Guest Reviews
- Xiaowei (8/5): -
- Leatitia (8/5): - Very cozy, neat and fresh. Owner was very respectful and friendly. Could do with a couch in small cottage. Or sleeper couch will also work.
- Marilize (6/5): - Location, quiet country atmosphere. It was good for my soul.
The host was friendly and the instructions clear. Bathroom does not have floor to ceiling walls, 1 chair at the table inside (we were 2 visitors), no TV, the main bed was very hard.
- Izaylia (9/5): -
- Opperman (8/5): - Nice area, safe Space around the double bed was small, but nice
- Juliet (9/5): We enjoyed the farmstyle life. - Not applicable Nil
- Antoinette (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay. The setting was very relaxing. Enjoyed having the animals around us. - The location was very good. Breakfast not relevant as it was self catering. The shelves were too close to the bed. Wi-fi did not work. No spatula in cutlery. Bathroom a little cramped. Heater would be welcome.

- Boonzaaier (4/5): Family Stay - The location was great, not far from the beach. It is a quiet place for relaxation.Loved that we could see the horses,my son loved it. The FLIES.Flies in house 1 was unbearable. We woke up to dead flies everywhere.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Die uitsig was pragtig. N swem bad en wifi sal baie meer gaste lok. None
- Shayla (1/5): Disappointed - Location of property is good. Pretty central to retail stores and restaurants in the area. We immediately checked out of the property after staying one night due to uncleanliness of the facilities and the pictures on Booking.com do not depict the property.
We were to stay a total of four (4) nights to enjoy a farm stay with my family for the Christmas holiday and we couldn't fathom the uncleanliness and ended up leaving after staying one night.
The braai facilities and pots were rusted and we couldn't cook dinner, the only couch in the house was filthy covered by a dirty blanket/throw, the whole place had a smell of mold/dampness, our bed linen wasn't clean and we itched throughout our sleep.
In addition, the pictures published on Booking.com do not depict the actuality of the facilities.
Unfortunately, we had to find another accommodation to complete our stay in the area for the Christmas holiday.

- Candice (9/5): Highly recommend - A truly beautiful place with stunning scenery and majestic horses all around. The friendly dogs added so much charm and the hosts were absolutely warm, welcoming, and helpful. Yes, there were a lot of flies (they clearly didn’t get the memo about personal space 😄), but we managed just fine and they definitely didn’t spoil our stay. An unforgettable experience overall, and we’d happily come back That we had only booked for a weekend

- Mentoor (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful and quite
The owner was very friendly and accommodative
- Marbi (10/5): Jacobs Bay trip - The facility was not as prescribed but great after all.

