- 昭辰 (2/5): 非常糟糕，不推薦訂房 - 房間寬敞 女性浴池太誇張，所有窗戶都是透明的、浴池拉簾也是壞的，隔壁房子、大樓的人可以看的一清二楚！ 從一樓就可以看到四樓浴場的透明玻璃，對面的高樓ㄧ定看的更清楚，非常糟糕、非常不尊重！一進去馬上就出來了，很可怕。不相信業主自己不知道這件事。 接待處（古蹟）和新建的房間都非常破舊，與網路圖片不符。入口處地板磁磚破裂，只用木板稍微擋一下。輕隔間房間壁貼都脫落了，甚至有發霉狀況。非常不推薦訂購此飯店。 住宿蓋在路非常小的山坡上，雨天非常危險。司機也很我們說雨天不可能有車上得來，旅客需要自己拉行李爬山。

- Gregory (8/5): We should have stayed longer. - We loved that it preserved one of the heritage buildings and incorporated it with a modern hotel building. Wonderful historic home from the 1920’s in a central location overlooking the old canal and warehouse districts. Spacious well appointed hotel rooms and nice breakfast combining local and international dishes. Outdoor garden and parking areas need upgrading and some attention.

- Fabio (10/5): - Wow! What a surprise! This is probably the best hotel I have been in Hokkaido! Everything is so beautiful about this hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern but at the same time have a nice Japanese touch. The baths are a nice additions considering it is usually quite cold here :) Also what I really appreciated is that I arrived at 2pm, and despite the check in being for 3pm, they let me in to the room. It seems to me that in Japan they are quite “rigid” about this, and even if the room is available they make you wait until the check in time. So, as said, big plus also here! Ah, and last but not least, this hotel is very cheap compared to what it offers. So big thumbs up! 👍🏼
- Bohye (10/5): - 일단 객실이 아~~주 넓어요. 일본에서 이렇게 넓은 숙소를 이용해 본적이 없어서 너무 좋은데 아늑한 분위기에 오타루 시내가 한눈에 내려다보이는 풍경도 너무 좋았어요. 게다가 엄청 깨끗하고 프라이빗해요. 저녁으로 스프카레를 먹었는데 스프카레보다는 그냥 일본식카레에 가깝더라고요. 그래도 엄청 맛있었고 와인도 서비스로 주셔서 넘 좋았어요. 조식은 뷔페스타일인데 깔끔하게 잘 나와서 여행 마지막 식사가 이 숙소 조식이었는데 대만족하고 체크아웃했네요. 삿포로에 간다면 굳이 삿포로인근에서 숙박하지 않고 같은 가격에 여기 숙소와서 이용할 것 같아요. 진심 너무 좋았습니다. 그런데 너무 프라이빗해서 대욕장에서 혼자 목욕을 할수있는건 좋은데 너무 사람이 없으니 좀 무서웠어요.

- Berit Guttorm (9/5): Great hotel, would definitely stay again! - We loved this place! Charming building with a great onsen and very friendly staff. It’s mega clean everywhere and the rooms are very spacious (which is rare for Japan). The breakfast is a buffet of amazing Japanese dishes and some western alternatives for the non-adventurous eater. The one deducted point for a 10/10 score is that breakfast starts way too late (08:00) The only negative thing is that the amazing breakfast starts too late.

- Kristen (7/5): - Staff: Staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. Room: The room was massive. A lot of space. The bed was comfortable. We had a view of Otaru and the port from our room. Location: There was a shortcut accessible from the hotel to the Canals which was great for sightseeing. Food: They were able to swap our breakfast for dinner when we advised we couldn't have breakfast but had to book it because they only prepare per guest request. Location: Location was quite a bit out of the way from the train station. About a 10min walk from a bus stop and 15min for train. Quite a hike to get there especially during winter, a lot of up and downhills which was hard when it was snowing or the road was icy. Hotel: The place has an unusual design. Old ryokan entrance with a more modern walkway into the rooms. Shared slippers on entry was a negative, due to hygiene issues. I've seen staff just rearrange it without disinfecting it after use and another guess will put it on. Bathroom: The room looked a bit unfinished. Some panels were loose. The bathroom had unfinished paint jobs and there were tools left lying around. The blinds in the bathroom were twisted around which was very inconvenient as even when it was closed we were worried we were visible outside when using the shower as the window was right next to the shower, and the window overlooks the parking and entrance of the hotel. The toilet was separate from the bathroom which was great but toilet did not have soap provided so still had to go to the bathroom to wash hands. Living area. A writing desk was in the room but no chair for it, plenty of couches though. Strong smell of gas due to the gas heater. It was great for keeping us warm but the fumes made us very light-headed. Food: Food was provided but it was a bare minimum offering. They served 5-7 pieces of steamed/boiled vegetables on the buffet table and [had it paired with some clear or curry soup], which very quickly ran out and had to be constantly replenished. The variety was very limited. Not very close to any convenience store or restaurants and extremely hard to access especially when its snowing.

Kaum Parkplätze Frühstück sehr spät: erst am 8h00. Wenn man dort nächtigt, weil man in der Region (Kokusai oder Kiroro) skifahren möchte, dann ist das einfach zu spät!

- JINGXUAN (8/5): Great location & spacious room in a renewed historical building, but onsen is just so so and dinner is disappointing - A modern spacious dedicated hotel stay based on a real historical building locating over the hill in the center of Otaru. Room: Super spacious at a very fine rate. The wood-themed interior is really new, refined and full of design details which beyond my expectations. There’s a French window corner which gives me a great view angle of the town and the ocean. I also have a historical desk placed in my room. Heater works really well too. However, there is no desk but only coffee table for me to use in such a huge space, that’s a pity, otherwise I’ll definitely give 5 stars especially because of this valuable price. Hallway: Cold in the winter, which is not good… Onsen: small but clean. There’s limited view. Open-air bath is super small with no view, nor opened; (photos were all taken while Onsen is closed) Dinner: good chicken soup curry but it’s a small meal. However, it’s cheap, so overall I like it. Breakfast: very good especially at this price. It feels special and home-like warm while eating the breakfast. Homemade beef stew is so tasty that the sauce was so balanced with mixed flavors. Croissant is super crispy with extremely light layers texture. I wish the milk drink’s quality could be better to match the food. Hallway is a bit cold, onsen has no interesting view at all. Dinner is just simple soup curry which is a bit disappointing

- Yifei (7/5): I’m sure we would have had a much better experience if it weren’t for the heavy snow - The bath was nice and the room is sufficiently roomy. We struggled with getting to the property. The property didn’t provide any help with travels or the snow. There was also a lot of ice all along the road to the hotel, and there was only one path to the hotel. We would have had a much better experience if it weren’t for the heavy snow, I’m sure. The breakfast was also a bit sparse.

- Melissa (10/5): Perfect winter retreat for myself and my younger child - Architecture, rooms, food, all wonderful. Very spacious for a Japanese hotel, impeccably clean, fireplace in the suite, so cozy! Large windows overlooking the snow, and the hill. Nice home cooked meals, attentive staff. Note: Mainly speaks Japanese, will need to use google translate. n/a
