Guest Reviews
- Tony Roscoe (10/5): Great villa in a good location, lovely pool and very spacious both inside and out. - The villa is really nice, lots of room and a lovely annex. The pool and surrounding area is really good and gets the sun most of the day. Really good location only 5 mins from supermarket and bars but in a quiet spot. Loved the convenience of the side gate to save 5 mins going round, but no path means walking over dusty stones and rocks.
- Wesley (9/5): Lovely stay would consider staying again if new sun loungers or cushions provided ! - The property was really spacious for 4 people, kitchen was new, pool area lovely The sun loungers are not very comfortable and the beds were really hard, asked for more pillows which were bought to the villa !
- Victoria (9/5): -
- Sonia (6/5): - The space. Only 1 sunlounger out of 3 as 2 were ripped and there was 4 of us .told owner ,someone came to look but didn't replace them.only enough hot water for 1 shower. Not enough kitchen utensils.no remote for tv in sun room.2 single beds were really uncomfortable. Shower in downstairs bathroom was really really small.

- alison (7/5): Good enof, Poor price 4 having to keep the Villa on past checkout tome - Locations great comfy beds Downside no aircon so couldn't visit in summer, kitchen area & living area was like a black hole. No lable lamps which mind have helped, shutter windows locked can't b opened therefore constantly dark inside, dark wallparer also drew the place in. With that being said I would recommend it 4 a pleasant stay
- Craig (10/5): Lovely holiday and great hosts brilliant - Was quiet and really nice . Lack of air con.was far too hot inside.i would definitely stay again but maybe in cooler months. But the pool would be too cold in cooler months. The pool was lovely but only because was so hot outside but if was cooler the pool would be too cold, maybe a heated pool could improve the villa too
- Marc (7/5): Villa Marla review - Very large villa, location good. 5 minute walk to near the aquarium where there are bars and shops or approx 15 mins to the main section near the square. Very easy to check in and out with the keysafe. Lovely outside area with plenty of sun in the day for sunbathing. Really could do with a heated pool to make this an excellent villa, a few cockroaches inside the house at night chirping away and popping in and out of the woodwork but id imagine they are difficult to monitor and keep at bay. Water does run out fast on showers so you have to be quick.
- Andrew (7/5): A decent villa for the price in a good location, with a deep clean and some new upstairs and outdoor furniture could be - Good location, private and good downstairs socialising space. The furniture upstairs and also outdoors could do with replacing as it is either old/broken (but useable). The Villa is only really suitable for 4people as the spare beds don’t really fit anywhere upstairs and the mattresses were filthy. The pool was cold and could do with a pool cover to help with this and also to keep dirt/leaves from nearby trees out of the water.
- Mick (9/5): Excellent Villa, comfortable and great location. - A large property well located for all local amenities. A 15 minute walk sees you right at the centre of sea front bars and restaurants. The local supermarket and another group of restaurants is only 5 minutes to walk to. The Property is excellent, clean and well furnished to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Great communication throughout with access details and local information, also offering a fridge shopping service ahead of arrival. Highly recommended!
- Martijn (5/5): Passable - The location of the property is good and easy to reach. It's spacious, with a lot of Supermarket and beach are nearby. Pool was a bit too cold to use when we were there (no heating). For the price one can expect the house to be a lot better maintained and cleaned. Some examples: the couch is quite dirty, and there was a good amount of dust inside the house. There are a lot of areas in the house that need maintenance, like loose outlets, cracks in the shower and tiles, lamps that are not working etc. The bathrooms REALLY need an upgrade if you charge this amount of money, and it was difficult to judge this beforehand from the picture(s). Also there's no proper oven (only a small microwave oven) and the dryer was not working properly. The door to the extra bathroom could not be opened, only after they sent a maintenance person. The garbage bin was not were the information sheet said it would be. We asked for restaurant recommendations but didn't really get a response. It would have been nice to have at least somebody meet you.
- Steve (8/5): Very good - Location great, lovely villa. Kitchen equipment was lacking. Pool was ice cold.
- Duncan (10/5): Exceptional - The property was very comfortable and in a good quiet location.
if you like walking the shops were 5 minutes away and 10 minutes to the
seafront. The host was very helpful and would highly recommend.
