Guest Reviews
- read (8/5): - Best meal I had all week. Halloumi burger super delicious Lighting to rooms from hotel to motel
- Amie (9/5): -
- Laurel (9/5): When you don’t pay a lot, you don’t expect a lot. But this place offered a lot, atmosphere, clean tidy, great staff and - The atmosphere Nothing
- Gaylene (8/5): -
- Peter (6/5): Great for price food in pub excellent - Staff very friendly Lights in rooms annoying as have to have all on if want beside lamp on
Needed a hand towel to wipe hands
- Patrick (8/5): convenient close to my daughter - close to everything i liked everything
- Ronny (7/5): -
- watson (10/5): - We first ordered a bigger room but by the time we got there they had organised staying with other family.
There was no issue about letting us have a smaller room. The quality of the room and the price that we paid, it's unexpected nowadays. I can't think of anything
- Chris (9/5): Rachel still great food great service - Clean toilet good service Nothing to dislike
- Chris (10/5): Great place food excellent and staff the best - Great locat Nothing all good
- beverley (10/5): Would definitely stay there again - Location was very central to where the wedding address was. We had a car crash right outside the property and the staff bent over backwards to help us and make our stay awesome.
- Hannah (10/5): - Was great - ideal location for the wedding we attended. Big room, well equipped, great aircon. Nice staff and a great country pub next door. Carpet was a bit old and could do with refresh, but honestly room was good value for money and comfy bed etc. Would recommend.
- Graeme (8/5): Lovely friendly staff and excellent pub food - Neat and comfortable Carpet a bit stained
- Luke (9/5): Nice comfortable 2-night stay in the Hunter for a reasonable price, would recommend - Cheap but comfortable and ease of transaction. I don’t want to spend $300 a night when I’m barely going to be in the room, this option is great for a traveller like me Rat trap inside the room was a bit concerning! But wasn’t too much of an issue, I can understand controlling pests in a country environment can be tricky
- Melissa (10/5): -
- doherty (5/5): It was somewhere to stay.late at night! - The bed was comfy sheet were clean and a good supply of breakfast cereals if so desired Although the linen was clean the carpet was disgustingly dirty, bin not emptied and a beer bottle left sitting on the shower wall

- Julia (8/5): Good - It was comfortable and clean The Air conditioner didnt work but thats ok
- Sidney (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly staff and great pub. Very well supplied with breakfast goods, tea and coffee Carpet really stained, rodent feed station inside, under table, shower pretty ordinary. The extra single bed in room uses up space.
- Jess (6/5): Pleasant - Convenient location. Comfortable clean beds. Shower in need of repair. Overpriced for quality of room. Air-conditioning troublesome to use.
- Weatherby-fell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (7/5): Good - No washer or hand towel. Bed light didn’t work lots of insects in bathroom light.
- Toni (8/5): Convenient, Pub bistro so didn't have to drive anywhere to get dinner. -
- Sheather (7/5): Good -
- Christopher (8/5): Fairly happy with stay - All staff were really good with how they helped us was just the room needs a up date and windows that could be opened to air room bathroom needs a little update Windows couldn't be opened room had a bit of a musky smell
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Jorja (8/5): AWESOME! - I booked this hotel for after going out for my friends 18th so I can imagine we probably weren’t the quietest after we got back from our night out, and not one complaint or knock on the door. I really appreciate how kind hearted these staff members were! they even let us sleep in till 12 and check out time was 10am! I recommend this place for sure!! And their rooms are such good prices for what they give you! I couldn’t think of anything..
- Sara (1/5): Bad -
- Taylor (8/5): A really comfortable, convenient stay! - The room was simple and clean, and had everything I needed. They also offered continental breakfast options in my room which was a nice plus! They didn’t really provide any guest information in the rooms, ie wifi. And also their room lamp lights weren’t working - when I turned off the main light switch it turned all the lights off, which was odd.
- Sue (8/5): Good value property. Food was fantastic in their pub. - It was a great location to our friends in Allandale.
- Cindy (7/5): Good - IT was fine for what i needed and the man who served me was polite and very helpful. My matress was overly soft, i could not sit on it, but my collegues was nice and firm so maybe they have one of each to cater to peoples preferences.
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (5/5): you get what you pay for and the accommodation suited our needs. - Good sized room. good location for our needs. comfy beds. very loose toilet seat. basin plug that let water out. cockroaches.
