Guest Reviews
- Tracie (9/5): Cosy and rustic - So cosy and had everything we needed. Lovely hosts, very hospitable. (Had milk and jam in the fridge for us for example and didn't mind our 2yo riding his bike around. Long dirt road! Can't have dog off the leash.
- Klara (8/5): Peaceful and humble, lovely hosts. - We liked the hosts, who were very friendly and offered some home made jams, feijoas, fish and milk. The place is well-stocked with basic needs like shower gel, tea, coffee, oats, cutlery etc. Very peaceful and quiet location. We liked the outdoor bath, so relaxing and romantic. We loved that we could bring our dog with us. Just the fact that the property is approx. 25 min drive from shops and restaurants and the 3km or so of gravel road. Also internet did not work, so we had to use our own hotspot and our data.

- Kip (10/5): Quiet, rural, relaxing stay - Loved the quiet location and peacefulness. Rustic country charm. Outdoor bath was great. Close enough to Raglan to explore the area whilst still being in a rural setting. Super friendly hosts and great communication. Being dog friendly was great too.
- Adam (10/5): We had a great stay our son loved seeing the pigs we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again excellent value for money. - Great comfortable little cottage well set up and really peaceful and relaxing.
- Christine (7/5): We enjoyed our stay here. Lovely morning walks down the road with lovely mountain view. - Had everything we needed. Comfortable to stay in.

- aaron (9/5): - The privacy and isolation. It was beautiful to be away in the quiet. Hosts were very respectful
- Nicola (8/5): Wonderful owners and a rural location - Rural location, wonderful owner who left us milk and eggs and showed us the orchard and pigs. We also enjoyed the outside bath ( there is an indoor shower)
- Gabriele (10/5): Außergewöhnlicher Aufenthalt in Wohlfühlatmosphäre! - Es war alles sehr gemütlich, die Lage war toll, es gab zwei nette Schweine mit neun Ferkeln und die Gastgeberin war extrem nett. Schön war auch der kleine Garten, den wir nutzen konnten.
- Megan (8/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Nice and private, quiet, comfortable and clean.
Nice little care touches, like local coffee, butter, milk.
- Te (10/5): Relaxing, quiet cottage - It was a great stay with Sue, she was so lovely and gave us fruit from her garden. We also met Wilma and baby pig who were super cute. The bath outside was amazing. I even used the bath in the rain and absolutely loved it. It's about 20 minutes from Raglan and we managed to get there easily and travel around the town.
Sue made some nice suggestions about what we could see in town.
We also went to the Wairēinga falls about 20 mins away from the cottage. They were stunning and only a 20 min walk to the bottom of the falls. We went when there was a break in the weather from the rain, so still doable and nice.
We left our jacket and charger there and Sue was kind enough to go out of her way to post it to us, we are really grateful for her kindness in doing this, that was very much out fault for leaving it behind.
All in all, with good manaakitanga we had a lovely, restful stay. There's nothing we didn't like, it was the perfect stay for us. We arrived at night and there's about 10 minutes of gravel road and windy before you get there, but it was still easy for us to find.

- Arnica (10/5): Perfect for our family including speedy the dog - Great place with personality, like the idyllic outside bathtub and thoughtful things to use in the kitchen, local coffee beans to make freshly ground coffee and daily fresh from the farm milk, jam, butter cubes. Close to beaches, Raglan town and Bridal Veil Falls.

- Lambert (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (9/5): Beautiful location. Great hosts. - Hosts were very accommodating. They brought us fresh homemade cheese, fresh eggs and locally sourced milk. Very friendly and helpful
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - In your review it states 12 minutes and you say a straight line from Raglan .. it’s more than 20 minutes on the road so that would be more helpful to others .
- Emma (10/5): Amazing hosts. Very friendly. Went above and beyond. Thanks for a great stay. -
- Michael (9/5): Great Little farm cottage - So peaceful and private ,enjoyed the personal touches like, the flowers, real milk, farm fresh eggs and fruit and veges. Host are warm and welcoming. The shower was a big step up into but I know the host would have sorted some thing if I asked bed was nice and firm but I'm a big softy. So not much really. More pros than cons.
- Komal (8/5): Overall a lovely stay with wonderful host, plenty of supplies and amazing views, - Sue was looking after us really well. She is an amazing host. The farm had pigs and cows too which kept my little one engaged. She was really hospitable and provided me with free jar of hee homemade Jam (Loved it so much).
It has lots of items and things to keep you entertained like board games, books, bbq, camping chairs etc. Linen and bedding was clean. Toiletries were supplied including first aid box. Breakfast options like milk, cereal, coffee , tea, sugar, oil, spices and pots and pans were all there. About 9km gravel road to get there was a bit of a challenge but worth the view. Can’t blame anyone, but since the property is surrounded by bushes and grass all over so lots of insects like cockroaches, spiders and flying insects entered inside. But the owner had provided 2-3 repellent spray bottles to use. So no complaints!
