- Fei (8/5): Great place for our first stay at Milos! - Sleek design. Nice amenities. Great outdoor space with seating for 6. This place has been recently renovated and is very stylish, sleek, and comfortable and has great amentities. Our guests remarked a lot of the style and ambiance of this place. For 4 people, this apartment is perfect. The balcony is a great space to eat or just relax and I appreciated that there was private parking. The apartment des not accommodate 6 people. We had a last minute change in plans to our itinerary and added 2 more people, and requested if it was okay to add 2 more people to the rental. Management asked us to official request the change to booking.com, and to pay an extra 30 euro/per day/per person over our original bill. They also asked that we pay in cash. Fine, we complied with these asks, even though it was above the original price when we booked and I'm fairly sure we would have gotten the same price if we booked for 6 originally. However, what made this unpleasant was the apartment absolutely does not accommodate 6 people, despite listing it as max occupancy. The sofa bed in the living room sleeps 1 at most and has a giant blinking green light that you can't shut off. We were very uncomfortable with this many people despite paying a premium. I also thought the pick up could be improved. We had older guests in our party who were at the port with 6+ luggages, and our host insisted that we wheel off of it to the Riva agency to meet the driver in the dead heat of noon instead of having the driver (that we were paying) drive to the port. This shows an surprising lack of empathy considering we were tired, hot, and had a lot of luggage to carry.

The house offers no closets and in general no storage room at all . Nowhere to put the luggage on ... In the shower we had to place our toiletries , sponge etc. on the floor . No instructions to run the washing machine .

I was texting with the property manager and he gave us I instructions as to how to get to the apartment and left keys for us. We never met the manager and once we got into the apartment we never heard from him. Even when we were checking out.

- Sam (9/5): Updated apartment in a central location in Adamantas. - We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath apartment at Magma Milos Apartments in Adamantas for four nights in June 2023. The apartment was just fully renovated and we were only the third rental for the unit since it was completed. The owner has done an incredible, high quality update to the space, creating a modern, spacious apartment for guests. The location is convenient and only a 15 minute walk to the port and many restaurants. There is dedicated parking at the apartment, which is convenient since you really need a car to explore Milos. The master has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The sink area is in the main part of the bedroom and offers plentiful counter space, allowing someone to get ready while another is showering. The master bed was very comfortable with a thick mattress topper. Please note that while the king bed is made of two twins, the beds cannot be separated due to nightstands on each side and the mattress topper. The second bedroom has a queen bed. Based on messaging with the property, we were expecting a way to have our teen sons to have separate beds. While that was not possible, the couch did fold down into a bed (more like a futon, but nicer). The cleaning staff provided a plush mattress topper for the couch making it comfortable enough that my son didn’t want to change beds with his brother than got the queen bedroom the first night. The curtains are thin, but when closed, the shutters provide a near blackout of light, allowing us to sleep remarkably late. One suggested update for the property is to provide a window covering for the glass on the patio door. We solved that by hanging a thin microfiber beach towel over the door before closing it for the night. That worked well, but not everyone will have an effective solution in their luggage with them. The free, on-site dedicated parking was a real bonus. We would stay at this property again. The biggest downside was that the neither bedroom had a bed that could be separated into two twin beds. While a washing machine is listed, there is no drying capability for laundry. We requested a drying rack and one was promptly delivered to our apartment. There was plenty of room both inside and on the patio for the drying rack, so the clothing dried fairly quickly once moved outside. However, that is something to consider as one needs to be planful on timing of laundry for a few reasons: 1) The power turns off when you take the keys with you 2) The washer is located in the kitchen area and it will disturb anyone sleeping on the sofa bed 3) There is no clothes dryer so you need to allow adequate time for clothing to dry before packing to leave There were no instructions in English for the washer so we had to do a web search to figure out how to use it (a suggestion was sent to the property to provide instructions in English for guests). Unfortunately, the apartment was wired such that the stove, dishwasher, and washing machine all turn off when you remove the keys to leave the apartment. You must be present to run the dishwasher and washer. You have to reset the clock on the stove every time you return or it flashes an annoying light that is distracting in the common area, especially to anyone sleeping on the couch.
