Guest Reviews
- Meg (10/5): Perfect - Lovely place to stay for a long weekend…though the cottage had everything to enable a longer stay. Had everything we needed and more! Really lovely hosts who were easily contactable if needed. Lots of thoughtful extras including fans in each bedroom in the extreme heat and a birthday card! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

- Anna (9/5): - The cottage is very spacious, nicely decorated and quirky. Loved watching the birds over the window. We were there in November, so didn't really use the terrace but would be fantastic with a good weather. If the terrace would have any kind of shelter, bo be able to sit outside even in worse weather. When it was not raining the outdoor furniture were wet.
- M (10/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Lovely area great scenery. Nothing too much trouble from our hosts - Welcome from the owners providing thoughtful extras like bread, milk etc. The tv was complicated for us to use. The power kept tripping out.
Couldn’t find fuse box at first and outside bin.
- Robert (9/5): -
- Heather (10/5): Fabulous - The property is absolutely beautiful and so spacious! Very generous goodies provided by the hosts. The bird feeder was a revelation, we just don't see the broad variety of birds seen here, in the suburbs of Derby city centre. Very peaceful location. Was a bit further to the local pub than I realised but that was my error. We got a taxi to the pub on Sunday evening, to participate in the quiz and the landlord organised a lift home for us, with locals! Lovely friendly people!
- Julie (10/5): First class - Beautiful property extremely well equipped and perfect for a relaxing trip, everything you could need in a home is there and a few little nice extras too, highly recommend Nothing
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Aaron (10/5): - The hosts were so welcoming, providing many things to make the stay as simple as possible. It is the little things that add up like providing milk. Thank you very much for an amazing stay.
- Barbara (9/5): -
- Donna (10/5): - Beautiful accommodation. The owners were lovely and very helpful. They have thought of everything. The property is stunning and has everything you need. Even down to the tea, coffee, milk etc....
Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back. Can not think of anything, except maybe some mirrors in the front 2 bedrooms.
- Susan (8/5): Fine (except for bathroom) - Pretty location Only bathroom was downstairs
- Elise (10/5): - The house was beautiful, so much bigger than it appears on the pictures. The host left us some lovely things for breakfast and the cottage was immaculate. Would highly recommend!
- Scott (10/5): We had a fantastic two-night family stay, enjoying its charm, comfort and atmosphere. - The location was quiet – which suits us perfectly – and centrally positioned for everything we had planned for our short family break. The cottage itself was cosy and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after a day out. We especially appreciated the homely touches, comfortable beds, and the peaceful surroundings that made our stay feel truly restful.

- Alan (10/5): Beautiful cottage - Beautiful cottage set in countryside. We used it as a base for Alton Towers and it was so lovely to come back in the afternoon to relax. We cooked dinner each night and sat outside as the weather was kind. Kitchen facilities were excellent and beds were comfy.

- Rachel (10/5): Fantastic place - They had provided every possible thing you could need even for those like me that love to cook! The cottage was actually even better than the photos expecially the upstairs and the beds were expecially comfy. Black out curtains in the bedrooms would have been nice and hand rail on stairs for kids
- Sue (9/5): excellent, perfect for what we needed - clean, high standard of fittings and facilities, enclosed garden, excellent for dogs, the parking was not ideal for long vehicles or more than one
cell coverage for vodafone was not ideal (not a cottage problem)
- Claire (9/5): Superb - It was a beautifully presented cottage in the Derbyshire countryside with large very comfortable beds.
- Maria (10/5): Beautiful! Will definitely come back! - Nice and quiet location. Very well equipped with absolutely everything one might need. The barbecue a big plus. And the horses at the back of the garden a delight for the children!
