- Aleksandra (10/5): Great location - Very beautiful place! Lovely location with great staff. Good food but you need to be firm with vegetarian vegan food they have it just not keen to make it 😂
- Ayu (10/5): -
- Frank (6/5): - Het weer ;-)
- Frank (6/5): Colder place than expected - The staff was nice, kind yet a bit young and unexperienced, in my opinion. Mostly the weather, cloudy, rainy, cold!
We left early
- Mamanyabena (7/5): -
- Maciej (6/5): Good Location - The villa is close to the lake and to a hiking trail. The room was moist. It was difficult to dry clothes inside. Fungus was growing in the bathroom due to lack of ventilation. The furniture was in poor condition. Bedsheets had some random stains.
- Dorota (8/5): - cisza, czystość zimne noce ,brak dodatkowego koca

- Cameron (10/5): Very peaceful and relaxing place to visit. I want to spend more time there. - Beautiful interior and exterior architecture, nicely maintained gardens. Needed another quilt on the bed. It was cold there!
- Thilo (3/5): Hotel seems to cater mainly for local guests and has little experience with western guests. - No warm water in all 3 bungalows. After staff repaired the hot water system (so they said) there was still no warm water.
Though staff tried, the service was generally very basic and extremely slow and had no knowledge of the tourist area around them.

- Tushar (9/5): Superb -
- Helg (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was good and location was good to the places we were visiting.
- I (8/5): Comfortable. - Feel like back to nature and located right next to the lake. Feel like staff didn’t check the gas for the hot water, there still small details that need to be check when guests checking in.
- Annette (6/5): Pleasant - Adi was wonderful and so welcoming and helpful.
Rooms were nice. Thought location from maps was on lake, but it has no lake view as on other side. Damp smell.
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adèle (9/5): Cosy and comfy in a peaceful natural environment ! - The staff is very nice and helpful, dinner & breakfast were amazing, very quiet and beautiful place and neighbourhood, the rooms are beautifuly made and the beds are very clean and comfy ! After staying 2 night there, I definitely recommend. It's not a problem but you just need to know that the accomodation is not in the center (20 mn walk along the main road) and that you cannot walk that much near the lake.
- Theresia (8/5): Really enjoy our stay - Staff very helpful and the room is quite spacious Smell of toilet paper.
- Basile (6/5): Pleasant -
- Asmara (10/5): Wonderfull experience with family - Great place near from the lake, about 10 mins from the center. To get the place guest need to pay IDR10,000 for entrance fee due to located a t conservation area and only pay once for entire stay.
The breakfast was nice and the price is affordable compare to any place around. Staff were nice and give their best to make the stay awesome. None. Overall I’m satisfied.
- Julica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikhil (3/5): Bad odour in the room, not clean. Not at all worth the price. - Only the location is good, It is closer to the lake. Other than that, the stay only looks good to see but smells very bad. The staff were very friendly, I requested them to clean the room and remove the bugs and they did it immediately. The room smelled very bad. I was getting a variety of bad odour inside the room. Looks like these guys don't know how to run a stay. There is no fridge in the room, the sheets smelled bad, bed shelled bad and the entire room smelled bad. There are tiny cockroaches running around in the room. There were stains in the curtains, looks like it's was never cleaned. The bathroom was ok but it does not have ventilation. So all the bad odors from the toilet enters the room. I wouldn't prefer returning to this place ever again.
- Anna (9/5): Very nice cottages - Rooms are spacious
Staff is super friendly
Location is close to sights, but quiet Lots of flies, but it is everywhere in the north:) Perhaps flies shield would be a good idea.
A small window in the bathroom would be great too
- Janneke (10/5): A very nice, quiet, peaceful, relaxing place - The bed was really good. The place itself was very clean and cosy. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice and are doing everything to make your stay unforgettable. There were a lot of flies in the cabin, which could easily be solved by installing some fly catchers in the room. The coffee that was provided and made by the staff was not the best, but the coffee you get in the room (in small sachets )was much, much better. Other than that, nothing was bad
- Antheun (8/5): Very good -
- Dirk (8/5): Very good -
- Jodie (5/5): This property has more learning to do before it accepts guests. - The gardens were lovely.
Mattress was comfortable. The signage for the property is minimal, so it was hard to find.
The family villa has a bedroom and a cell with no door for the second bedroom.
Mosquitos are a problem.
Hot water didn’t work until we asked it to be fixed (twice). We witnessed the same problem for other guests staying too.
The bathroom had no ventilation.
There were no additional blankets to use if required.
We had to ask for the correct number of towels, glasses etc so each guests staying was catered for. Even then, there were not enough to be provided then, so we didn’t receive any until the next day.
Dropping from insects/lizards that live in the thatched roof were all over the bed.
Two of our group got sick from eating food at the onsite restaurant. Food handling, storage and preparation needs to be improved or this will continue to reoccur with guests.
