Guest Reviews

- Janet (10/5): Beautiful farm with so much to do and all the comforts of glamping. - So many activities! Hiking, Mountain Biking, Climbing, Swimming. We really needed more than 2 nights to fit it all in! There was a warm shower, a picnic area with tables to cook and eat and even lounge chairs to sit around the fire. The best part was the sink with warm water to do the dishes! Thank you for sharing your farm! Nothing.

- Christian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maureen (10/5): Very cosy, gorgeous scenery. This is the 2nd time we visited so obviously we love it. - Beautiful location and scenery. Easy access, perfect instruction. Host very friendly and welcoming. Could do with a bolt on the bathroom door, and the taps needed turning 3 or four times before water came out. And maybe a little table or shelf next too the cooker to place your pan lid or wooden spoon, we tended to have to use the coffee table. Position of TV is a little useless if you did want to use it :)
- Joubert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anelda (9/5): Superb - The cottage is beautiful, spacious, and equipped with everything you need, with a super comfy bed and large clawed bathtub in the bedroom being the standout features. The hiking trails are amazing, with the rock formations creating a stunning backdrop, and a dam to cool off in after a day of exploring. Was well worth the long roadtrip and hope to be back soon.
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yury (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stanislav (10/5): Exceptional - Everything- natural Environment, hiking, tranquility Nothing
- Theo (7/5): Nice surroundings, nice location. - For us this was again stop-over for one night. We had a large living with inside braai (which we did not use as such), two bed rooms and a bath room. There is no dinner nor breakfast location nearby so you have to be self-supporting. The surroundings are lovely. It is a bit basic, being a converted stable housing. If you're not looking for high comfort and luxury, this is a great place to stay.
- Fred (8/5): Very good - The location was very good and the place was comfortable. The indoor braai was a much due to the weather.
- Gerda (7/5): Good - N/a Mold in the shower and the classes in the cupboard was oily and not washed propperly
- Hans (9/5): Superb - Superb location No (only) minor heater
- Giles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicolaas (9/5): Superb -
- Faried (9/5): Superb -

- Keith (10/5): Wonderful value and great location and farm - Fabulous farm stay in Southern Cedarberg
- Priscilla (10/5): A stunning location with wonderful views and relaxing walks on a working farm - The well maintained historic building and peaceful serenity Nothing not too like
- Anina (10/5): Awesome.Host greeted us and we felt welcome. -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful accommodation, so full of character, being a converted old stable building.
Everything about it was lovely. We liked everything
- George (8/5): Peaceful, quiet, off the beaten path, nice facilities. - Peaceful setting, lovely facilities, off the beaten track.
- Vaughan (10/5): Peace and quiet and a beautiful cottage! - On a long road trip to the West Coast, we looked for somewhere to stay near Ceres, and this accommodation was absolutely amazing, and exceeded all our expectations. We wanted somewhere with peace and quiet, and we got that and more. The host has provided a beautiful thatched cottage with beautiful views over the lawn to the mountains. The cottage is amazing, with so many personal and historical touches. Facilities were great, and the cottage was so well stocked with equipment and utensils. We were very comfortable there, and enjoyed walking to the dam and swimming. There are longer walks and mountain bike trails also available. And we enjoyed the very friendly ginger cat who visited us! We shall definitely stay here again! We had to leave in the morning!!
- Mohamed (9/5): Great cottage near the mountains. - Nice, comfortable and clean cottage tucked away near the mountains. Has hiking and MTB trails and is a perfect place to "just relax". Nothing really.
- Leon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (8/5): Very good - interesting place - an earliier barn or stable transformed in a cozy lodge? never met the host personally
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - The hostess was so friendly helpful. All the creature comforts were catered for.
- Derek (9/5): We enjoy the outdoors, the scenery and rock formations. We had a very active few days. - We spent most of our time walking and rock climbing. There are really nice climbing routes at Houdenbek, with lots of potential for more routes. We opened 4 new trad lines. The scenery and the rock formations on the hikes are amazing.