- Gerwyn (10/5): Fantastic villa !!! - Superb location, great communication, and a fantastic villa for the week !! A little stroll away from the centre of CT , perfect for our week !
- Craig (8/5): Would return :) - Beautiful property Could do with a WiFi extender upstairs
- Sewell (6/5): Unfortunately disappointed with the villa for the cost. - The location is good, around 5 minutes from a Spar shop and a couple of bars and then around a 15 minute walk to the square.
The villa is spacious with a living room seating/ dining area as well as the pool and seating area. It’s fairly private apart from the neighbour walking his dog right past the wall.
There’s two bathrooms which makes it a bit easier when there’s a few of you.
There are two decent sized bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 singles and pull out beds underneath.
The villa does have WiFi which is a decent speed. I did a quick test and got around 150mb.
There is a smart TV in the living room with the usual apps installed. We thought we also had Netflix until it stopped working and can only think it must’ve been the previous guest that stayed logged in. Still decent though.
We had chocolate bars left with our towels and a bottle of water left in the fridge which was nice.
There is also an barbecue near the pool. The pool was dirty when we got there. I think that for the price we paid at least the pool should’ve been clean when we arrived. There is a net and a pool vac there which I would’ve done myself (even though I shouldn’t have to) but no idea how to use it.
The pool was freezing. I don’t think it’s advertised as being heated but it was too cold to enjoy. We went at the start of July. There is an old disconnected heater that looks broken next to the pool.
The water heater for the villa is far too small. You cannot have multiple showers on after another as the water heater is tiny. This makes it pretty hard when everyone wants a shower in the evening before heading out. Even having a short shower you can only manage a couple then you have to wait for it to reheat.
The utensils and plates, cups etc were not properly clean. The knives and forks even had food smears on them where they were wiped.
There was no welcome pack. I think it would be nice to have a pack that tells you about general things in the villa such as what to do with rubbish, the WiFi password (underneath the router) and maybe just a little information on what’s near by etc.
I was unaware but in Lanzarote (and maybe Spain in general, really not sure) they don’t seem have bins collected like we do in the uk. It seems to be that you have to take your rubbish to a local large bin. I asked the host where this was and they did write back pretty quickly with a screenshot of a map where we take the bins. Unfortunately there wasn’t any bin where they showed on the map so we ended up putting it in a public bin. In fairness to the host I never wrote back. We ended up taking the rubbish to a bin near cactus jack bar which is a fair trek to be walking with a large rubbish bag.
The table in the seating area was infested with tiny spiders so it was unusable. There were ants on the bench in the seating area.
It could do with a new kitchen. The current one is dark and a little dingy.
- Katherine (10/5): Fantastic will definitely be back - The villa was fantastic in a great location and had all amenities you could think of. Any question or issue we had they were very quick and responsive and sorted any problems out within minuites. The villa was very clean Nothing
- Jacqueline (6/5): Reasonable location but needed some care and attention. - The location was fairly close to a supermarket, bars and restaurants.
The bed was comfortable. The villa was an end terrace in a residential courtyard area, unfortunately the neighbours had two dogs that barked and cried when left on their own.
The kitchen equipment was very minimal. One wine glass. One chopping board.
Some of the blinds in the conservatory area were broken and some of the chairs at the table in the conservatory were wobbly, risky to sit on.
- O’brien (9/5): Superb - The room in the house was fab, but you were aware of 3 kids in the booking and the 3rd bed wasn't made or proper sheets provided. Having everything on the TV was great and the large fridge was great. We felt very secure in the villa and loved the location. The pool wasn't heated, atleast give someone the option to pay more to heat the pool, it was not possible to use it and my children tried our holiday would have been perfect if we had that. The second TV was not connected to any aerial and we used the washing machine that was great but the dryer didn't work properly
the drum didn't move no matter what setting.
- Edel (8/5): Very good -
- Veronica (10/5): Beautifully charming villa 💞 - Pool area is fabulous.
Villa is absolutely charming .
The owners are extremely helpful and literally answer any messages within minutes and nothing is too much trouble.
Location is great , 5 minutes to spar and local bars and restaurants (La Otra, Mar Azul , Cactus Jacks etc ), 15 minutes to 'the square' . It's a residential area and felt very safe , I wouldn't normally go walking on my own when we're away but happily went out for an hours walk each afternoon with my audio book playing on my headphones!
