Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): - it was a very beautiful place. it was such a shame that we can't cook.
- Georgia (6/5): Clean, warm and well presented but needs a few updates - Nice and tidy, clean. Very well presented and lovely to arrive to a heat pump on! There were only two towels, no face cloths and no bath mat.
I tried to contact someone as the internet on the internet house book was different to what was on the wall.. all a little confusing.
The bed was incredibly nosy, old and very firm and uncomfortable

- Kathy (4/5): - Clean unit Bed was rock hard and very noisy
Could hear people i. Next unit sneeze. No privacy
Shower pressure terrible
Had to get staff to come twice to set tv to English.
Complementary bathroom products only has ingredients in Chinese. No good for allergy detection
Parking on pad was limited to 2 cars
View was right into next unit - no privacy
Description on some web sites advised it was a hotel and that is what I thought I was booking.
No information in room on local attractions or menus for eateries.
Only towels and no flannels.
No discount for 3 night stay
Will not book again
- Rivera (8/5): Overall good stay - Proximity, centralized Bed was uncomfortable and made too much noise.
- Sang (10/5): -
- Nikola Josip (4/5): 4/10 lovely spot and stay , disappointed with hear your neighbours as the walls are very thin and tv was not up to s - Nice and new, very clean apart from shower The walls are paper thin and you can hear people next door while you are trying to get to sleep, the tv was all in Chinese and you could not watch tv.
- MIN-YEN (9/5): -
- Chris (8/5): Location was not what we expected. It was in a development and the view was of the back of another building. - It’s was clean and well kept. Location was not what we expected. Had to park on the street.
- HERVE (5/5): - Clean and practical Poor noise insulation : you can hear voices from neighbors as well as washing machine late evening
- Xinhui (9/5): - Easy self check-in and check-out. The room is spacious and well equipped with everything you might need. It’s on the edge of town, which is fine if you have a car. There are no views, suitable if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room while traveling.
- Shay (10/5): - Everything

- Sonya (8/5): Lovely Lake Tekapo - Great location, modern clean room.
- Pamela (6/5): Poorly designed room with strange bathroom features. Crazy big TV. - I liked the ease of entry. The size of TV was excessive overkill. The beanbag chair was useless. The room felt like it was more business traveler than holiday. Our patio door was open at check in. Didn’t like the 2 single beds pushed together with a plastic sheet under the bedding.

- Megan (5/5): Good for quick stop over - Location was good, nice big TV You can hear the neighbours walking around.
- Chaznel (7/5): Comfortable stay, just not a fan of electric door locks - Great location and the bed was comfortable The door didn’t lock properly the one day so when I got back my apartment door was slightly open. Thankfully nothing missing/stolen but that seems to have coincided with the beeping of the door showing it had a low battery.
- Robert (8/5): - Well appointed and close to town. Parking spaces limited, unless happy to park on the street.
It's a pity that they crammed so many units in right next to each other. And not afford a good view of the sky
View from room was the wall and windows of adjacent units.
- Ester (9/5): -
- catherine (4/5): Served its purpose - The drone of the electric charge from the unnecessary neon light all night long . No sleep.
- Shauna (8/5): -
- Liam (8/5): Great little unit. Thanks again. - Spacious newly renovated unit. Everything was clean. Easy check-in process. 3-4 minute drive from the town centre / lake Location is in a developing area. Plenty of similar holiday units around which make it quite busy. 4 units in this particular block, and you can hear the plumbing/noise from others sometimes.
- Emily (7/5): -
- Watson (7/5): Suited our needs - Beautifully clean and modern. Extremely quiet location. Shared off road parking. Easy check in process. And daily room servicing if required. Had issues in the bathroom with shower drain being blocked and a strong burning/smoky smell in bathroom. Staff were very prompt in sorting drain, but unable to remedy the smell which we could thankfully confine to the bathroom. Bed was a bit hard for our liking.
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Kirsty (8/5): Great stay thankyou - Nice room, cozy and warm, everything we needed The bed was a bit hard, and was 2 single beds pushed together
- David (10/5): Speechless before this magical place — made even more magical by the snow. -
- Emma-lee (10/5): -
- Kyle (8/5): Otherwise excellent - Great location and comfortable stay with good facilities. The only thing I would suggest is that the main picture in this is a bit deceptive as the unit is not stand alone, you are surrounded by other units front and back.
