Guest Reviews
- Tarisayi Nhamburo (4/5): - No didi not spend the night there, they had electricity challenges in the unit The road access to the place is challenge more during this rainy season, and the fact that they had electricity challenges to the unit which they were willing to provide a generator but this did not go down well with me.
- Aakifah (9/5): Great place - The cabin, the views, the rock pool. The generator wasn't working when the lights went out due to the storm.
- Philna (10/5): -
- Guest (9/5): Nothing short of amazing and beautiful so much peace in one place - The place is beautiful the view is un-explainable photos don't do the views justice. The room is private the staff is so friendly and helpful I will definitely recommend it.
- zilungile mnguni (7/5): - The host communicated so well with us. Checking in was a breeze and the location is so peaceful and the staff are helpful but also give you privacy. Certain items were missing in our room and when we requested them they were attended to so quickly.
I will be coming back to this amazing spot It could do with a bit more cleaning and updating of the linen. The rug collects hair so I think they should get rid of it.
And since you are surrounded by trees i think they could actually offer fire wood
- Vorster (5/5): Its ok but its for young people. - The view is spectaculat and the kitchen is very well equiped There is massive spiders. The toilet and shower is outside. The electricity conecting the lights flicker. They are busy renovating so there is some contruction noise
- Britz (10/5): -
- Clinton (9/5): Best stay for the price in harties - The fact that we were on a mountain top was amazing, had an amazing view and exceptional experience

- Guest (9/5): An excellent quiet serene getaway location. - The tranquility was outstanding. The views and location were just great. I loved how secluded and private my chalet (dragon fly) was and there were no disturbances i.e. stuff people walking around. The kitchenette was the cherry on top. It was equipped with all the basics and it looks gorgeous. Although I get the concept of the beautiful structure, my only issue was the outside downstairs toilet. It is okay during the day, however it was a challenge during the night. To have to unlock, exit, walk up and down the huge stairs in the middle of the night was not ideal. But perhaps it won't be an issue for others.
- Mallia (9/5): -
- Marietjie (6/5): - The view is absolutely spectacular. Will visit again in summer perhaps The outdoor shower and toilet is not ideal in the winter months .
- Johannes (10/5): -
- Ilmari (1/5): DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - The view was nice To put this in short we got there no door that closes the villa off this is a issue because your bathroom is downstairs and if anyone is walking around you have no door as we got there someone was working on the shower taps and came out as we arrived came down the stairs again while one of us was using the bathroom luckily we both went down so I could stop him.
Later the evening realized we didn't have warm water called someone came told us to wait so we did.
When it came to dinner time our power went out struggled for long for anyone to help us the kitchen is outside it was getting cold finally someone switched the power on but we couldn't do anything because of electricity fluctuating had disco lights couldn't cook couldn't shower couldn't get the room warm and it was really cold!!
It was supposed to be a romantic getaway and it turned out a disaster left around 7-8 had to drive 3 hours back home.
What an absolute waste of time and money it was embarrassing to say the least.
I demanded a refund and if I don't receive it willing to take it further.
- Lizelle (10/5): Hidden Gem - Absolutely stunning Nothing every single thing was perfect
- Donna-leigh (9/5): Superb -
- Jackie (7/5): Needs TLC - Location Bedding was substandard, electric blanket could not be used, 2 pillows was smelly and could not be used, needs TLC
- Nishal (10/5): Jumanji recommendation - The peace from the city. Cut off from the buzz is awesome Nothing much. It was fun
- Karen (8/5): Rest and Recharge - The seclusion and chalet was well equipped and fantastic. Did not meet any staff until I phoned to ask about the shower.
- Samantha (7/5): I would visit this property again as it is a great city escape - The venue was in the Redstone estate which was nice. The bedrooms and kitchen were clean and well-equipped. I did make use of the jacuzzi which was prepped and ready for my arrival which was nice. There was charcoal for the braai which was a nice touch. It was well located to the Barn venue where I attended a wedding which was great. The staff member who assisted me was friendly and provided clear instructions on getting to the property. The did allow for an early check in which was very much appreciated as I had to get ready for the wedding. Getting to the venue was abit difficult. I would have been concerned about the road if I had a low car as it is located on a dirt road. The rest of the property seems to be a working progress so the venue is untidy with building items. The signage was not very clear and was uncertain of where the actual accommodation was upon arrival. There were large spiders who had built webs on the lounge netting space so didnt go near that. The bathroom is semi outside and did have some spider webs at the basin and shower.
