• Lydia (9/5): Very comfortable and much more spacious than expected - We were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the accommodation and it was spotless. Communication by SMS with Fiona, the host, around arrival and departure was excellent. She had provided a welcome pint of milk and some biscuits. A very nice gesture. Reading the guest book, it looks like the place has been visited by many people over the years, with many of them returning again and again and delighted with the place. The maisonette overlooks the harbour and is within walking distance of all facilities in Stornaway (shops, cafes, art centre etc). Good kitchen facilities although the cabinet doors will require attention soon as they are delaminating. We had no problem (end of April / beginning of May) parking on the street outside the accommodation every night. As we were on an extended trip, we had to do some laundry (which we did at the flat) but there was no clothes horse to dry our load. We took it to a local launderette to use their driers. It is a minor point though.

• Yvonne (10/5): Gemütliche grosse Unterkunft an sehr zentraler Lage! - Die Unterkunft war gemütlich und komfortabel. Die zentrale Lage und die tolle Aussicht auf den Hafen waren topp. Dort waren neben unzähligen Möwen und Fischerbooten auch Kegelrobben zu sehen. Gleich bei der Unterkunft gab es 2-3 Pubs und viele Einkaufsgeschäfte.

• Daniela (10/5): Flat spacious and with lot of light, we loved it. - It is located in an historical building. Everything was exceptional: spacious, comfortable, well equipped, in good location, clean, everything well functioning. When entered we found fresh milk and biscuits to make us a welcome tea, and a local magazine with the events of the month. The owner was very helpful in everything. We had the impression that the place was very new, but a look at the guest book told us about years of experience and happy guests. We hope we’ll be back. The parking is not really a private parking. There is a courtyard with some parking spaces, but there is no one reserved for the flat, so we often had to park in the street just in front. This was not a problem at all for this time of the year (Easter holidays) but it could be a problem during the most busy season.

• Anita (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable apartment in a central location. The flat is bigger than it looked from the photos. We enjoyed looking out over the harbour, and could easily walk to cafes etc in Stornoway. Fiona was very helpful.
• Linda (10/5): Very comfortable central apartment with excellent views. - This was a comfortable and very well appointed and equipped self catering apartment. It is in a central area with good views. Appreciated the biscuits and milk which were left for us. It would have been helpful to know that the bathroom was downstairs.
• Vivienne (9/5): Wonderful and the host Fiona was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. - Location, views, spaciousness, quality linens and very comfortable bed. The TV setup was a bit challenging for me and given the high standard of everything else perhaps time for a Smart TV with Netflix?
• Heather (9/5): Wonderful! Already thinking of booking again for next year! - The flat was wonderful. It was very comfy and clean and the location was superb. You could not have wished for more, with the handiness of town, ferry, view and in our case, church. There's nothing we didn't like really. Could have done with a bit more lighting in the kitchen especially over the sink area, and better oven gloves. It was difficult getting things in and out of the oven with what was there. Our bedroom door didn't stay shut properly but with the door wedges, it wasn't really a problem. None of these things were a game changer for us at all, just some little tips that could make it into an exceptional space!

• Lionel (10/5): Highly recommended - I can't recommend this property highly enough. It is in an excellent location at the end of the quayside in Stornoway within walking distance of just about anything you would need. It is also just a 3 minute drive from the ferry terminal. The apartment opens onto an inner courtyard with parking. One flight of stairs leads up from the courtyard to the apartment door. The property itself is exceptionally well equipped, particularly the kitchen. I only used the one double bed but it was really comfortable. Communication with the host (Fiona) was excellent before and during the stay. She went out of her way to deal with a schedule change that was imposed on me by an airline. I would definitely put this property at the top of the list for consideration in any future visits to Stornoway. Nothing
• Andrew (9/5): 3 days felt to little time.to explore thie isle - Perfect location, to visit the Isle of.Lewis & Hsrris, near the Car ferry terminal & city sites! Close to Castle but.quiet! The summer festival closes at 9pm, outside windows.expected.to be noisy! Was quier! Recemnned visiting the Isle of lewis & Hareis! this location perfect spot to do this! Everything here, stove, oven, microwave! Good storage/spaces