- Brian (7/5): All good but Bed sucks - Location and facilities were great The Bed is terrible, it's like sleeping on the floor ,it's rock hard
- Colleen (6/5): A great spot, just a few small and easy improvements would make this spot a winner! - First impressions were great, a spacious apartment with a handy kitchenette. Easy self checkin process and lots of parking. There were tar stains on the carpet, dirt and dust on the ground and skirting, with obvious mould in the bathrooms. The duvet cover was stained and did not cover the edges of the bed, as it was too small to fit the two singles that were pushed together.
- Gabriella (9/5): Amazing stay, absolutely loved it - Fantastic stay. I love how it was slightly isolated from the town centre. Seamless self check in process. Huge tv. The beds were comfy and it was the perfect size room to stay cosy. The only thing I’d say is it would be great to have sky sport for free on the tv because we wanted to watch a major sporting game at night and none of the places in town were open late enough to stream it, so we had to pay a fair bit to watch it on tv. A few other places we stayed at did offer it for free. Otherwise, no complaints!
- C (10/5): Amazing - Kitchen and bedroom
- Lukasz (8/5): Spacious, comfortable room with great amenities - The room was large and spacious, with a rather firm but surprisingly comfortable bed. The kitchenette was well equipped – it had a microwave, toaster, coffee machine, and a supply of coffee, tea, and sugar. The bathroom was clean and roomy, with a heated toilet seat – a definite plus. Guests also have access to a washer and dryer in the hallway. However, for a stay of several days for two people, we received only one small bottle of shampoo and shower gel. While staff do knock on the door every morning to ask what needs to be restocked – and they bring requested items (toilet paper, towels, toiletries, coffee, etc.) within minutes – this system isn’t ideal. It can be inconvenient if you want to leave early for a trip or sleep in after a night under the stars.
- Ivy (8/5): Pretty cute! - The room was clean.
The check in was easy.
They had a washer & dryer which was easy to use.
Beds were very comfy.
The interior design is beautiful. Didn't provide face towel.
You might not realise from the photos but there are other several buildings nearby so I wouldn't say you get great views.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Desirée (7/5): Good -
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Facilities were immaculate
- Nikki (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (6/5): Semi comfortable but a bit misleading - The room was spacious and had good facilities. The bed was comfortable enough although it is just two singles pushed together. The photos online are quite misleading as the property is wedged on all sides by other buildings, and the big glass doors open right onto a shared patio in the view of the other buildings. The bedding felt very thin and was not warm at all. We also found a hair in the bed sheets and in the bathroom upon arrival.
We also were at the property in the day and cleaning crews came for another room. They left their shoes all over the patio, left the door to the room they were cleaning open and blasted music / were yelling and laughing so loud that we were woken up. The walls here are extremely thin so you could hear everything from other rooms.
- Katherine (9/5): Superb - Great views, modern space. Loved the heated toilet and hairdryer and big screen today. The washing machine did not work well.
- Jesper (8/5): High standard - High quality and standard of the room The kitchen is surprisingly not well equipped with cooking utencils. Neighbor is just 4-5 meters away from the terrasse, they could see everything in the apartment. Parking space was tiny, but parking on road is fine
- Jonathan (8/5): Otherwise nise room huge TV - nice set up. - Bed had a plastic liner which I find isn't that comfortable
- Marischka (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Olivia (8/5): Very good -
- Usha (7/5): Good -
- Valerie (9/5): Good - Modern facilities.
- Kaye (5/5): Passable - Big tv screen, beds, toilet Kitchen facilities lacking..Blunt knives, no tongs. Microwave unable to cope with a normal meal
- Cynthia (1/5): Extremely disappointing - I didn’t like the property because it was nothing like the marketing photo as shown below. The staff was very helpful but it’s been a struggle connecting with bookings.com. It was wedged between 2 buildings and smelled terrible. There was construction on one side and I was facing a building with gas tanks on the other. The photo of the property was very misleading as shown below. The contact was great and understood my discomfort and said that I could cancel and get a full refund but there was no other accommodation in Lake Tekapo so I stayed the night and left the next day. The staff was easy to reach and helpful.