Items on menu were not available.
Restaurant didn’t open on time.
Food took a long time to be served.
Other guests staying were above the capacity of the amount allowable for each room. They were noisy until late in the evening and then again early in the morning, even when we requested them to be quiet. No consideration of other guests (and these were Indonesians!) Staff did not intervene on our behalf, but were aware.
Staff are too young and inexperienced to overcome challenges independently. There needs to be a manager onsite to provide leadership.
- Kristian (7/5): Happy with my stay overall. - Nice place with friendly staff. Close to the temple and botanical gardens so an ideal location to visit them. food at the restaurant is okay although portions were pretty small, especially the breakfast.
- Oskar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabriel (8/5): Very good -
- Giorgia (8/5): Amazing stay!! - We stayed at Navalia Villa for two nights and we were really happy with our stay!
The Staff is super friendly and helpful, they even helped us remove a spider from the room cause we were too afraid to do it on our own🤗
The room was nice and comfortable and the activities around the area are all reachable by scooter in 15-20 min.
You can also rent your scooter here for a good price! The room might need a little bit of attention in the corners but apart from that it was amazing
- Kelvin (9/5): Superb -
- Harcharan (9/5): Superb -
- Jillian (4/5): Disappointing - The staff tried very hard to be friendly and helpful This review is for the very old and probably the original villa. It is listed on booking.com as Twin. There are newer villas that look much better. There were no windows and ventilation was via a small hatch the door was also made of timber compared to the newer villas which were glass and with a view outside. The worst aspect of this villa was a bathroom with no ventilation Over the years the grouting had become dirty and full of grime. There was black mould on the ceiling It was not up to an acceptable standard Again the staff tried hard in the restaurant but an hour wait for a meal showed a lack of staff. Food basic
There is NO view of the Lake
- Stephany (8/5): Very good -
- Dan (9/5): Superb -
- Jasmin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haji (10/5): Exceptional - Room it’s very clean and stuff it’s very nice
- Niki (7/5): A new hotel which will get better and better. - We could walk to the lake easily, which was lovely. The bungalow had a lovely high arched roof. The restaurant was not really very together, but the place is new so I imagine it will all get better.
- Laura (10/5): Everything fantastic! I definitely recommend this accommodation. great place and staff! I will repeat! -
- Ton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kuiper-piek (6/5): Pleasant - Located very near lake That there was not a fan, so rather stuffy inside. No chair inside.
- Pramit (7/5): Nice and comfy for an overnight stay - The Villas look good and are comfortable
The staff is great
The lake is about 5 minute walk
Good food Bathroom didn’t have any ventilation
Limited food options
- Shehan (10/5): Perfect stay - Everything.. one of the best hotels I stayed in bali.. everything was perfect.. i came to know that they’ve opened recently and we were impressed.. the boy who welcomed us so friendly and he speaks English so well.. bathrooms/ room cleanness was 10 out of 10 Nothing much.. but I would suggest if they could update their room rate including the village entrance fee.. as we were bit surprised once we entered to the village where the hotel located and we had to pay 10k per person just to enter..
- Ton (9/5): Superb -
- Rasfarin (7/5): Good - Place was peaceful and serene. Good for couple but not with a family of five. Far from Bedugul center, feel isolated. Room was small.
- Aakanksha (9/5): New constructed hotel near the lake - Comfortable room No exhaust fan in the toilet
No view of the lake
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucie (8/5): Very good -
- Amelie (7/5): We liked our stay there but it wasn‘t exceptional. The staff was friendly and the rooms clean. - The staff was nice and the bungalow also cute. The location wasn‘t the best. Also the breakfast could be improved to make pancakes or omletts inclusive as well.
- Arek (7/5): A nice place in not so nice location - The staff were amazing - very polite, forthcoming and spoke English. We asked for our bungalow to be changed (for a smaller one but with a tighter roof, as we were afraid insects would be coming in) and they did it straight away. We ate dinner and breakfast onsite and both were good. If you want beer however, you need to bring your own. The room itself was good, clean, enough space and comfy beds. The place is a bit of work in progress, the bungalows are just in a narrow field, some are still being build. The location is not great. We came from Ubud to do sightseeing in the north of Bali and we could have just gone back instead of staying here to be honest, as you are in the middle of nowhere. From the property you can walk to a small shop or to the lake, anywhere else you would need to take a taxi or ride a moped. The nearby lake (5 mins) is lined with rubbish, which is very depressing - you can skip a visit to the lake altogether.
- Kairou (10/5): Exceptional - i like the environment/surrounding is so quiet, you can see so many stars in the night.
there is a walkable path just outside of this villa can walk around the lake
the staff and management are very friendly and super helpful
the food in their restaurant is the bomb, so good, i love their soto ayam so much
shower water is hot but a bit low water pressure the road is very dark there in the night and a bit confused to navigate
- Chris (7/5): Pleasant hotel with limited restaurant facilities - Don’t be offput by the building-site appearance of the parking area! Room very nice and tranquil. Staff very helpful. Food in restaurant mostly good, but limited menu The access road is controlled and ‘internationals’ are charged and entry fee of 30,000 rp each- the gate is less than 100m from the hotel
The hotel is across the road and down-hill from the lake- don’t expect lake views!!
