Guest Reviews
- Michelle (8/5): Lovely apartment, would stay there again - The apartment was located right in the centre of York, spacious, clean and really well equipped. Really good communications from York Stays, good info pack in the apartment and sent to us before we arrived. Because it is so central, it was really noisy, with people talking and shouting until about 3:30am. Ear plugs on the second nights solved the problem

- Denise (4/5): Overall disappointing, would not stay here again. - Central location, heating, hot water Single glazed drafty sash window meant any street noise, from passers by and vehicle’s etc could be heard as clearly as if in the rooms, sleep was v difficult. The place is also tired for the high price and in need of some tlc and thorough clean, lots of cobwebs and dust. Mouldy mastic in bathroom, lack of anywhere to put anything. Missing kick board in kitchen. Sofa v uncomfortable. Back bedroom floor means the bed is not level, sleeping with head lower than feet is uncomfortable.
- Teresa (8/5): - Lovely location. Apartment was comfortable, clean and had all necessary facilities and utensils. Perfect to enjoy the City of York. N/A
- Alina (10/5): - Sehr zentral gelegen, sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Gute Ausstattung, schönes Bad. Nichts, alles perfekt.
- Erika (9/5): Barátságos apartman a folyó partján. - Tágas, barátságos, kényelmes apartman. Kíváló elhelyezkedés, sétatávolságra minden. Ágy nyikorgott.
- Robert (8/5): A wonderful mix of class and period, in the centre of York - We loved the feeling of the property, it felt for a family of four like a lovely little home away from home. Being right up against the river was novelty and literally stepping out of the property onto the centre of York was such a plus. Really nice decor throughout and a place I would recommend to others. As it is a period property, there are of course going to be irregularities and the only one that caught us off guard was the second bedroom has an uneven floor. Which I could imagine for older visitors would feel a little funny but in no way a problem, but perhaps worth noting here. The TV signal which was indeed highlighted as irregular with us, did indeed impact when wanting to watch. And only if you’re sensitive to it, Road noise and voices can be heard through the single pain Glass at night time but this did not bother us.
- Lori (9/5): We'll be back! - Location! Location! Location! Comfortable beds, more than sufficient amenities, lots of light, nice to be on first floor, temperature control capabilities...We'll be back! Might be a bit noisy for some: single-pane windows allow for street sounds (which I personally didn't mind because it died down).
- Ruth (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): The location was incredible and the apartment was light filled, clean, beautifully decorated and well laid out. The room - The location was incredible and the apartment was light filled, clean, beautifully decorated and well laid out. The rooms were really spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. Communication leading into our stay was really good. Thank you!!!!
- Simon (4/5): Not as described - The apartment was clean and was well furnished with the overall look being trendy, fresh and up to date. Staysyork the letting agency acted promptly to make the necessary repairs we reported. Key collection details were thorough and location was handy for shops and attractions. M&S was at the bottom of the road maybe a 5 minute walk. We didn’t like that the bio neglected to mention a step up to the kitchen (found out about the step after my Auntie tripped on it as we entered the flat, she was left with a cut to her arm and very bruised ankle and knee) or that the flat had wonky floors. This was owing to the age of the building but very uncomfortable to walk on. Left you feeling sea sick. The bedroom leading from the kitchen was worse with a very noticeable gradient. The bed did not accommodate for this so you’re sleeping with your head below your feet, this left me feeling very heady in the mornings so I ended up sleeping width ways across the bed for 4 of the 7 nights. The beds are very low to the ground which maybe a problem for some getting up again as there is nothing to hold on to. The bathroom lacked decent shelving which isn’t an issue if you’re staying a weekend but when you’ve booked a week you definitely want to get your toiletries out and place them in the bathroom. Also quite noisy owing to a pub close by, woke a few times even mid week at 2-3am.
