- Susan (5/5): Disappointed. The caravan was sold as a chalet/lodge. The fishing facilities were poor. - The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I felt disappointed with the accomodation - I thought I was booking 2 lodges/chalets. The photos when I was searching did not differentiate between any of the accomodation on the site. There was a gallery of photos for all the accomodations. It was only when the confirmation email came through naming that I'd booked 2 Sheratons (caravans) that I realised. They were also called chalets on the Booking.com webpage.
The facilities in the caravan were low quality, the cutlery was mismatched and cheap; the seating had broken zips and was dirty in some areas; there was no basic cleaning cleaning equipment like a sweeping brush and mop. Although towels were provided they were small and barely covered any of the adults (and we are average size). It was obvious the outdoor seating area and seating hadn't been cleaned recently. There were no cushions for the outdoor chairs. Overall the caravans were dated.
Also I was expecting more from the environment, afterall it's called Barlings COUNTRY PARK. There were a couple of grassed areas which were pleasant. The open ground nearest to our caravans was like a ploughed farmers field, not at all safe to walk across and very unsightly as was the caravan storage area. There was sewage in the waterway along the dog walk emanating a strong smell.
Because of the photo gallery and name of the park, I was expecting some wooded, leafy areas to enjoy rather than uncared for lakes and uncultivated land. I feel misled by how this site and accomodation was promoted.

- Michael (8/5): Very good - The accommodation was lovely and location at front of lake. 10 minutes from anywhere, quite and gated Had problems with heating and hot water on the last 24 hours as boiler develop a problem
- Trish (9/5): caravan was clean and warm - very clean and had a Xmas tree on arrival radiator didn’t work in bathroom
