- Manatosh Kumar (2/5): Totally Disappointed hotel and super bad guidanance - Nothing was like ... Fully disappointed Room is totally different as per site recommendation... In Deluxe family room one bed was bery bad quality.. Plywood was broken and downfall in middle of bed
- Deb Daipayan (6/5): -
- Harsh (10/5): The place was beautiful, beneath the mountains. Our hosts were lovely and responsive, took care of all the needs. - The rooms were well maintained and tidy. Nothing, everything was good.
- Tudu (10/5): 5star resort at Silk route’s paradise - Fresh and flavourful with loved the chef Nothing
- Mistri (10/5): Fantastic - Fantastic overall.
- Vikram (1/5): - Very helpful staff & great location. Filthy rooms and toilets, extremely filthy kitchen and common areas. Noisy crowds playing loud music. The beds and sheets were so smelly and filthy that we slept with out using the sheets to cover ourselves. We just slept in our warm clothes.
- Rahul (7/5): -
- Souvik (10/5): -
- Pranjit (1/5): Hopeless place - Nothing Everything
- Guest (10/5): - Absolutely loved my stay!
Breathtaking views, peaceful surroundings, and the most delicious food I've ever had at a resort.
A perfect blend of comfort, nature and warm himalayan hospitality. Thanks
- Gunamoni (1/5): Never come to this hotel.Hotel was closed and there was no prior information of cancellation. - Nothing was there when I reached Padamchen.Hotel was closed.Contact number personal was not picking up the phone after ringing 5 times , previous Dat also I called. Hotel was closed so there is nothing to like
- Das (10/5): Exceptional - Best reset in Himalayas. So many options of food .
- Misra (10/5): Wonderful gesture with mesmerizing view from our room. - Lots of option and very friendly gesture.
- Sridhar (1/5): An utterly forgettable stay in an otherwise memorable location - Our experience with this place was unfortunately way below par. The room was very as such unclean to begin with, and also not cleaned up before our check-in (with cigarette packets still in the dustbin, and unmentionables in the linens). Do not get fooled by the room pictures posted in the booking sites - sadly, the reality was starkly different.
We are also not sure how google reviews rave about the food quality. Our options (and we are pure vegetarians) was very limited, and the taste barely passed muster. We stayed in the ground floor, which also turned out to be very noisy, from the kitchen and the other rooms.
This is not a luxury resort despite their claim otherwise.
Sadly, this experience ended up as a big turn-off in an otherwise memorable hamlet that is Phadamchen.
- Misra (9/5): Best stay and best food in Sikkim - Lots of option from varieties of Bread to Luchi, three types of side dish, eggs and sweets. Its almost rare in city like Gangtok or Pelling. This place exceeds all. Just wonderful arrangements.
- Purbay (10/5): Wonderful and great stay - Wonderful hospitality, much much better than even Gangtok or Pelling resorts. Food is just too good and very welcoming people. Nothing
- Shayan (1/5): Booked for two days but had to leave immediately after one day due to worst experience. - There was nothing good about this property. First of all the photos given in booking.com doesn’t match with the property. The photos are filtered in booking.com.
Secondly, too much pungent smell comes from there.
Thirdly, very much unhygienic.
Too much insects. Geyser doesn’t works in some rooms.
Not suitable for standard families.
- Bhat (1/5): Can be compared with a Lodge stay. Worth only 1000-1200 rupees per day. - View from room No even basic facilities
- Natasha (10/5): Best rooms and best food above all in Sikkim. - Best rooms and very good food.
- Sampurna (1/5): Bad -
- Madhurima (9/5): Superb -
- Dutta (10/5): Wonderful experience. - Wonderful overall Stayed only for 1 night . Need to stay at least 2 /3 nights
- Sancharika (10/5): beautiful memories and had ethereal experience. - Tranquility at its best
The accommodations and dining, the hotel's amenities all of these were top-notch.
All the staff members were friendly and eager to ensure my stay was memorable.
- Sancharika (10/5): incredible experience,will recommend to all... -
- Barman (9/5): Excellent Stay - I like the location of the Sherpa Retreat. Rooms are cozy and worth the money. Food is homely.
Excellent stay and my family members are happy. The staff are good. Staff are less.
- Das (10/5): Best resort with amazing Himalayan view - Amazing food quality the best we had got in Sikkim. Resort has big garden place and very big view rooms. Amazingly all rooms in this resort is Himalayan view. Their new Swiss tents are great (though we missed it ). Internet connectivity is great and only here it's available
- Naskar (10/5): Best food and energetic experience. - Cuisine is truly delicious and caring manager Mr Joy is always a plus point. Rooms are very spacious and extremely well decorated in this remote part. Wifi is big add on as it's the only place / hotel in entire Nathang, Lunghthu ,Zuluk and Phadamchen or Nemachen . So no problem with connectivity as other tourists are facing staying in different homestays or hotels. I find many tourists from other hotels came here to access internet(as it's very important for basic works ). We wish to come again and again . Highly recommend to all coming in the Silk route . Nothing
- Niteen (1/5): Bad - Nothing
- Rajib (1/5): Dirty propert with incorrect room specifications mentioned in booking.con - Extremely dirty property. Carpets were stained and unhygienic. Room specifications in booking.com mentioned toilet paper and heating and none of those were available in the rooms. Geyser in the bathroom were seldom operating due to no proper power back up as electricity supply is very unreliable and power outages were frequent.
- Amartya (10/5): Stay at Padmachen - The owner was very friendly and the hospitality was excellent.
- Gopabandhu (10/5): Exceptional - The hospitality was superb, owner and staff are polite and well behaved very helpful, specially jimmy was superb
- Khazanchi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rupam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chirag (10/5): Exceptional - Hospitality Excellent service
- Gayen (9/5): Good food nice view and warmth of staff is plus point - Good food served
- Indranil (10/5): Wonderful stay - Wonderful hospitality along with superb menu selections and prompt services. Mountain view from room and massive garden is plus point.
- Subhra (1/5): Not a good experience at all, would NEVER visit it again. - Literally nothing. No electricity, literally had to sleep in very low temperatures without a heater. Very unclean.
- Lopamudra (10/5): Awesome View - The view from the room. The food was homely and tasty. Nothing as such.
- Abir (7/5): Good -
- Sentu (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staffs were always motivated to help us. The food was excellent, - We most like there have so many food menu options & food was Hygienic & tasty & staff behavior like home. Everything was good but i think there have no card payment options, it could be easier to payment if available.
- Akash (1/5): Bad - Location Rooms are not at all like this. Location is the only good thing. Food is very very very bad.
Good location homestay managed very bad.
- Bela (1/5): - - The property was a scam. The photos that they have uploaded are not of the same place. And they continue to keep calling for advance payment before we arrived at the place.
It is a below mediocre place of stay with stinking staff quarters at the entrance and unhygienic rooms and poor facilities.
- Ranjan (1/5): Bad - The staff was very cooperative and tried to manage things to his best No Water in the taps. Had to use bucket
Food was below average
It is just a home stay
Too costly for the services provided. Other homestays with half the cost would have been better than Sherpa Retreat
- Prithavi (8/5): Very good -
- Jayanta (10/5): Enjoyed - All the people were very good and helpful 👍
