Guest Reviews
- Johann (9/5): - Sehr schön Wunderbar
- Ceire O Reilly (10/5): Lovely cosy cottage - The house is just so lovely. In the middle of the countryside surrounded by fields of sheep. Karen was so lovely and met us on arrival. The house was spotlessly clean. We loved it.
- Niamh (8/5): - Nicely equipped house.
- Bernie (10/5): We were only here for a couple of nights but we’ll be coming back for certain. - It is finished to high standard, the kitchen is modern and spacious. The remainder maintains its cottage origins and has plenty of character.
The host greeted us warmly and was very friendly, all the equipment & facilities were clearly explained. If you give me long enough I might come up with something, but not right now.

- Jamie (9/5): A country getaway at great value - The place is in the middle of fields so you get a full country experience but also the quiet nature you wake up to. Was very clean and it felt very homely
- Anthony (9/5): Lovely relaxing stay - We loved the privacy of this property, Lovely renovated stone cottage (origanal house) with a new kitchen and Bathroom extention at the rear. everything at the propety you will ever need, Our Host (Karen) gave us a great welcome and a tour of the propety. Karen had no issue with our family pet. A great location for our visit to Carric on shannon area. We will return to Karens propety. Nothing to dislike,

- Dawn (10/5): Modern, cosy and beautiful stay - Hosts communication was excellent, super friendly and helpful. The house itself was beautiful and the added touches of having bits and peices ie. Coffee, tea, sugar, bread and butter was a lovely touch. Will definitely stay again when visiting family in the area. Everything was perfect!
- Kath (10/5): Beautiful place home from home we will be back ! - Great house spacious rooms
Modern finish Nothing
- Kim (9/5): Karen is a great host and takes care of her house and guests. - This cottage is ideal for relaxing, looking at sheep during the day and stars at night. No disturbing noise too. As typical for an old cottage like this it has very low doors. So if not careful (and sadly that happens) you may bang your head seriously. That being said we would go there again.
- Tracey (10/5): An idyllic haven - Loved the location, so peaceful and relaxing and so central to get to so many destinations in the region. It was perfect and dog friendly as well. Everything we needed was readily available in the cottage, Karen the owner had thought of everything and the place is just beautifully decorated and so refreshing looking out the front windows at the beautiful landscape across the way and the sunsets just amazing. Loved it,we all did and can't wait to book again in the near future. Couldn't fault a thing.
- Thomas (10/5): An mhaith 👌🏽 -
- Monika (9/5): We will definitely come back! - Almost everything. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Cottage felt warm and cosy, especially given that it’s an old building. Modernisation has been done well. Living room felt super snuggly. Location was perfect, but you will need a car. Lots of extras in the property to cover you if you’ve forgotten anything; lovely touches. Thank you. The shower wasn’t great; maybe replace the shower head for one that helps to improve water pressure? Fridge was small and past its best, needs replacing we think, especially given how nice the rest of the kitchen is.
- Laura (10/5): Beautiful cottage. Ideal as a base for those wanting to travel by car around the area. Ideal if self catering as everyth - Beautifully renovated cottage— nicer in reality than the photos. Large, spacious, comfortable and homely rooms very tastefully decorated. Spotlessly clean, dog friendly. Every possible need was catered for and then some. Although a beautiful location, it is pretty far from restaurants.
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Setting the shower temperature
- John (10/5): Exceptional - A fantastic cottage, nestled on a quiet lane way. The place is spotless, and it has everything you could need. Karen is a wonderful host! Cottage has been renovated to a lovely high standard, it has plenty of electric heaters & a wood burning stove, great for the cold evenings. Everything was great, no complaints whatsoever. Will be back again!
- Julie (10/5): Brilliant - Lovely and clean, lots of nice touches like cosy blankets, wood for the fire, games and bread and milk. Plenty of parking, quiet and within walking distance of a pub.
- Nicola (10/5): A calm, peaceful haven from which to explore the Wild Atlantic Way or simply relax and switch off. - The peace and tranquility of Teachiń milis Móinéir were second to none. Host Karen has thought of everything to make her guest's stay exceptional. We could not have asked for more. The cosy stove in the evenings (logs and fire log to start included) the welcome pack of bread, milk and butter, tea and coffee, bottled water in case you don't like the tap water (which is fine btw), toiletries in case you've forgotten your own. We wanted for nothing and being honest, were reluctant to leave this little haven!
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bryan (9/5): Comfortable, cozy & clean Cottage. Located in peaceful and quiet countryside. - Beautiful Cozy Little Cottage in the Heart of the Countryside. Very Comfortable and Exceptional Clean. Everything we needed was supplied. Cozy stove fire and clear starry nights. Host Karen was very helpful and friendly. The shower but was explained by Karen the issue with pressure.
- Niall (10/5): Exceptional -

- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Could not recommend this cottage enough! Super clean, lovely area, amazing host, all the supplies you need including fresh bread, milk and butter.
Very peaceful location if you want some quiet time in nature while being a short drive to Boyle and Carrick on Shannon for restaurants and bars.
We will be back! Everything was great.
- Schmidt (9/5): Superb - Owners provided us with some bread and milk for the first day. And the cottage is well equipped.
- Mark (10/5): Comfortable, clean and peaceful - Karen and Colm were very welcoming hosts. The property was very comfortable, spotlessly clean with lots of facilities. Bread, butter and milk were provided which was a nice touch. It was a very peaceful place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to others.
- Stephanie (10/5): If you want somewhere private and quiet to explore the countryside this is the place. - Karen was probably one of the best hosts that I have had since using Booking.com. We had to add someone else on to the booking, this was no problem, we had to change the dates of the booking this was also was no problem. Karen had asked what our requirements were for bread milk etc before we arrived which is a really thoughtful touch, overall I would recommend this stay to all of my friends/family. The house was spotlessly clean and fresh and beds were comfortable.