- Michelle (7/5): The room was lovely and spacious, and clearly brand new, within easy distance to the local shops and restaurants. - Lovely spacious room. The walls were so thin you could hear everything and I mean everything from the room next door.
Patio doors were massive but overlooked all of the accommodation next door, they are quite close, you feel like you can touch them, it’s like being in a goldfish bowl.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Hock (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sadya (9/5): Superb - Location was excellent. Only a few minutes away from the city centre.
- Amani (10/5): Exceptional - A lot of light would come through the front door and not very sound proof.
- Kushal (9/5): Superb -
- Bhandari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Silvia (8/5): Very good -
- Nikul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (7/5): Good - Door code
Clean
Comfortable Thin walls so could hear other rooms TVs
Very hard, uncomfortable bed
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional - The facilities were great and everything was new and updated! Was in a fantastic location with plenty of parking and even a few lovely short walks nearby. They even left us a box of chocolates as we were staying there Christmas Day! Was a very sweet and thoughtful touch!
- Elise (8/5): Beautiful space to stay, easy walk into the main town, very clean and fresh! - Location, space & decking Driveway with rental cars close together worried of it getting hit
- Avner (5/5): Nice place but not worth the price. - It looks like the place was built with high standards in mind. - The bed sounded like it was about to break.
- You could hear anything going on in the other rooms.
- There were no coffee capsules when we arrived.
- The carpet was stained.
- There is a construction site next door.
- Lisa (9/5): Great place to stay, clean and tidy - Great location and easy to get into property No lines for parking so another person staying parked so no one else could use the carpark
No face cloths either
- Tanya (9/5): Comfortable cabin feel with a modern vibe. - Many thoughtful touches to help make our stay pleasant and comfortable.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (8/5): Very good - Excellent location, good facilities and comfy bed There was a strange smell in the bathroom
- April (8/5): Very good - Location in lake Tekepo, modern amenities. Parking!
- Anna (10/5): Stylish Room - Over our 12-day trip on the South Island, this was my friend's favorite place to stay. We believe the owners are Chinese, as they provided slippers and toothbrush sets for guests. The room has a very stylish design, and the large smart TV was a great bonus—we really enjoyed watching movies at night. There are about four rooms connected, sharing the back patio. It could get very noisy if other guests are having a party. We were lucky there was no party during our stay.
- Karla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Relaxing and only a short walk to town. - The unit was very new and modern, the kitchen was a lot better than I expected it to be. The automatic flushing toilet, it was Ok until the morning we were getting ready to leave, it started flushing on its own and wouldn't stop, we had to switch it off at the wall, but the bathroom did get flooded.
- Judy (9/5): Superb -
- Carol (6/5): Unit was amazing. Sleep not so much. - All was OK. We had to walk around neighborhood to find out how to get in. Found a cleaner who helped us. Unit was perfect however they need to decide what market they want to service. It appears that back packers or itinerant workers stay there and come and go during the night. Very little soundproofing between walls . Not a very good sleep. Needs more soundproofing.
- Laurelle (8/5): Very good - The smart TV and the beds were comfy, the kitchenette was convenient The shower needs a shelf to hold products.
- Anu (10/5): Exceptional - Squeaky clean room with brand new fittings. Easy to communicate.
- Sylvie (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (9/5): A touch of luxury in Tekapo. - Very well appointed unit with high quality furnishings, and a good bathroom (with heated toilet seat). A good place to stay on our journey south. The unit is set back on the hill so the area is quiet and we loved the amazing view of the stars. It is only a few minutes drive down to the main shopping/restaurant area. The walls are thin and the tv and loud conversation noise from the neighbouring units detracted from our rest. Also, the next door house is much closer than we realised as it was built after the photo in the ad.
- Mabel (9/5): Superb -
- Brigitte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siddhartha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chiam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional - Great amount of space, comfortable rooms, and great bathroom. Slightly Noisey better soundproofing would be lovely.
- Kelleher (6/5): Good but not great - The decor & imenities.. The bed was very hard and uncomfotable