- Amy-ann (3/5): It was peaceful but not worth the money we paid for. - Loved the farm and horses and the peace and quiet. There wasn't any plugs for the sinks and basin in the house. I had to wash my baby with me in the shower. There was no dishwashing liquid to wash the dishes. The bathroom door handle was loose when we arrived and broke when i was in the bathroom and wanted to get out. Was almost stuck. I feel for the same amount of money i could've stayed in a house in town with a tv and wifi. I appreciated the no wifi but for the amount of money it was not worth it. And there were ants in our room all over the floor when we woke up the morning and nothing in the house to kill them.
- Susan (9/5): Superb - It was peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed watching the horses No complaints
- Noel (10/5): We wanted to stay longer but will definitely come back again 👍👍 - We loved it , it was so quiet and peaceful we loved the animals around us 😊😊 and the staff was friendly and helpful 😀😀 Nothing to complain about
- Prins (5/5): Disappointed - The location was great especially if you wanted to get away from the city. I was prepared to have a weekend on a farm & everything that goes with it like flies, dust & bugs. However I was very disappointed that the house itself was dirty. Under the beds was a thick layer of dust. It said deluxe house but there was nothing deluxe about it. When we arrived the electricity was off & there was load shedding. I tried calling the owner & sent a message but no response😡It wasn’t until my son went down to look for someone that they came to have a look. This was a 7 sleeper house but only 2 toilet papers a bit frustrating as it’s situated far from a shop. Overall had the place been clean & the owner more accessible maybe it would have been a better experience
- Nqayi (9/5): Superb - The accommodation was comfortable and very nice. Everybody on the farm was very friendly.
- Stephens (9/5): Superb -
- Naude (10/5): Amazing - The owner's and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The entire family (young and old) loved the horses and the friendly dogs. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere was just what we needed. We'll definitely be back. N.a
- Afrika (9/5): Superb - More pillows the lack of curtains causing the sun to shine into the room, if you are someone that wants to sleep late it might be a problem.
- Charlot (7/5): Good -
- Carlu (8/5): Really loved to braai on there stoep and apreaciated the farm feeling and quiteness of the farm, staff are really friend - We liked the farm feel of the property and all the horses and animals were a big bonus. Also the location is spot on as it is close to a lot of different towns and quite central There were a couple of bugs and spiders, we don’t normally have a problem with insects but just not like to have them near when sleeping as it makes you a bit uncomfortable
- Asemahle (7/5): Good -
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gregory (8/5): Very good -
- Marina (10/5): 10 out of 10, will book again! - The location was perfect, we went to a wedding just up the road. It was clean, neat, and just what we needed. Upon arrival we were received warmly. The beds were comfortable and the shower refreshing. The farm is incredibly well kept and neat. Beautiful surroundings! Unfortunately we had to check out a day early, as issues at home had to be addressed. Jacques James phoned us awake at 7:00 and knocked on the door at 8:00 to enquire if we were sleeping well. 😂 But he was super kind and sucha great.
- Bandile (9/5): Superb -
- Faiza (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nkosingiphile (10/5): Exceptional - The environment was very quiet and lovely, very clean, huge space for the family. Had every facility that made us to feel at home. Nothing
- Adele (4/5): Great location but a bit disappointing - The location and view. The bedding was excellent. The beds were ok and warm enough during the cold spell, which was great. It was great that the DeLuxe unit had a fire place, which we used, and an indoor braai. It was convenient that the host could sell and deliver wood for us. The toilet leaked a lot. There was no oven, and one was listed, the kitchen was not very well equipped. The bathroom was not clean.
- Van (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (8/5): Great, relaxing stay with friendly staff and animals 😁 - Loved the green spacious scenery with farms animals grazing in the distance and horses roaming around on the farm but minding their own business.
Very friendly host.
The cottage is comfortable. An oven in the standard cottage may be useful. In addition a fireplace would take it to the next level.
- Christel (10/5): Perfect breakaway. - My daughters and I had an unforgettable weekend at the horse farm! We felt like we were visiting long-lost friends from the moment we arrived. The host's warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home.
The horses were absolutely magnificent, and my daughters loved every moment spent riding and caring for them. The farm's dogs were just as charming, adding to the joyful atmosphere with their playful antics.
The peaceful surroundings and the close connection to nature provided a much-needed escape from our busy lives. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and eager to return. This place is truly a gem for anyone looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
- Petra (10/5): We had a pleasant stay as a family. - It is centrally located to visit several beaches. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
- Savanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dineo (8/5): Very good -
- Eb03 (7/5): Good -
- Cyrlita (10/5): Exceptional - I liked the horses greeting us in the morning. A mom and her filly. The fresh air in the mornings were great. I especially loved the quiet. The pitbull roaming around. Im scared of pitbulls. Shame nothing against the poor dog. A beautiful animal.
- Melanie (4/5): Disappointing - The farm with the horses It wasn't cleaned properly before we got there. Oven was dirty, spider webs in cupboards in kitchen. Place for clothes but no closed closet space. Not a place where you can stay for a week. Shower open in bathroom with no partition.
- Noncedo (9/5): Excellent stay. - It is a self-catering property in a very cool area.
The rooms are clean I loved them.
We enjoyed our time and definitely coming back again given a chance.
- Pieter (10/5): Exceptional - The wonderful birdsong and variety of birds. The majestic horses and dogs, the quiet and peace in the West Coast and the excellent hosts. That we could stay for only 6 days.
- Eddie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ntsane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victor (8/5): Good -
- Phillipson (10/5): The Phillipson's on Vacation! - Wiggins is Central to everywhere we wanted to go. For people coming from a farm in North West we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Jacques James was very accommodating and very friendly. The unit had everything we needed for Self catering and was very neat and tidy. Cant wait to see the new improvements he is busy with.
- Magilo (3/5): not good at all. - nothing, to much files. to hot, no aircon, and to many files.
- Sasha (9/5): A lovely farm stay ✨ - The place was amazing. We truly enjoyed it.
We had access to the stables and got to interact with the horses on site.. there was also horses infront of our place and all sorts of animals. We loved it. They’re just starting out.. so we understand that most of the essentials they don’t have. The shower water was cold and we struggled to get warm water.
There was also no salad bowls, tin opener or a proper non stick pan provided for us… other than that everything was amazing. We can’t wait to go back 🙂
- Peter-john (7/5): Good - The farm setting and the quietude. Felt intimidated by the owners dogs. Didn't feel you were free to explore the surroundings on foot.
- Gerald (7/5): A very peaceful and calm environment with polite and friendly hosts - The hosts are amicable and welcoming - JJ is very nice.
The environment is peaceful and quiet
The location is great There is a major issue with flies
The bathroom could be improved
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacques (9/5): Superb -
- Langley (2/5): Very poor - The view and fresh air. Cleanliness was our main problem and the fact that it is on a farm flies were everywhere.
- Ilhaam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lupe (7/5): Good -
- Grey (9/5): Superb - Clean. Quite. Cosy
- Athi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monique (8/5): it was awesome. - here was no breakfast included. the Host Jcques-James is very accommodating friendly and down to.earth. he took time out to.come have a leaker chat with us which made it feel like were staying with a friend. I will definitely love to return soon. wouldn't mind a kohl kohl or dipping pool to take in that spectacular view we were afforded from.the front stoep nothing
- Heinricho (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eric (9/5): Excellent - Location excellent. Did not book breakfast No Wifi available
- Amy (9/5): It was a very relaxing experience with the farm animals that were freely moving on the property. - My colleagues and I liked the privacy and the friendliness of the hosts. We were allowed to check out a bit later as there were no guests checking in the same day as our check out. The 2 plate stove can be upgraded to a more modern one and a better non-stick pan to be provided. More cutlery like better knives and a tin opener should be added to the house. More dishwasher could have also been provided to do the dishes.
- Van (8/5): It was a just what we needed Quietness and enjoying the rest -
- Santa (9/5): Superb - It was a real farm feeling .The horses and sheep came to visit and we especially enjoyed the privacy of our own little house .The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming .Recommended if you want to break away from tv , hustle and bustle.
- Dalene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bota (10/5): Fantastic! - The location was exactly as given. The houses were exactly what i needed for a gateway!
- De (7/5): Good - The view and the animals that run around. Horses, cows and sheep. Very peaceful No WiFi but I understand it’s a new self catering apartment
- Liabunya (8/5): What a wonderful place it is. Weekend was so awesome 👌 - Welcomed us so well even though we arrived late at night. Loved every little thing about this wonderful farm.
- Tommy (10/5): we love it, will definitely go back there - the location is well situated, the view exceptional, its quiet and calm, peaceful, my kids loves it, i would actually go back there. i love the scenery and the peacefulness of the location, its just what my family needs, my kids loves it... they were free to walk and play around ,its absolutely great to stay.
