• tuyota (1/5): IT IS A SCAM DO NOT BOOK!!! I booked a two-bed apartment as advertised, but was give a one - IT IS A SCAM DO NOT BOOK!!! I booked a two-bed apartment as advertised, but was give a one room (Not even a one bed-apartment). Host didnt pick call. I didnt get key to the one room until 2am. I am currently contacting Booking.com to collect my money back from the Host

No one else should book this place and booking.com needs to take it down off their site, this place should be reported, I call booking.com for a refund their policy is a no refund because I didn't pay for refund. • Rohey (1/5): Do you not book, Nothing like the images is dirty and stinks - There was nothing to like about this property, you step in a smells like damp it’s disgusting. I was also told that they just clean the place I don’t know what type of cleaning outside please. Don’t waste your money and the Host is horrendous. Has horrible communication skills I’m still struggling to get my refund. This place needs a whole revamp There’s even black mould, it was disgusting. It’s nothing like the pictures at all.

• Nailah (1/5): Disgusting!!! - I’m absolutely disgusted from what I have seen today , I got the check in details it was smooth easy to find however this is where the apartment from hell is waiting through the doors . From the moment I opened the doors honestly I thought I open the wrong apartment firstly , the stench that blew into my face knocked me sick . I looked down and around and its looked like very well used apartments dog bowls, dog food , rubbish , wrappers , food , bread , food left in bowls . Walllk through to the living room untidy towels on the floors pillows here there and everywhere . Now you think that’s bad let’s not get started on upstairs where everything single bed had been slept in big bags everywhere used shower , broken cabinets even a knife on the floor . I wouldn’t even pay 5£ to stay in there I was flabbergasted , startled and even scared way to many feelings at once to explain a place like this

• Saqib (1/5): Need refund - Avoid Urban Apartments in Birmingham at All Costs I had an absolutely terrible experience staying at Urban Apartments in Birmingham. There was no internet throughout my stay, which was incredibly frustrating. Even worse, there was no heating, and the nights were unbearably cold. It was almost impossible to sleep or feel comfortable. For the price they charge, the service is appalling. They don’t seem to care about their guests’ basic needs or comfort. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—it was such a waste of money and a miserable experience. Stay far away! Avoid Urban Apartments in Birmingham at All Costs

• Olivia (2/5): Disappointed - I stayed at this BnB last night, which advertised car parking. However, when I tried to leave in the morning, the car park was locked. I was unable to reach the owner using the contact number provided and had to wait an hour until a neighbor, fortunately, helped grant access. Later, I realized I had left a bag in the BnB. I tried contacting the owner multiple times but received no response. When I returned to check a few hours later, the property had already been cleaned, and my bag was no longer there. I’ve since reached out to the owner again but have not heard back at this time.
• Jamie (4/5): Disappointing - The flat was a fair size for short stay, there was basic amenities and the oven clean and work great just needed cutlery, suprised about the clean towels nicely laid out, bedding and sheets clean. The place had good wifi and 2 TVs. Was cleaned, but some areas needed more attention, felt grubby. Great location shame about the parking rule leaving 2am until 3pm same day with limited parking close by, close to the city centre for shopping and local attractions good selection of takeaways also close by Morrison 10 min walk First no door number was given so luckily a secruity guard of the shisha bar/ car park attendent said try this door 216 after looking and knocking on random doors with lockboxes for 30mins with the number given not in use! Also informed us that even though we can use free parking if we didn't move our car by 2am, we wouldn't be able to access it until 3 pm that same day, with minimal parking close by. Then went up unlight stairs. It was in some serious need of TLC! we found there was 1 t spoon and 2 bread knives when we ordered food late that evening. There was loud music from the bar downstairs. The top door felt after locking it wouldn't take much if someone wanted to get in. The sofa needs a cover or replacing!

• Simone (1/5): Do not book - Nothing The place is like a brothel Very dodgy area On entering the property the smell of smoke was evident There was mice droppings in the kitchen and by the boiler The sofa was filthy with lots of stains etc The bathroom is covered in black mould which you can smell when you walk upstairs and the bedrooms are even worse. Bedding was filthy, black mould on ceiling and corners of room. Do not book this property. I could not stay here and the hosts number does not work and no respond to messages.