It's self check-in & out which was extremely simple due to the instructions given a few days before arrival. Having to leave to come home. . . 😔
- Marj (8/5): Very good - Access to villa earlier than 3pm check in, Lovely villa, Well equipped, great location. All queries were responded to whatever the time of day... Booked return taxi for us to airport Instructions/ directions for bins/rubbish would be useful along with cleaning the pool. A sign as a reminder to unplug all appliances when going out for the day may also be useful. All minor issues. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday.
- Clive (10/5): Lovely stay, with great support from owners, with reference to extending stay, and arranging taxi for transfer to airpor - Lovely Villa great size and good facilities, tv’s, WiFi, sun beds, pool, great rustic conservatory, giving the downstairs big open rooms. Lovely quiet location, with short walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Overall great place for a nice family holiday. Pool wasn’t clean during the time there, we did clean the leafs and bugs in the water with the net, but it could of done with a water hoover to thoroughly clean the bottom, and the water level looked like it needed a top up.
- William (5/5): Passable -
- Leanda (9/5): lovely villa , good location, excellent communication from host - good location roughly 17minutes walk to the centre (there is other restaurants and spar shop not even 5 min walk away)
there is good communication from the host (the mot holidays) we got a text when we landed to say villa was ready early and if we needed anything or wanted any information to let them know.
we asked for a taxi to be booked to take us to the airport and they did this no issue
also on our last day we locked ourselves out the villa (door slammed shut while we was sunbathing and our baby was asleep inside) we forgot to take the keys out with us and the door locks when it shuts. we were absolutely horrified Because there was no way of getting in ! I rang mari who came down straight away with the keys(they were the wrong keys but she quickly sorted it and another lady brought the correct keys to our rescue. luckily our baby slept through it all and was none the wiser to what had happened ! we are so thankful to mari coming to our rescue!
lovely pool (pool guy came to clean it again during our stay)
also a cleaner came to do a mini clean during our stay only 1 plug for sink and bath , this probably wouldn’t be a problem for most people but because we have a baby he needed a bath every night so did become abit of a faf.
beds wasn’t very comfortable but I don’t ever think they are when you go abroad.
bathroom and kitchen wasn’t very modern but for the price we paid I wouldn’t say this was an issue.
would recommend a welcome booklet with information about where to empty bins, what’s in the area etc
the pool area is in the sun majority of the day , this isn’t an issue but could possibly do with more shade putting up as there is only 1 umbrella
could do with a second set of keys by the front door as there is 1 set near the gate in key safe for when you first enter the villa , but if there was a second set near the front door in another key safe you would then be able to get back in if the door did slam shut like what happened to us (obviously was our own fault for not taking the keys out) but we can’t be the only ones this has happened to as obviously it’s a silly mistake. but by doing this suggestion it could easily be resolved
- Trevor (10/5): great stay, great price, great property. The property management team stayed in touch throughout the week via Booking.co - The property had everything we needed for a holiday, it was clean and well presented. the pool area was an excellent addition. No faults at all.. great property, great price.
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Iain (8/5): We had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday in a lovely location - Self catering. Very comfortable, private, relaxing villa. in a good location. Nice private pool but cold in March - no heating available. We also enjoyed using the barbeque, the owners supplied charcoal etc.. Security was good. Local supermarket (SPAR) small but had usual essentials. It would have been good to have a welcome pack with information regarding rubbish bin locations etc. we had to carry rubbish bags and empty bottles to a communal bin 100's of meters away. We didn't know when the cleaner was coming in so emailed the hosts, who got back to us quickly. It would also have been handy to have bus timetables and recommended taxi firm numbers -but we managed to get info online.
The kitchen was fine but had no oven.
The temperature was good for us in March but it might be hot in peak season with no air con.
The neighbours dog barked regularly, but the owners settled it quickly.
- Aidan (7/5): slightly underwhelmed , pics looked ace , but location and bad pick up experience slightly spolied ! - n/a self catering
location a little far away from main attractions pool was really cold and a little dirty
Front door didnt open
- Michael (9/5): Cosy Villa with everything on your doorstep - Nice Villa in a great location and easy to get around.
- Ovchar (10/5): Exceptional -
