- Klaus (1/5): Absolut nicht zu empfehlen - das grenzt schon fast an Abzocke. - - Mein Aufenthalt in diesem angeblichen 4-Sterne-Hotel war leider eine große Enttäuschung. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ließ deutlich zu wünschen übrig. Nach einer schlaflosen Nacht hatte ich mehrere Insektenbisse und vermute, dass diese möglicherweise von Bettwanzen stammen könnten. Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption war noch in Ordnung – zumindest hatte man sich, wenn auch letztlich erfolglos, bemüht. Beim Frühstück hingegen waren Freundlichkeit und Service praktisch nicht vorhanden. Das Frühstück selbst erinnerte eher an Fast Food: überwiegend Fertigprodukte, kaum frische Lebensmittel, vertrocknete Rühreier und lediglich lauwarme gekochte Eier. Mein Wunsch nach frischen Spiegeleiern wurde trotz vorhandener Küche und vorhandener Zutaten abgelehnt. Dazu kamen schmutzige Tische sowie ein muffiger und stickiger Frühstücksraum im Keller. Das Hotel wirkt insgesamt weder sicher noch professionell organisiert. Offenbar hat nahezu jeder Zutritt zum Haus, ohne dass kontrolliert wird, ob Personen tatsächlich Gäste sind. Wertgegenstände sollte man hier besser nicht unbeaufsichtigt lassen. Die Zimmer sind extrem klein und erinnern eher an eine Jugendherberge oder Abstellkammer als an ein 4-Sterne-Hotel. Besonders seltsam: Das Waschbecken befindet sich direkt im Zimmer statt im Bad. Die Beleuchtung am Spiegel ist viel zu schwach, um wirklich nutzbar zu sein. Dusche und Toilette sind separat, allerdings schließt die Toilettentür nicht richtig, wodurch unangenehme Gerüche direkt ins Zimmer gelangen. Zudem ist das Hotel extrem hellhörig – man hört nachts jeden Gast auf dem Gang und in den Nachbarzimmern. Besonders ärgerlich ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für zwei Nächte habe ich 879 EUR bezahlt und dafür ein winziges, schlichtes Zimmer ohne erkennbaren Service erhalten. Allein das Frühstück wurde mit 44,22 EUR berechnet – aus meiner Sicht völlig unangemessen für die gebotene Qualität. Zusätzlich wurde ohne vorherigen Hinweis kein Bargeld akzeptiert, eine Rech

- Reinhard (7/5): Gute Lage - deutlich zu teuer - Die Lage des Hotels ist für Bahntouristen sehr gut. Das Gebäude ist ein typisches Grachtenhaus (aber leider unsensibel und geschmacklos modernisiert). Es gibt für Gäste kostenlose Getränke an der Rezeption. Das Zimmer Nr. 8 hat zwar eine Duschzelle und Toilette im Zimmer, aber die Waschgelegenheit ist unabgeteilt mitten im Zimmer. Über andere Zimmer können wir nicht urteilen. Die Qualität des Frühstücksbuffets entspricht keineswegs den Erwartungen an ein 4-Sterne-Haus: insgesamt recht wenig Auswahl, Marmelade, Butter etc. in Mini-Plaste-Verpackungen, was viel Müll anfallen lässt. Wenig Frisches. Das Durcheinander an Dekostilen im Zimmer und an der Rezeption zeugt von wenig Geschmack und Sensibilität für Alter und Charakter des Hauses.

I booked the small room to avoid high costs, but was pleased to see that the perfect design of the room made it feel comfortable. One needs to be careful on a steep staircase, but that’s typical for the majority of Amsterdam hotels.

Front steps to entrance were challenging with suitcases. The drain stop in the sink did not work, so made it difficult working with contact lenses (did not want to lose them). Cost seemed quite high.

- LARISA (9/5): Nice and well located hotel - The location of the hotel is amazing. Close to everything The room that I booked for 3 people has a weird bathroom situation. The sink is in the room, the toilet has its own room but with a short door and no window so all the air from there comes in to the room. And the shower drain had a strong smell and it smells in the rooms too because again it doesn’t have a window or a sealed door.

- Zorica (9/5): Cozy, clean and comfy hotel close to the center of the city. - This hotel is very close to the city center and has a lovely curb appeal with many neighborhood restaurants and cafes around. It’s close to public transportation and shopping. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean, unique and comfortable. The only remark is to have pancakes everyday in the breakfast buffet.

