Guest Reviews
- Debbie (9/5): Good when traveling with friends, nice amount of room. - The layout and space of the home was good.
- Nobuko (10/5): とても良かった。 - 広いキッチンと、3部屋あるのでくつろげた。周りも静かで環境もよいし、移動もしやすかった。
- Tanya (10/5): We loved our stay! - Great location, clean and everything there you need for a stay! N/A
- Kirsten (7/5): It does the job if you are not planning to stay inside much. It offers a clean, comfortable accommodation for a weekend - Location was ideal. Clean, comfortable close to the shoreline/ beach. Air-con worked well. There was well stocked cutlery, cookware and dishes. A little rough around the edges. There were holes in the walls, missing door knobs, cock roaches and not much amenities such as shampoo or coffee.
- Kt (7/5): -
- Ashley (3/5): Below par accomodation given the price - House was in a terrible state. Very old and rundown, only one bath towel, cockroaches everywhere. Very disappointing!
- Sven (9/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): Comfortable, spacious and good location. - Very spacious house great for family and close to the beach. Could do with a little maintenance and wifi kept dropping out.
- Sarah (7/5): -
- Candice (10/5): - Fun No fly screens on window
- Susan (8/5): Great place to wind down and relax - Cervantes beach shack has everything you need for a relaxing trip with the family.
Quiet neighbourhood.
Walking distance to the beach. A queen size bed would be awesome as the double bed was way too small for my husband and I. That being said, there were plenty of beds to go around
- Sabine Christa (3/5): - Location, host was helpful for the issues we had and we got reimburseded or our inconvienience.
Nicely decorated. Good place for a family of 4 and close to the beach. Pests in the house, possibly due to hot day.
House cleaner needs training to keep the house cleaner and owner will get onto it, hard to control if not in the same town.
Beds could be more modern and newer, for nearly $300 a night
- Marco (6/5): -
- Jodi (9/5): - House has a great beaching feel
Location is amazing
Great host
- Bellingham (9/5): Getaway - I liked how peaceful and quite it was. Perfect location to beach and restaurants. It was fine overall but If I had to pick I'd say maybe wasn't cleaned before we come. Empty toilet roll left on toilet roll holder and a few crumbs on the floor and spider webs. That's just being over the top though as we were all fully happy.
- Tanya (10/5): -
- Jade (8/5): -
- Kyungsup (7/5): Good place - Location is good Rooms are too cold to sleep
- Jenine (8/5): Great relaxing break with good weather, everything you need is in the house - Good location plenty of parking space

- Peter (1/5): We left a day early and asked for a refund which we got thanks to the managing agent - Nothing Badly damaged floors and smashed wall in one room. This property shouldn’t have been let
- Sue (8/5): Very good -
- Tatiana (8/5): Very good -
- Alan (9/5): Nice accommodation - We really enjoyed our stay here. It's comfortable and has a good range of facilities
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Anna (1/5): Wouldn’t stay there again - Very run down. The bedding wasn’t clean, smelt old and of old deodorant. The fridge was filthy and the tea towels, everything looked greasy and dirty.
- Russell (7/5): Good -
- Amy (10/5): Relaxing comfortable - It was cosy nice outdoor area felt like home It’s not that I didn’t like it but the only thing that was weird for me was the bed being on wheels as I toss and turn during the night the bed moved when I did
- Stuart (8/5): Very good - Lovely hot shower. A beautiful beach shack all round . Absolutely nothing. A joy to stay there with my family.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eoin (8/5): Exactly what we thought it was going to be, a beach shack. Nice character and great for the price - Its a typical beach shack, good fun with the family NA
- Mcmillan (7/5): Good -
- Bwettyg (4/5): Disappointing - Location The main bathroom shower was dirty with hair.
The downstairs was dusty and BBQ not cleaned.
Acquaintances of the owner just rocked up unannounced to grab a 4wd from the back shed. And then to drop it off. No warning or communication, we had personal items out didn't feel comfortable.
- Lisa (6/5): Pleasant - It gave us an opportunity to get together as a family within walking distance to the beach. Carrie was lovely to deal with via message on the booking ap. It was great to have our dog with us and know he was safely fenced in. We enjoyed some outstanding sunsets. There were limited power points and we were not able to use both bed lamps. It was advertised as having 2 bathrooms but the one downstairs was not in good condition and usable. The outdoor furniture needed an upgrade. It was also disappointing to be rudely confronted by the ‘manager’, who lived across the road, within hours of our arrival.
