- Holly (4/5): Good location Bad boiler - I liked how close it was to my work location, it was also really close to a Lidl and a Morrisions as well, it was also close to the town centre as well.
The area felt relatively safe as there was a primary school near by and also a high school. - On multiple occasions the boiler was not working, so there was no heating or hot water for a bit of my stay. This affected my work as I had to go back up a few days early because it was so cold in the flat.
- There was a lot of stains on the furniture - Mainly the seats in the living room.
- The handles on the kitchen cabinets hadn't been clean underneath so it wasn't a fun time when I tried to open a cabinet and got my hand covered in what I hope was grease build up. - it was not fun cleaning the flat after finding this.
- The one group of people who were in the flat next to the one I had booked (also owned by the same landlord) constantly smoked inside which stunk my flat and the inner stairwell.

- Danielle (9/5): Brilliant little find. - I loved this property. I absolutely loved the layout with the bedroom at the back of the property. The landlord was awesome and allowed us a late check out which really helped me out. Great choice! Nothing. I loved my stay in Dumfries and would highly recommend this property. The only minor gripe was that previous tenants had cooked meat in the oven and did not clean up the oil spills which smoked the place out when cooking. This is not cool for people like me who doesn’t eat meat and ends up stinking of it. Please use tin foil when using somebody else’s oven!

- Derek (9/5): Spacious apartment convenient for city-centre - Lots to like - good location in what seemed (though nearby schools were closed for holidays) a quiet area. Convenient for city centre. Very spacious lounge and bedroom. Nice kitchen with great cooker. Good wi-fi. Nice welcoming words in advance from owner, and check-in code sent a few hours before arrival. I personally prefer to dine at a dining table with proper chairs, rather than at a kitchen work-top facing a cupboard and perched on a stool, but I understand the owner's choice of not 'cluttering' the lounge. Many guests would no doubt also be happy to eat sat on a sofa at a coffee table, which was the other option
Anyway, I saw all this from the photos but booked all the same!
- Alan (7/5): Good value and spacious but with downsides - Spacious, comfortable, good kitchen with decent equipment. On a quiet street with garage/Londis just round the corner plus a couple of pubs and a chippy, though sadly not a coffee shop!
Good value When I announced my arrival time the day before, the landlord said he'd send over a code, but seems he forgot...I messaged, texted, phoned, stood around on the doorstep for about an hour until he phoned back.
Room fragrance diffusers were used to mask the smell of smoke especially in the living room but I could still smell it if I closed the windows during the day. Thankfully the bedroom was fine.
I'd definitely score higher if it weren't for those two.
Beds are indeed rather firm, but this is a matter of personal taste.

- Alan (9/5): I would definitely stay there again. - I stayed 2 nights, the apartment is very clean and comfortable and fully equipped with modern appliances. It can sleep 3 people in the one bedroom. Located in quiet residential street with on-street parking and 10 mins walk to town centre. Simple txt message from landlord to inform you of key code for both the external and front doors.
- Eagle_ray (8/5): Central location, great value - Awesome location. Parking on road but directly outside. Friendly and attentive host. Everything in the apartment you'd wish for - even slippers! Great to have good WiFi and Sky TV. As someone who lives in a bigger body, I would love a slightly bigger towel. But the ones that were there were clean, soft and smelt lovely.

- Stephen (7/5): Good - This was a great, clean flat, just 10 minutes walk from downtown. On street parking was easy and convenient. Everything seemed new or nearly new in the rooms. There were one or two things that felt like economies or shortcuts. We booked for 3 people, but were given only 2 towels. There's a strange hole in the bathroom wall, through which power for an over-the-sink light was provided. Several items of furniture still had the store labels on.
The beds were incredibly hard.
None of these things destroyed the pleasant time we had in the flat. However, other similar bookings shine by having small details correct.