- Van (10/5): Exceptional -

- Lawrence (10/5): My romantic bush escape - It's a tranquility nest, I liked the location, the house layout. Like everything was in order. It has thee luxurious element. The bathroom has an outdoor feeling. Enjoyed the kitchen that flows out to the patio. The jacuzzi n the net was where we spent most of our stay. The garden was also owesome, we had a cosy picnic. The bed was very comfortable & the mosquito net came handy. Our host Ledel prepared a romantic snack n champagne for our arrival. The lighting outside is perfect, not too bright. The heat in the house. Will recommend a fan or aircon. Otherwise everything is perfect.
- Terina (9/5): Superb -
- Morgan-fey (8/5): Very good - Very quaint and pleasant stay! Ample firewood was provided and the lady who manages it was so lovely.
- De (8/5): Enjoyed our stay. Relaxed and quiet atmosphere. - Inside the bush

- Lucky (9/5): I enjoyed everything and will surely come back again with friends - It is so refreshing and adventurous. Everything is exceptional The road leading to the place needs some attention
- Gomolemo (10/5): Exquisite Place - I loved everything, the place is beautiful. It's exceptional. It has everything you'll need for a stay cation (excluding an iron) but it is beautiful. Pictures here don't do enough justice for the place. It's amazing The road going to the place is bad for small cars. It's at the top of a mountain and there is gravel road therefore it needs a bit of a bigger car.
And the place doesn't offer an iron
But it's a BEAUTIFUL PLACE.
A 10 out of 10 plus 10 minus NOTHING!
- Ralph (9/5): Great close getaway for home away from home! - Self-catering with great facilities to have peace and quiet and relax. There is a private jacuzzi and a facility to relax and read a book while out on the open.
The bed is very comfortable
- Paballo (2/5): Very poor - None Tha place is very far and deep. Their road is very bad to go down there, the house is very cold. Bathroom was smelling vomits😩😩. It’s too expensive for nothing. We didn’t enjoy at all.
- Andre (9/5): Superb -
- Thando (5/5): The drive was crazy and information lacks regarding restaurants. - That it’s got a beautiful view The jacuzzi was not working and everytime they say they fixed it, nothing was happening
- Mamabolo (2/5): Very poor -
- Tessa (7/5): Good -
- Elmarie (10/5): Fantastic stay - this is our new favourite spot! - Location location location! We loved to watch the sunset from the trampoline deck and then headed down to the heated jacuzzi for some R&R 🤩 The bathroom was a bit small and cold for winter
- Erin (8/5): Very good -
- Kyle (8/5): Great breakaway - The Jacuzzi needs a temperature regulator. The water was too hot to enjoy.
- Beyers (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rejoice (10/5): Perfect - The place overall is breath taking, the pictures on booking.com doesnt do any justice because thats definitely a place i will return to with my family. Its exquisite 👌 There was nothing to dislike, all was perfect
- Tshegofatso (6/5): Pleasant -
- Henry (8/5): Very good -
- Marilise (4/5): Very disappointing, no value for money - It was very hot- but no fan/aircon…
Although sunpanels, there was a power- out in area- fuse, but no back-up generator, no gas… could not shower or couldnt make coffee or could’nt charge cellphones- so just a sleepover…
No milk for coffee, after we asked milk or boiling water, no shampoo/conditioner, only hand/shower cheap pienk product… Very unprofessional management, worried more about their Security company, also running at same time- no worries about the guests that paid. Wanted to phone owner, manager gave incorrect number, more than 2 days later, still awaits correct number after asking twice ….
- Janet (5/5): Satisfactory overall but power issues should not be experienced by paying guests only. - Nice location, great sized property, well equipped. Outside area is lovely with great views. No power for most of our stay, could not shower, boil kettle, brush teeth, cook or heat up meals. The main house had a generator but no offer to boil us any water etc. when we enquired about the power issues. Very disappointing that the generator was not available to the paying guests. Road to accommodation is not good.
