in a great location. Everything was perfect!
- Belles (9/5): -
- Marcela (10/5): Volvería sin dudarlo. - La ubicación, la comodidad de las camas y la amabilidad de todo el personal. Todo me encantó.
- Jan (10/5): - Good restaurant with excellent food , the best burger I ever had had in USA traveling for 20 years, also other food well cooked. nice service and looking forward to next visit with warmer weather ,not freezing temperature like late December. Smoking outside in winter time..
- Dawnalena (8/5): - It was nice. N/a
- Allan (10/5): I had a good stay. The room is clean. - Helpful staff and good location. The entrance does not have covered car entry.
- MICHAEL (9/5): New Years Eve - Staff and location Found a dirty washcloth in the room and our suite was very cold
- Mihoko (7/5): - 暖房の効きがあまり良くなかった。
- Chrissy (6/5): -
- Krista (10/5): -
- Peter (6/5): Would give the hotel another stay . - That the hotel was close to where we wanted to be . The first room we were put in was over 85 degrees with a portable ac unit in the room . Second room was better . The breakfast they offered which was $25.00 each . Which was not worth it !
- Kenneth (8/5): - Location and staff hospitality Nothing
- Harry (3/5): Will not be back, staff out front protesting, a bell of some sort going off at all hours - When you walked in it was very inviting Rooms need upgrading, walls are very thin, very noisy
- Gina (10/5): -
- christine (10/5): - The staff was fun and professional
We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect for our activities
- Jennifer (3/5): - Room was very hot and could not sleep. Unable to adjust thermostat. How hot the room was. It was 75.
- Sharee (10/5): -
- Anne (10/5): -
- Will (10/5): A lovely stay in the heart of downtown Buffalo - The staff were so polite and charismatic. They greeted us with energy.
The rooms are pristine and a great size
- Pedro (9/5): -
- Cloutier-Caron (10/5): - Great place Nothing
- Kimberly (7/5): - In town for concert at the State Theater, walk was less than 2 blocks away. Have stayed in the past and my room was immaculate. This time it was questionable. The desk chair was old and tore up, seemed out of place. Also the woman that worked in the restaurant was extremely rude. I asked "do we just sit wherever?" She sucked her teeth then said "I guess so" with an unpleasant attitude
- William (5/5): Other than location and comfort would probably stay somewhere else because of their money grab of nicky pick things that - Location Was not impressed with breakfast buffet. A waste of money. Hardly nothing and had to ask for coffee or juice. Even Comfort inns have coffee and juice dispensers out. Wanted u to pay for high speed internet. This was all a money grab from the Hyatt
- Langer (10/5): -
- Katarina (8/5): -
- Molly (5/5): It was clean but not comfortable - Clean Beds hard. Noisy. No animates
- Ludmilla (9/5): The accommodations were great, but the dining facilities need improvement. - The room and the beds were great. The location was excellent because we attended a concert at the event center. The city tram was very close. There was a coffee pot in the room, but there wasn't any fresh coffee available in the lobby, nor any continental breakfast for an early departure. There is a Starbucks, but that wasn't what I expected.
Also, the night before, we had dinner in the dining room. The wait for our meal was nearly an hour! The room was understaffed.
- Nancy (7/5): Great weekend downtown! - Perfect location for our visit! Michael at the front desk was fabulous! Valet parking pricey but excellent Anti -union
- Roberto (9/5): -
- M (10/5): -
- Tom (7/5): -
- Sharifa (9/5): - Staff was amazing, helpful and friendly Beds were smaller than anticipated
- Labaj (8/5): - The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very nice and the owner and staff were exceptional. Would definitely eat there again Hockey tournament boys took over the hotel. Elevators were kids stopping at every level and running the halls. Staff were dealing with them but still annoying when you’re on vacation. Staff were definitely trying but it really should been the parents that were no where in site.
- Warren - Cathy (7/5): It was fine. - Friendly staff Explain the parking options. You do not have to go with the valet parking. The valet parking is not part of the hotel it is separate so I understand wanting to promote it but there are other options. The bed was really soft.
- Travis (8/5): Well Located , good value - NIce location, Friendly staff, Good value No complaints
- Mick (8/5): Good and comfortable - Location was ok, but Main Street is run down and looks like it needs an upgrade and money spent on it. Main Street drab and looked poot
- Duco (3/5): Not worth the price - Location Too old
- Pamela (9/5): - Good location. Expensive parking.
- Cathleen B (10/5): -
- christine (10/5): I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt - Clean and comfortable
Great location
- David (5/5): Beaucoup trop cher - La localisation La qualité, l’état des installations.
- manuela (8/5): -
- Curt (10/5): For our first time staying there it was very memorable. - The front desk staff, Clair & Kevin and bartenders Don & Jess made the trip so much better. For room 520; There was a broke towel rack and the toilet kept running
- Darren (7/5): - Staff was very nice. Woke up at 830 to housekeeping knocking on the door. Said thought we checked out already. Paying this much for a room you would think they would have who has checked out.
- Paul Gard (8/5): - Australia
- Kirk (3/5): Do not stay hear…..sorry Hyatt this is a low point! - Nothing Poor parking, the building is tired and worn out badly. Filthy windows, broken ice maker, cabinets with torn off doors. The crowd was tough and questionable.
- Michiel (7/5): Prima hotel. - Bed en kussen was goed en prima hotel Geen negatieve dingen
- Ella (8/5): Great location - The room was huge and comfortable. The location was great to watch a show at Shea’s theatre.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were supposed to get the room by 4:00 p.m., but we received it at 4:45, and it was very frustrating. The strangest part was that they didn’t seem to think it was a problem.
We had a city view, but the windows were so dirty that we couldn’t see anything through them.
- William (7/5): -
- Andrea (5/5): I would not recommend staying at a Hyatt, particularly this one. I will not be back. - Kevin @ the front desk was great!
HBO to watch to Buffalo Bills. The elevators stopped working for two days. People were getting stuck in them. The fireman were there upon arrival.
No microwave in the room.
Hair on the bathroom floor.
Spiders on the windows.
Underwear in the stairwell.
Felt very unsafe in the stairwell.
Got charged twice for the parking across the street.
People smoking pot outside.
The breakfast area was very small and untidy. Not enough offerings for breakfast.
For the amount of money we paid, you would think we were atcha budget hotel.