Restaurant does not have beer on menu- helpful staff able to precure but at 100% mark-up price. Mee and rice dishes great but treat the desert menu with caution: Tried “roti” desert dishes- these turned out to be plain white bread, toasted and smeared with jam/ nutella…
Walk to town manageable but not very pleasant-can walk along the highway in reasonable safety of there is a foot path which winds mainly on lake side of the highway but is very messy
- Louise (10/5): Fabulous staff, great value for money, and great location - Very nice villas opposite a beautiful lake that you can access near the property. What stood out for me was the staff. Super friendly, always had my best interests at heart. Brought me food even when the restaurant was closed. So kind. They even helped fix my scooter! Will definitely if in the area. The landscaped gardens were beautiful too. Great value! And really nice shower wash and shampoo! Nothing
- Ira (10/5): Exceptional - The people and their hospitality were amazing. The place is quiet, in a very nice area near the Lake and Temple. Also it's surrounded by many great locations. The bed is awesome. Don't leave sweet food on the table in the room. Ants attack it straight away.
- De (7/5): Good - The host provided me with all the details before my arrival.
- Luiz (7/5): Good -
- John (6/5): Helpful staff let down by the restaurant. - The staff , very helpful with any request. Very limited menu , very slow service . Smoking allowed in the restaurant.
Tables not cleaned down.
8.00 am start to breakfast is too late.
Food was very unappetising even for those who were hungry.
- Allen (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): Amazing. - Brand new bungalows very comfy bedding and good showers, awesome location right near the trail hike up to mt Catur and right on the lake. Old strawberry farm turned into luxurious bungalows with amazing views.
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were exceptional!
So friendly, so helpful with everything we asked for. They really made the stay easy and enjoyable and were very accommodating.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Slept amazingly. They even provided me with a pedestal fan for some white noise to help me sleep better. My room didn't have hot water. I didn't mention this to them as I was only there 2 nights.
- Anthony (10/5): Outstanding - The staff were so warm and inviting. Our staff were truely the soul bali. We had to check out 🥺😢😭
- Aleksei (10/5): Exceptional - All was great! Place is calm and beautiful. Unfortunately we got sick and staff offered us Ginger tea, bananas, water for free None
- Nathalie (8/5): Just lovely. - The staff were so lovely and the beds were very comfortable. Such a peaceful place and right next to the lake. The bathroom was a little tired and the toilet roll holder was a bit close to the shower
- Robin (8/5): Very good - No hot water
- Dheny (9/5): Calming villa close to Beratan Lake - Calming and relaxing villa. Fresh and clean air. Breathtaking view of hill and forest with mist in the morning. Close to Beratan lake and Pura Ulun Danu Beratan. Very helpful staff.
Don’t hesitate to ask for additional request as the staff might give complimentary treats. No air circulation in the bathroom.
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Sasiorn (9/5): Hotel for rehab - Lake view is so stunning.,the fresh air from the mountain. Nothing, everything is good
- Sasiorn (10/5): Exceptional - Fresh air ,location is good Nothing, everything is good
- Shahyad (8/5): Cute little spot - Cosy spot , still getting built , little noise but all good They need a fan for the bathrooms ..
- Rathgalla (9/5): Superb - Comfortable villas.. Friendly staff who are very accommodating and helpful. Close to the lake. Morning walk 🚶♀️ ✨️ 💕. Beautiful scenery and good weather 👌
We will visit again Hot water had issues... no air-conditioning.
- Lisa (3/5): Too many flies - The staff was very helpful and accommodating. FLIES!!!!! Only there one night in January. The flies had us spraying our room with a lot of insecticide. They were so bad in the dining area we ate inside our room. Felt a bit trapped inside.
Also thought there would be a lake view from the property, wrong.
- Mulcon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Feancois (9/5): Near the lake and walking distance from botanical gardens. Enjoy some of the local living. - The view and comfortable rooms. None
- Ida (8/5): Would come back definitely - Breakfast was simple but delicious. Location is great
- Noor (10/5): Exceptional - unique place
- Kavitha (7/5): Great hotel off the beaten path - Nice villa and restaurant on site. Off the beaten path Hard to find transportation options in this part of Bali. Very difficult to get around and not touristy.
- Filipe (7/5): Good - Chilled place, a bit far away from the “center”. But with a scooter it’s ok. The bathroom had a chlorine smell since it hasn’t any windows to pass the air.
The breakfast included only fruits, coffee and nasi/mie goreng, the pancakes and fried banana was charged apart.