- Matan Shiloah (7/5): - The hotel is in minutes walking from the main street and Dam Square. Really amazing location. Breakfast is simple but good. The shower in the room was great. The beds are not very comfortable, and the mattress of the single bed fall down from it if you are sleeping too close to the edge. The room is too small for a party of our size (2 adults and 3 children), and also is very difficult too carry all the bags and strollers up and down the stairs of the hotel entrance and to the dining room on -1 floor. I won't recommend people with small children to book this hotel.

Though it was very tiring and we had to pay double to shift to another hotel for just one night but we preferred to pay extra then to stay here. It ruined my vacation which was going great till last night. We did not sleep!!

- Flavia (9/5): Ótima opção no centro de Amsterdam - Localização no centro de Amsterdam e em frente ao tram e metro. Mas é tao no centro que nem usamos. Fizemos tudo a pé. Cama muito confortável, lençóis de ótima qualidade, travesseiros, silencioso. Dormimos muito bem. Ficamos bo quarto com vista pra cidade e nenhum barulho incomodou. Cafe da manhã muito bom também. Internet muito boa! O banheiro não tinha muita privacidade. A porta não veda bem barulhos, então vc ter bastante intimidade com seu parceiro de quarto. Mesmo assim, pra gente foi otimo.
- Annika (10/5): Tunnelmallinen ja siisti hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla - Herkullinen aamiainen. Hotellin kokonaisvaikutelma oli tyylikäs ja erittäin siisti. Juna-asemalta vajaa 15 minuutin kävely hotellille. Valpas-sertifiointi vaikutti eniten päätökseeni majoittua täällä; oli täysi varmuus siitä, ettei hotellissa ole luteita ja pystyin nukkumaan yöni rauhassa. Huoneessamme lavuaari sijaitsi makuuhuoneen puolella, mikä oli erikoista eikä kovin kätevää. Lavuaarin yllä oleva peili oli liian korkealla, jotta siitä olisi ollut apua meikkaamisessa. Ikkunat olivat aika ohuet, mutta hotelli tarjosi korvatulpat.
- Neil (9/5): Comfortable central location in the heart of Amsterdam staffed by friendly and helpful crew. - Room was clean and comfortable, though small, but that’s to be expected in a central location in Amsterdam. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast was generous and tasty.

- Rabia Figen (8/5): - Otel çalışanları çok nazikti. Oda çok temizdi fakat 3 kişi için maalesef çok küçüktü. Eğer tek gün değil de daha uzun kalıyor olsaydık konforlu olamazdık kesinlikle. Klima belli bir süreden sonra yeterliydi. Sadece odanın ısınması zaman alıyor o kadar. Misafir ikramları vardı stroopwaffle, çay kahve gibi çok tatlıydı. Lokasyon merkezi. Her yere yürüyerek gidilebilir. Lavabo çok küçüktü ve el yıkama yeri lavabonun dışında yatakların yanındaydı. Lavabonun içinde el yıkayamıyorsunuz ancak çıkıp yatağın yanına gidip orda yıkamanız gerek bu durum çok olumsuzdu. Etraf çok kolay ıslanıyordu çünkü. Eğer 1 gün kalıyorsanız düşünmeyin ama 2,3,4 gün kalışlar için rahatsız edici olabilir

- ettore (10/5): Bellissimo! - Posizione perfetta nel cuore di Amsterdam, ottima per raggiungere le principali attrazioni a piedi o con i mezzi (sopra la fermata della Metro ed a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione centrale!). Il personale è disponibile e cortese, presente h24. La colazione buona con tante varietà di dolci ed alcune cose che cambiano di giorno in giorno (unica cosa da migliorare la possibilità di avere diversi tipi di uova sul momento!). Nel complesso ottima esperienza.

- Waseem (5/5): - only the location the room was too much small, the sink was outside the bathroom area, the bathroom was too much small with open area to the room which can cause discomfort feelings to the partner in the same room, the price was too much expensive in comparing to the room

- Hans Martin (3/5): Nicht empfehlenswert - Lage, Personal, Dusche, Türverschluss, ein Glas Wein gratis Zimmer klein und unter dem Dach (in der Toilette muss man sich bücken). DAS BETT IST EINE ZUMUTUNG. MATRATZE VIEL ZU WEICH, SCHRÄG UND ÜBERHÄNGEND. ICH FIEL IM SCHLAF ZU BODEN!

Amsterdam is an expensive place to stay but Mr. Highland hotel reasonable value given it’s locati - It has a big lobby with comfortable seating to hang out between Amsterdam adventures. Free snacks and drinks in the lobby if you consume them there. Breakfast was fantastic. My room was small but adorable. Location is terrific, right next to the 52 Metro.
