Guest Reviews
- Dominic (10/5): Chris was super helpful and very quick to respond to messages. The place was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Th - Clean with a comfy bed with everything I needed. Nothing - everything was super

- Leigh (10/5): A great find - would definitely recommend - Really liked this place. The top reason I chose it over other local offerings was the 11am checkout - much better than the usual 10am! And the decor was very nice, plus very convenient for the train station. There were lots of great details about the place - decent quality bedding, a wee magnifying mirror to do make up, a big comfy bed, proper milk, coffee and tea bags provided so you could make a hot drink when you arrived rather than having to hunt for a shop, quiet and dark for sleeping (blinds and curtains), and a friendly host who messaged me on the day to offer an early check in which was much appreciated! Would happily recommend and stay again. Nothing.

- Jo (8/5): Great value for money, would definitely recommend and would stay again - Really cosy room, very comfortable bed, hotel standard bed linen and towels. In fact the photos probably don’t do it justice, it’s nicer in reality. great location too.
- Jonathan (9/5): Luxury bolthole - An imaginative basement conversion with top class finish all round, the Hideaway was well equipped, warm, and very comfortable. Fresh milk was provided with the tea and coffee.
The TV was up to date, and the shower was lovely. Guests need to know that it's a steep walk up from the station. I was glad I came by taxi.
There is a cupboard full of crockery but no kitchen facilities, which I thought a bit odd.
- Jo-anne (9/5): Was absolutely perfect for me. I was visiting friends who are 5 mins away but couldn’t stay with them because of cats (I - Perfect for a weekend stay to explore St Leonards. The wardrobe area had a slight damp smell.
- Lisette (10/5): A lovely cosy spot I would love to visit again. - the space was a quiet little nook with just the perfect amount of space for a solo traveller. I loved how central it was and easy it was to get to the train.
the flat was clean, nicely styled and perfect for my needs. my only caveat; no microwave or toaster to warm food that would've been a great help but no other issues.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Sara (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (9/5): Cosy and good location - Quiet but also close to the train station
- David (10/5): Great getaway - Central to town, train station and beach.
Comfortable bed, excellent shower.
Great communication.

- Stephanie (10/5): Welcoming, cosy, spotless and warm. Lovely find for a winter’s night or two. -
- Ina (10/5): Exceptional - Apartment very well furnished and lovely decor. Spotless inside with good coffee! The shower was excellent. Check in went smooth. I never met my hosts as I used a lock box late at night. I would book again. My room also had a desk.
- Barney (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (9/5): Great value with personal touches. - Great location to town, easy to park,
Own front door and exactly like the pictures.
Loved the little touches with Amazon prime, pint of milk in fridge, ice in freezer. Some bits needed extra care with cleaning.
- Andrew (10/5): Great host and even better accommodation - This property is a lovely clean place to stay with modern decor and was in a great location with a short walk from St Leonard’s & Hastings Town. Host was an amazing help and I would highly recommend staying here. No negatives about this property.
- Vai (10/5): Loved it, central to Hastings. A good position and ample street parking. - Bed and pillows very comfortable. The shower was a dream and hot. Fresh milk available in the fridge, not little pods, and tea making facilities provided. Lots of little thoughtful things abounded. I was quite taken by the fact that a little magnifiying make-up mirror was provided . A lot of thought has gone into providing a Traveller's Rest for the night. We have travelled extensively over the years and whilst hotels are comfortable and much the same, I found the extra mileage here at Cosy Central pipped the post. Just a small rail to hang a couple of shirts etc would be good.
- George (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable stay in a great location! Nothing
- Ange (10/5): brilliant - great location very comfty bed the shower was amazing nothing the TV was a slight challenge but we worked it out
- Shakiera (9/5): I would recommend a stay, it was welcoming, comfortable and I had direct contact with the hosts. - I liked it felt like a haven and I could control the heating! The bed was cosy and comfortable, and the milk, water and hot beverages were a super nice touch. I thought it was great there was a pen and plain papers which kept my five year old entertained as I did not bring any. I believe he left several drawings to keep our hosts amused. The TV was unwatchable. It was freezing and would not play sound. I tried logging into my own NETFLIX account too and it did the same. I would have contacted Chris and Rosie but we stayed one night and got back in at 11pm. I tried again in the morning before check out but still to no avail.
- Tara (9/5): A wonderful cosy retreat perfect for a couple! - The room was perfect, with luxury finishes and perfect location to town to the seafront.
The contact made with the host was great, and they left all the relevant information on a one-sided sheet... thank you!
In the room was a large TV, generous sized bed with lovely linen - we slept beautifully.
The coffee machine and all of the added extras; biscuits, milk, and a range of hot drinks were a great bonus.
Thank you. Nothing!
- Yvonne (9/5): Private, comfortable, loved it! - Just what I wanted: quiet and private all to myself.
I had complete control of the heating via a thermostat; a little window I could have open or closed; daylight plus plenty of lighting options; a lovely roomy shower, a nice little drink-making area with fridge and ice compartment, a big wonderfully comfortable bed, and my own key and a key safe so I could come and go as I chose. The accommodation is in the basement with its own entrance, down some steps from the pavement; landlords Christopher and Rosie live in the house above and were easy to contact by mobile phone when I couldn't work out how to turn the shower off. I asked them via the Booking.com app for a recommendation for where to go for fish and chips and it was delicious. However, unless you need them, they leave you to it, you even let yourself in using the key from the key safe. Considering the high standard of fittings, I was a little surprised that the 'closet' for hanging clothes was built into a corner of the room; it seemed quite cold inside the closet (beginning of May), so I just left its door open. I hung my dry-robe on the tall radiator. Take your slippers, as the unusual floor-covering feels rather lumpy on stockinged feet. The steps down from the pavement would not suit anyone with mobility difficulties. I had my car parked right outside on the street most of the time, but there's a two-hour window every weekday 11am - 1pm when you can't park there, however parking is unrestricted 50m up the road on De Cham Road and it wasn't all parked up. The property is a short-ish walk from the sea front (go over the bridge at the railway station), coming back is uphill!
- Terrianne (10/5): Perfect seaside getaway - It was the perfect location - a 10 minute walk from the beach, lovely and quiet. The room was clean and beautifully presented. Actually a blessing in disguise but the phone signal was almost non existent while in the room. So meant I took a break from scrolling my phone.
- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing facilities! The location is really good, right next to the station. The bed was so comfortable and everything was very clean Carpet wasn’t very nice, it hurt to walk on without shoes.
- Des (9/5): Comfortable studio well placed to explore Hastings - The walk in shower was great, with good sources of convenient and ambient lighting provided throughout the studio. Everything considered it is difficult to fault.
- Debbie (10/5): we will be returning for definite!! - everything!! private safe warm separate entrance and super clean!! parking was tight but it was free!!
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