- Gallagher (8/5): Thanks it was great -
- Cody (1/5): Bad - Facility’s were dirty and the owner who lives across the road was incredibly rude wouldn’t recommend
- Jake (6/5): Pleasant - Great location. Nice big back yard for dogs. A lot of the windows are missing fly screens. It would be nice to open up and let the sea breeze through instead of running the A/C the while time, especially at night
- Rhianne (7/5): Good -
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Robinson (8/5): Very good -
- Naima (4/5): Disappointing - The location and space The facilities are run down and it was smelly. The price is too high for this
- Annette (7/5): Good -
- Alaine (10/5): Exceptional - We were a group of 5 and we all agreed it was a great choice for us all. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and a fully equipped kitchen with great BBQ and seating areas downstairs. All in all great place and value for money. Close to shops, local tavern and beach. There was nothing that any of us didn't like..
- Howard (7/5): It was an experience though to be honest we came to like the place. - The 'Shack' as it is aptly called is in a very quiet location just a few yards from a quiet beach and comes well supplied with beach gear such as beach cart and camping style chairs.
The kitchen is nicely kitted out with what appears to be a new fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster along with plenty of crockery and utensils.
The lounge area has 2 nice leather sofas and a big flat screen TV and is air conditioned. Two fans were also provided though one was broken and useless while the other had a thick layer of dust which I had to remove before use. To be fair the host did provide a new fan (which I couldn't fully assemble) but it turned out was not needed as the weather cooled down.,
Must admit we all slept pretty well though some of the bunk beds had a bit of a dip in them. Bedding was clean. The biggest complaint would be the fact that the building is advertised as having 2 bathrooms but this was not the case but instead there was a shower stall with 2 shower heads (ideal for 2 children at a time or (use your imagination) and a sink. Adjacent was a toilet but in a separate room. Downstairs in the utility room was a shower stall which I guess would be ideal for rinsing off after the beach but it seemed in a poor state and little used
There was a lot of random wiring in the building with long extension cable used to much effect, one even from the living area to a bedroom next door which had no power outlet and nothing anywhere near the TV in another bedroom.
Had to wonder about how the building was standing up as it did seem to be of a very do it yourself style and indeed if the two wooden posts in the living area were in fact supporting the ceiling. Floor covering which was torn in places was obviously a cheap vinyl or linoleum made to look like laminate.
We had all sorts of problems locking the screen outer door but I was told by the host that new door was on order so that will improve the security though the area is very quiet so when we went out on occasion we just had to leave the building open.
Just to be aware there are approximately 15 steps up to the living quarters.
I will try to add photos from my phone later
- Jacek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadine (10/5): Great location, well equipped, clean and great value for money. Thanks Carrie! - Great location, well equipped, clean and great value for money. The fenced and shaded outdoor living area downstairs was perfect for family BBQ’s. We could kick back and relax knowing that the kids were safe and contained. Nothing! It was absolutely perfect for us!
- Kerry (8/5): Very good - Location was great.
- Lesley (9/5): Superb - An older home but very comfortable and had all you needed. Good location. Very quiet. Great new bbq. Used both days. Great location for visiting The Pinnacles and went swimming with sea lions. Amazing
- Biljana (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (7/5): Other than trying to sleep it was great value for money. - Location was great…. Walking distance to beach, shops and pub. The noise from the roof was on another level noisey. We had 5 kids so wanted early nights but couldn’t because the roof was banging until the wind died down about 11am. It was awful.
- Silveria (8/5): Very good - Clean and neat . Good facilities provided. The second bathroom and toilet could not be used as not a part of the house. The house liveable area was on the first floor where as the second bathroom and toilet was on the ground floor where the access was outside the house making it inconvenient to be used.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Emilie (9/5): Very relaxing and fun - It felt very homey and calm. It was peaceful and would very a very good place for family as there was plenty of room. You could definitely walk down to the beach for a swim or watch the sunset. We ended up doing a seals tour where we got to swim with seals which we read about in their booklet which had a lot of great information.
- Bianca (7/5): Good - Clean