- Ivana (9/5): Superb -
- Kalinka (4/5): Disappointing - Location Host was dissapointing
Not value for money.
Would not go back.
- Sm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasmyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kobus (5/5): Passable - Location was good. Very relaxing. There was Ants everywhere. Small fridge with very small freezer. Shower was blocked
- Abdool (7/5): Good location. Nice, neat chalet with Jacuzzi. - The location is near Hartbeespoort amenities and activities. Jacuzzi on site. Nice outdoor suspended net to relax and view the mountains. The rooms are spacious and neat. The rooms are very hot and without air conditioning or a fan, it is very difficult and uncomfortable to sleep in especially with so many mosquitos in the area. A mosquito net over the beds will help a lot.
- Sindi (7/5): Close to the Barn wedding venue. Nice hosts - Very close proximity to the the Barn wedding venue. Nice big comfy beds, gorgeous view. So many bugs and no bug spray.
- Jasmyn (10/5): Exceptional - This was our second time staying at Jumanji and certainly won't be our last.
- Precious (8/5): Very good - the jacuzzi, the views, the atmosphere, the pool, could have been more cleaner . but not so bad
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jim (9/5): Perfect little gem of a getaway in the hills, private, pet friendly - The unit is perfectly placed up in the hills above the dam with stunning views. It is pet friendly so we had the two little dogs with us. Idyllic little getaway.
- Jessica (9/5): The staff was extremely helpful and try their best to make your stay worth while. - The view was absolutely stunning and it was so relaxing!!
- Pheto (4/5): Disappointing -
- Bongani (10/5): Exceptional - Everything especially the net and the Jacuzzi
- Falaza (10/5): I am definitely coming back - Everything Nothing
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rahul (9/5): Superb - Awesome stay and very gracious hosts. The views and braai area were amazing! The jacuzzi was not working
- Orsiela (2/5): Very poor - Not enough chairs for 4 people. No place to sit and socialise - either direct sun, no shade, no chairs, no table to eat. Went to bed at 7 o'clock staring at the ceiling - no TV, no lounge, no dining area (seating facilities - exept for VERY small table with 2 chairs), no seating around boma. Jacuzzi electrocuted me. No place for winter! Too cold to shower outside. No bath. Too expensive compared to other places that offer much, much more.
- Sriram (8/5): Besides a few hiccups, I must say that Jumanji Nature Resort is truly remarkable. We will be back!!! - I loved the net, it was amazing to sit back, relax, and watch the sunset. The feeling of being suspended in nature was truly magical. The fireplace was exceptional; it created a cozy atmosphere during the evenings. The entire house was neat and tidy, making it a comfortable and pleasant stay. The resort's serene ambiance provided the perfect environment to unwind and recharge. Unfortunately, we didn't get the full value for money regarding the Jacuzzi experience. My partner and I were really looking forward to enjoying the Jacuzzi, but upon arrival, it was powered off for several hours. We were only able to use it in the morning for a brief 10 minutes before we had to check out. Speaking of which, we received the check-out time via a private message, indicating it was 10 am, while the website stated 11 am. Despite the confusion, we respected the given time.
- Portia (5/5): Passable -
- Benedick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barend (9/5): Amazing stay, enjoyed the view! - The view is amazing, especially taking pillows and blankets and lying on the net outside. We enjoyed this! The gravel road to the property is a bit bad, you need to know this beforehand depending on the vehicle you are coming with. Bathroom is great, but it is not totally closed on the one side, with cold air coming through. Will be great in the summer, winter it's quite cold.
- Kearabetswe (8/5): It was a good experience. - The shower was clogging
- Anonymous (10/5): Jumanji all that we can say is IMPRESSIVE!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we’re spoiled. The view was - Jumanji all that we can say is IMPRESSIVE!!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we’re spoiled. The view was spectacular and the jacuzzi an absolute treat. Thank you for all the extra effort with the boma and blankets. We will be back soon. Not a dislike just a suggestion, some signage on the road in would be helpful.
- Anonymous (10/5): extremely amazing - I liked the jacuzzi, the pool, the shower you could feel the outdoor while you are indoor I liked the view it was amazing so far nothing
