• Bradley (9/5): Great Cozy Cottage So Close to the Gulf Beach - Quaint and cozy cottage only two blocks from the Gulf. Complete with a private pool and garage. Nicely decorated and well maintained. Even had an extra refrigerator which was great for just beverages. Only comment was a lack of additional garbage bags on site. There was one in each trash can but no replacements. Four days and 5 people max’ed it out.

• Sarah (1/5): BEWARE BEWARE DO NOT STAY HERE - BEWARE BEWARE.. HORRIBLE DO NOT STAY HERE !!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PROPERTY OWNER !!! From day one we had issues, microwave did not work. Refrigerator did not COOL and to top it off the toilet, backed up into the bathtub. When I called the property owner and informed him about the situation, we agreed that we would have to leave early because of the severity of the situation..he agreed that he would refund half the money. It's been almost 2 months, and he has not returned. My call, or have I seen any of my refund I even have videos of the whole thing, but it would not let me upload
• G (1/5): Worst place to stay! Run far away! - We booked this property for a 3-day stay but were so horrified by the conditions that we packed up and left within 6 hours of arriving. We did not stay a single night. This was hands down the most disturbing and disappointing rental experience we’ve ever had. As soon as we pulled up, we noticed an extremely run-down home directly next door with an “FBI Property” sign on the door, a red flag that immediately made us feel unsafe. Walking into the rental, we were hit with a strong smell of mold and must. The home was visibly dirty. The floors had crumbs, dust, and debris, and it was clear no one had properly cleaned or prepared the space for guests. There were no paper towels, the bathrooms were not stocked, and things only got worse from there. We soon discovered that the main refrigerator was not working at all. We had just purchased over $300 worth of groceries for the weekend, only to find the temperature inside the fridge was 67–68 degrees which is totally unsafe to store food. The second fridge (which was oddly placed and not disclosed ahead of time) appeared to be a last-minute fix for the broken one, but was too small to fit everything we needed. The pool was green, and foul-smelling. Our kids were so excited to swim, so we tried to overlook it but after about 30 minutes, the odor was unbearable, and the water clearly wasn’t safe. Then the plumbing issues started. One child used the shower and it immediately backed up with sand, despite the fact that we hadn’t even been to the beach yet. When we tried to use the toilet, it wouldn’t flush and began leaking from the base, leaving puddles on the floor. At that point, we reached out to the host and demanded a refund. The host responded by instructing us to leave and said the refund would be processed within 10–14 days. As we were packing up to leave, the host actually showed up at the property unannounced and began yelling and cussing at us in front of our children who were terrified and crying. Complete trash and not maintained. Pool was green, toilet flooding, bathtub backing up with sand, BOTH refrigerators not working, bugs in the stove, washer machine filled with mold and AC wouldn’t lower past 76.

Our electricity went off around 1:30 am, the owner was out if the country, we was able to get ahold of him and power was restored by 6 am. The beds were not comfy, but the pool made up for it.

• Julia (1/5): Do not book this house!! - I never got to see the property. The property manager cancelled my reservation less than 24 hours notice, didn’t return my calls, and never removed my booking from the app. So I’m still receiving notifications. I haven’t seen my money yet either. Do not book this one!! Incredibly unprofessional. Wish I’d been able to see it.

• Doyle (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoyed the private pool and the floats and games provided. It is such a quick walk to the beach from the bungalow. It was a comfortable and cozy stay! My family has been to Galveston multiple times, and this was our favorite rental so far. Not a lot of household supplies such paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry soap. The outside of the facility looks a little worn. But it is a nice surprise inside.

• Zoe (7/5): Not worth the price in my opinion. I feel as if you can justify the price if the pool was kept up with. You’re paying fo - Location is nice, close to seawall. Plumbing issues. If you plan on cooking - we did not because of this… the sink in the kitchen didn’t drain very quickly and the disposal did not work. Food backed up into the sink from a previous renter. The shower did not drain very fast either. Had to shower standing in about 2-3 inches of water. Pool: tbh we booked the proper because of the pool. There was a big storm that came through about a week before our stay and you can tell the pool hadn’t been treated at all or well… all of my guests complained of their skin being dry and itchy the next day. No smell of chlorine at all.
