• Maria (10/5): Fantastic stay! - The property was very clean, comfortable, and the hosts are exceptional. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and for us to feel comfortable during our stay. Maria (the host) made sure to have a night chair for my bat for breakfast. Guy (the host) gave us a bucket for my bat to go play on the beach. I wish I would have spent more time there. And the breakfast was fantastic! There is absolutely anything to complain about this property.

• Lorena (9/5): Herzliches Whitianga - Die Vermieter waren sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie haben uns ganz viele Tipps gegeben, Spielsachen für unsere Tochter und Handtücher für den Strand. Wir hatten die Möglichkeit zwei Kajaks auszuleihen, das war super. Es war sehr sauber und ordentlich und das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich mit einer großen Auswahl und sehr lecker. Man erhalt alles was man sich wünscht. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich. Vielen lieben Dank für die schöne Zeit! Es war alles super

Maria and Guy are absolutely lovely, they simply can’t do enough for you. Great breakfast, we loved it. If we come back to this part of the world, we will stay here again in a heartbeat.
• Debra (10/5): Lovely stay. Amazing breakfast a nice surprise. - Everything. Room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of very thought out details to make our stay comfortable. We were booked to stay 3 nights here, but due to road closures and a natural disaster happening in the region we were unable to reach this accommodation until our last booked night. Wish we had more time to enjoy the hospitality provided by Maria. The breakfast provided was top notch and Maria was very keen to make sure we had everything we needed. Lots of good advice offered to make our short stay as memorable as possible. Nothing all brilliant. Highly recommend. But note that the outdoor stairs down to the bathroom for our room may be off putting for some, but we found this to be no bother at all especially as it was our own bathroom.
• Yusuke (10/5): Warm, welcoming, and unforgettable - We spent three very comfortable days here and truly enjoyed our stay. We will never forget the wonderful breakfast—far more than we could possibly finish—with fresh eggs, vegetables from Maria’s own garden and local produce, fruit, smoked salmon, mussels, muffins, and more. For those who love Studio Ghibli films, the attic room might remind you of where Kiki lives in Kiki’s Delivery Service. It was furnished with two very comfortable and spotlessly clean beds. Access to the bathroom is via an external stair, but this caused us no problems at all. We believe that staying at this B&B and enjoying conversations with the hosts, Guy and Maria, is reason enough to visit Whitianga. Our two children were also incredibly excited and keep saying it was an unforgettable stay. Thank you, Guy and Maria, for your warm hospitality and for making our stay so special.

Das Zimmer war hervorragend ausgestattet, geräumig und es gab jeden Tag frische Handtücher und Wasser. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich – es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Vielen Dank, liebe Maria, für den großartigen Service! Eine absolute Empfehlung – hier fühlt man sich einfach wohl!

Host was so thoughtful and attentive- making a great breakfast and giving us towels to take to the beach! The only thing was the shower room was a separate building and it stayed very wet in there. However we were offered a different room inside the main house that had a bathroom but we were happy with our room!

• Bronwyn (10/5): Feel like a treasured guest! - Just the loveliest place to stay! The charm of the studio room and the setting along the stream at the back of the property was only superseded by the warm welcome of our hosts Maria and Guy. From the minute we arrived, we were looked after like family with hands-down, the best breakfasts in NZ. We took the kayaks out paddling one morning which was just divine and highly recommended. If you want to feel like a valued guest and not just an anonymous traveller, this is the place to go. Hard to fault anything!
• Sarna (7/5): Cosy stay, though with issues. - We liked the high degree of cleanliness in the accommodation. The hosts Maria and Guy were both very welcoming, helpful and cordial in their behaviour towards us. Biggest drawback, which could be purely personal to us, was that the washroom was on a different level and one has to go through the open-to-elements stairs down to the washroom. We normally make 3-4 nocturnal visits to washroom in the night. The details provided on the website didn't clearly mention that washroom was detached and on a different level.

• Patrick (10/5): Exceptionally good experience - The owner Maria hit the sweet spot between giving privacy whilst taking exceptional good care of us. The facilities where perfectly in shape and clean. It's been like staying at a 5-star hotel.
