- Roux (8/5): All in all it was very nice, could use more and bigger fans even an aircon - I loved the holiday feel of the apartment and also where ot was situated I feel the bathroom could be upgraded and I feel like they can put a single bed instead of the sleeper couch

Health and Safety risk - Unfortunately absolutely there is nothing to like about our unit at Mittford chalets. Our stay was terrible. The unit in its current condition is not suitable for renting out to anyone and especially not on any global accomodation app like booking.com. The unit gives the the Mittford complex, Morgenbay and booking.com a bad name. Our unit was a serious health risk, as well as a safety risk. A water leak in the main bedroom left unattended for months, caused the cubboard to rot, with the resulting mould growth making it impossible to breathe properly in the main bedroom. We had no choice but to move our mattress out into the lounge in order to get sleep. The second bedroom which faces a bussy eluminated corridor had no black out curtains, making it impossible for our daugters to sleep as well. The rusted security gate had no lock and all the bedroom windows, all facing the busy corridor which is used for access to other units had no security bars - so we could not open it at all. The unit faces and access are from the back road behind the Mittford apartment complex. The unit is furthermore located right above the kitchen area of the restaurant in the complex and we could clearly hear the constant talking of kitchen staff and extractor fans running until late in the evening and again early in the morning. The heat in the unit rwas also unbearable with just one fan provided. The kitchen "corner" of the unit was the bare minimum with only a single plug (no multiplug) available for the refrigerator, kettle en desktop oven. The oven tripped the the unit's electricity and was therefore unusable. The lights in the lounge were not working and the wash basin in the bathroom had no water. We complained to the agent (apparently only assisting the owner with renting of the unit for the December period) the day of arrival, who was appauled at the condition of the unit. She was very helpful and came the next day with her assistent but there was nothing she could do, except reporting the situation to the owner. We had to cut our holiday short as left for home early the next morning. We are requesting a full refund (R5400) for the unit which
was rented to us via booking.com at R1350 per day for four days, which is by no means cheap. We are also requesting bookong.

A l'arrivée est rentrée dans la pièce principale et nous a donné le code wifi (qui ne fonctionnait pas) avant de partir sans rien vérifier
Résultats impossible d'utiliser la salle de bain car pas d'eau
Quand à la vue, nulle, juste devant une barre de logement si près que nous pouvions presque ouvrir la porte du voisin en tendant la main par la fenêtre

- Wearytraveller (10/5): Comfortable room with all the facilities you need, lively bar and restaurant on site. - Lovely place to stay with the restaurant and bar right there with delicious food and a good atmosphere. I can't think of anything I did not like about Mitford Flats.
- B (2/5): Not great. - Description and photo's do not match room at all. I unnecessarily booked a second room because the property description on booking.com was completely inaccurate. Also room has no sea view, it is located at the back of the building, above the kitchens vent system. Expect to be woken early. Also no cell coverage and no Wifi either. Decor extremely basic and dated.
- Angus (4/5): If we ever go back there we will definitely make sure we don,t get to stay at the back of the build - No Seaview, no balcony with braai, the fotos we saw was not the place that they put us in, no 19 was at the back with no Seaview at all and there was a bag of charcoal but no braai

- Mike (1/5): Glad I was only staying for one night. - The unit had all the facilities required and was clean upon arrival Our unit (20) was above the kitchen of the restaurant below and had poor ventilation. Even with the fan provided it was uncomfortable and we found it difficult to sleep. This unit requires an air conditioner.
The unit allocated appeared different to the unit I had seen when making the reservation. I would not have booked this unit otherwise.

Extremely hot in flat. No ventilation in flat. Only one fan in sitting room. Very dark. Flat located behind the rest of the flats, right next to the restaurant extraxtive fan. Very noisy and oil smell of cooking. Will not recommend this place.