- Deborah (8/5): Very good - This little place was reasonably priced, clean and the air conditioner was excellent which in this heat made it so much more comfortable. I'd definitely be back for a stay to visit friend in Greta 👍 Undercover parking would be nice but you can't have everything.
- Kimpar (5/5): Passable -
- Raisa (7/5): Good -
- Nesbert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - Super comfort bed, super close to the event we had.
- Rhonda (7/5): Cheap accommodation for a trip to the wineries. - Room was basic and a bit dated, but clean with comfy beds. Good value. Great food in pub bistro. Best thing is location as my husband and I were attending a concert at a large Hunter Valley winery. The coach picked us up right out the front and dropped us off. Couldn't have been more convenient. Decor a bit outdated but you get what you pay for.
- Tony (9/5): Superb -
- Teymouri (7/5): Good - The location . There were some cockroaches inside the room, especially around the fridge. Everything else was good. You can't fill the kettle in the bathroom tap . It's not fitting there.
- Lynne (7/5): Good -
- Cheeseman (8/5): Very good -
- Justine (7/5): Nice and cheap for one night. - Good location for what we wanted. There was mould all on bathroom ceiling and the place smelt very musty. There were light switches right about the bed that we kept hitting our heads on. Checkout was 10am but the motel didn’t open until 11, we didn’t know where to leave the key so just left the door unlocked and the key in the room.
- Paige (10/5): Exceptional - Awaw from others
- Ruby (5/5): It was a convenient stay, not worth the price point. - Convenient location There was an AC unit in the room but no remote to be found which wasn't ideal given the outside tempreture was quite cold and the beds blankets were not terribly warm.
The shower didn't have a curtain/screen which meant water wet everywhere throughout the bathroom
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (7/5): Good -
- Steven (8/5): Very good - Neat and clean. Great old pub next door
- Natasha (9/5): The room and staff are wonderful however I couldn’t justify paying $200 for 1 room 1 night - The location is great , clean , friendly . The double bed sagged in the middle making it very uncomfortable , also there is no iron in room 9 , no soap in the dispenser , but soap placed on the end of the beds .
- Danielle (10/5): Absolutely amazing staff were amazing and friendly rooms were nice and clean - We had a extremely late check in the lady was amazing
I had booked 2 rooms but she fixed it up and I got 1 room definitely amazing
- Bridget (7/5): overall we enjoyed the stay in our room and it satisfied the majority of our needs. - We byo breakfast. parking was great, kids park was great, shower pressure was great, For a family a shower curtain in the bathroom may be useful and reception on the TV could of been better.
- Vickie (7/5): Good -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Owen (1/5): Bad -
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Greg (5/5): Passable -
- Rahul (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): One night in Lochinvar - Great hotel and very good food and drink. Central place in Hunter Valley to stay after a long drive. Close to Hunter Expressway with fast access to Newcastle etc. Basic accommodation, comfortable with cereals and milk, coffee etc. supplied All good
- Andrea (3/5): I would not recommend this accommodation. - Our party liked nothing about this accommodation The rooms were smelly, tired, dated and beds uncomfortable. The bathrooms were sparse and dirty. We booked 3 rooms to stay after a wedding in Lovedale and 2 of the room guests refused to stay there and got transport back to Newcastle. Unfortunately for my husband and I there wasn't enough room in the transport or we would have gone as well.
- Paul (1/5): was unable to check in because it was closed - nothing the place was closed at 7:15 PM and unable to check in.No communication about the place being closed
- Kirra (2/5): Very poor - Nothing It was dirty, shower head didn’t work, tv didn’t work even with the rabbit ears they gave us
Bed sunk when you laid on it
- Sinead (1/5): Bad -
- Jill (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nathan (7/5): Good -
- Broole (6/5): Pleasant - The beds were really comfortable The fact I didn't have any where to make coffee or tea and the fridge was to small
- Peter (3/5): Poor - Food okay Room not made up ,crawling with cockcroaches.......Large mice traps laying everywhere.
- Bill (8/5): would stay again if back in the area - Staff were excellent
- Matti (7/5): Good -
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Wendy (1/5): Location n staff were wonderful but felt very unsafe knowing the door didn’t lock n having my daughter n granddaughter w - Location Door didn’t lock
- Kapoor (8/5): Great location - Wonderful Pub - Excellent value for money! - Didn't actually have breakfast. The small items in the room were okay. I think there was a gap under the door to the room.
- Kim (6/5): Pleasant -