• Abbie (5/5): Passable - the rooms were recent the bathroom was disgusting. the toilet would not flush so we had to go at restaurants. there was absolutely no cutlery. the location was also horrendous
• Chipilova (1/5): Bizarre experience - There is nothing that i like in this place. It was just bizarre experience. The photographs on Booking.com doesn't match the reality. It wasn't clean. All the smoke detectors were disabled. There were towels in the washer, no toilet roll In the bathroom, some mold on the bathroom ceiling, toillettries from previous occupants, in the fridge there was a bottle of soft drink from previous occupants. The parking space shuts at 2: 00 am and reopen at 3:00 pm. We couldn't stay there. Stay just the first night and left the next day.

• Sumit (1/5): Bad experience - Bed has bed bugs, no light in the corridor, no lock in the bathroom , dirty cushion, i had bed bug bites on my body. My family had bug bites. Our car was locked in the parking, no access and owner never answered the calls. We were late for event due to this.

• Jo (4/5): Good if you only need a bed for the night. - The location was great for us as needed to get to University of Birmingham early the next day. There were no glasses In the apartment and only 2 sets of cutlery. The oven was dirty and there was someone else’s shampoo/shower gel and body puff left in the shower. We couldn’t get either of the tvs to work. When we came to leave at 8am, found the shutters were locked to the car park.. no answer to the numerous calls made to the owner or messages.
• Alicja (5/5): Good if you need a place for one night, convenient location - The apartment is in a very good location if you are going for a gig or other entertainment. In the description it says you can use the car park at the back of the building. It should state, your car is locked in there till Shisha Lounge will open. Luckily for us the cleaner came around 12 and she opened a parking lot.

• Nardia (1/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS APARTMENT - We arrived in Birmingham for a wedding celebration. Family of 5. We got to the apartment, and there was no instructions of what specific address. After contacting booking.com, I was told to wait 45 minutes after which, at the last minute, to be told the accommodation had been cancelled with no reason by the owner.
• Kristina (3/5): DO NOT RENT THIS APARTMENT!!! - The apartment, at first glance, appeared clean. Soon, we noted marks on the sofa bed in the living room and the smell of cigarettes inside. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY, FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!!! Outside felt very unsafe. At the time of getting the apartment key, we were approached by a stranger asking if we rented a house or apartment and was trying to intervene. Inside had a smell of cigarettes, marks on the sofa, walls, bathroom door broken like it was kicked from inside. Noises outside from front and back of apartment, not peaceful at all. Car park behind the apartment. The guy informed me that the gate would be closed at 2 a.m., and he could not tell me when it would open again. No access to our own car. The owner replied once when asked where to park. On later messages regading property, they did not respond. Still no response via phone or email from owner.

Take your money but dont give access to the property - Nothing Tried to contact owner 48 hours before arrival as not received instructions on how to get the keys. Arrived at the property still no contact on how to access the property, rang the number a total of 97 times, emailed, tried to make contact via Booking.com but nothing. Eventually we had no choice but to find alternative accommodation which as you can imagine at very last minute we had limited options & ended up pays 3 times as much as we had paid for the original booking!! I want my money refunding.

• Muhammad (1/5): Very disgusting and unhygienic. - Nothing. It was absolutely disgusting. There was staining on the bed sheets and pillow covers, also black mold in the corner of the shower cubicle. Grease covered cooker with laminate flooring pealing away and dirt leading up to the apartment and inside the apartment.
• Jonathan (3/5): Avoid at all costs! - Beds were comfortable. We were hoping to check in at 3pm and once we had arrived to the location and the host was contacted, we were informed that the previous occupant would not leave. Understanding the situation, we waited around (it was cold and rainy, we had to pay for parking where we waited and we had 2 elderly parents). We kept messaging and calling the host for an update but were not getting a response. Because we couldn’t wait any longer, we went to the location at 8pm and the cleaner let us in. We waited for the cleaner to finish cleaning as it was still a mess but we know that’s not her fault. We received no contact from the host. The location was terrible being right above a shisha lounge, meaning it was extremely noisy with people unnecessarily revving their sports cars at crazy hours in the night. The bathroom was mouldy and lacked hand soap. There was cat hair everywhere that you would be completely covered just by sitting on the sofa. It’s a good job none of us were allergic. While the accommodation is good value for money, beware as in our opinion it was not worth it at all.
