Guest Reviews
- Mamarazzi2409 (9/5): Ein Platz im Paradies đŽđ - Traumlage, eigener Strand, Ruhe, groĂer Pool, sehr nettes Personal. Extra fĂŒr uns ein Lovo-Essen vorbereitet. Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub! Schlechtes Internet im Zimmer, Kaffeemaschine leider defekt.
- Jones (7/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): Absolute peace and quiet in a tropical rain forest by an incredible beach. Beautiful small resort that gave us exactly w - The location was incredible. So lush in the rain forest and a very short stroll down to the beach. The villa with the pool was large, spacious and clean with great air con and very private. The restaurant and pool were great with incredible view of the ocean.
The included breakfast was simple but perfect for our needs with fresh fruit also. The dinners were delicious, we thought lots of variety and so fresh and tastes!
The snorkeling was amazing! You must venture over the sea grass to the crystal clear channel about 50m from the shore. The Mosquitoes were not as dramatic as I have read. Walking along the beach as far as you can on low tide is a must. Lots to see. Walking up the road and down through Crusoes, stopping for a beer was our before dinner work out with amazing views!
Seriously, all the photos you see are what it really looks like. I like the independence you get where you are left to have peace and quiet and if you need something you just ask, but I would prefer a bit more room service for cleaning or offering to sweep and refresh all towels. I didnât want to bother the staff so much so I didnât ask for much. I know they would be happy to help though.
The only disappointing thing I could say is the kayaks were so old they were full of water and so so heavy and we were actually concerned they may sink. Some brave guests did take them out though.
You can hire the ones from the resort next door if you want.
- john (10/5): If you are looking for a relaxing authentic Fijian holiday, this is the perfect place. - The friendliness of the staff. They were amazing and could not be more helpful. The garden setting made for a very restful holiday.
- Fay (8/5): We had a lovely week at the Wellesley looked after by the amazing staff. -
- Anna (5/5): Overall our stay was ok, no more. It needs some love and investment from the owner and management. - The place is beautiful with lush and green surroundings and a nice pool area
Some of the rooms were nice
Tranquil and adults only
The people of the neighbouring village were friendly Highly varying quality of food and service on a day to day basis, even though you have the same dishes and staff. Dont expect a âluxury resortâ as the website states, I would compare the standard of food and service to a home stay more than a resort or a retreat (but the pricing are resort prices) since we did a lot of the service ourselves and the quality of the food was so and so.
Also the executive rooms have very varying standard, the first room we were assigned to wasnât even fully furnished. But luckily we were able to switch when we asked the manager.
They donât organise any regular activities on site (the place have two canoes and one of them is leaking water) and the place is very far from the main road.
- Sonia (10/5): Boutique accommodation, very fairly priced. Gorgeous location with excellent staff and good food. Perfect for unwinding - Peaceful and relaxing location. Beautiful pool gardens, and beach. Adults only, alcohol free.
Genuinely caring and attentive staff.
Best chef who goes out of his way to cater to your needs. Leaving
- Marcinowska (10/5): -
- Vilma (9/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): Great week away from the hustle n bustle! Very relaxing - Remote, super quiet and relaxing! Staff couldnât help you enough! Thereâs a road part closer to the property that I would consider off-road but easily navigated in a corolla
- Christian (9/5): -
- Samuel (10/5): -
- Abidah (9/5): peaceful place - I like everything about this place, very serene and beautiful, perfect place to just chill and relax. The food is also delicious. Moreover, staff members are so friendly and helpful Nothing but you need to get ready that this place is pretty secluded from everywhere, so exploring other places can be an issue (although the staff can help you with taxi etc)
- Gréta (7/5): -
- McGowan (7/5): A wonderful stay with outstanding hospitality, though road access could be challenging in bad weather. - We really enjoyed our stay. The property was lovely and very peaceful, and the staff were exceptional. Veti, the manager, was especially kind, welcoming, and very accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We arrived during a torrential downpour, and the road leading to the resort was in very poor condition. The drive is about 7 minutes in from the main highway with steep hills, and it didnât feel safe in a small car, especially in heavy rain
- Brian (9/5): We absolutely chose the right spot for our 8-day, three-generation family holiday. - Staff was wonderful--kind, gracious, patient, helpful. Kudos to Veti for managing a strong team and ensuring all of our needs were taken care of. Riz, who runs the kitchen and restaurant, is amazing and charming. We ate almost all of our meals on site--delicious, healthy, fresh, with lots of variety and changing specials. Breakfast was also surprisingly good--heavy on carbs, but no one complained b/c the baked goods were scrumptious. The resort's grounds are gorgeous and lush, wild and well-manicured. The beach is pristine and walkable in both directions; beachcombing is excellent. We appreciated having free access to snorkeling gear. We had a wonderful fishing experience with Savir. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. And we enjoyed an incredible New Year's Eve celebration. The earthen-oven traditional Fijian food and kava ceremony was a special treat. We are very grateful to the folks at the Wellesley Resort for making our family holiday unforgettable. The road into the resort is a little hairy. We were ok because we had a large SUV with lots of clearance but I'm not sure I would have wanted to be in a smaller car (though many others were). Definitely pack bug spray. Some of us got eaten alive on the first day. Wifi was not always reliable (which can be a good thing!). Don't waste your time going to nearby Crusoe's (food and service was terrible there).
- Jessie (10/5): Exceeded expectations. We feel relaxed and look forward to visiting again. - The staff are just so lovely and made us feel so welcome. It is such a wonderful location. Itâs quiet, private and a great place to fully relax. We loved that there was no wifi or TV in the rooms. If you wanted there was the opportunity to do different outdoor activities, but donât go expecting the full suite of games or activities expected in larger chain resorts. This is all about beautiful postcard scenes and a slower pace. All with the classic Fijian charm and hospitality offered at every turn. The food was good, but there is not a lot of variety (for those staying for an extended period). We took our own coffee, snacks and drinks. They do not serve alcohol, but welcome you bringing your own.
- Marlon (9/5): We will definitely come back again! - Thank you so much to the staff at Wellesley Resort Hotel! The staff were amazing from the day we arrived! The beach was amazing. Great facility and rooms. Depending on which room you book. No wifi in certain rooms. If you drive just be careful driving down the slope.
- Martin (9/5): - The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful.
The place was so peaceful and quiet and tranquil,
The beach, tropical gardens, qere stunning, loved the snorkelling and kayaking in front of the resort.
The dinner was great, and we loved spending New Years Eve drinking Kava with the staff.
Totally recommend this place to anyone looking g for a real getaway from the rest of the world to relax and rest. No Wifi in the rooms,
It is far from anywhere else, which is great but also has its challenges like when we needed medicine, although the staff were great and picked up what we needed from the next town for us.
- Michael (10/5): Secluded, surreal, magical and definitely therapeutical - The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.
A little maintenance is required but overall an excellent experience The swimming pool, kayak and snorkelling gear readily available, regular room services, beautiful Fijian breakfast, exceptional staff that go above and beyond.
- Philip (8/5): -
- Sanushka (10/5): - We canât recommend this beautiful resort enough! The views from the main dining area are stunning, and itâs only a very short walk to what feels like a private beach. Youâre staying in a much more secluded part of Fiji, so itâs incredible to be surrounded by nature and local life.
The botanical gardens within the property are absolutely beautiful, and we walked through them each morning. There are plenty of activities available, with free use of kayaks, snorkelling gear (with reefs just metres from the property), board games, books to read, and more.
The food that Raj and his wonderful team served was delicious, and they catered exceptionally well for vegans and vegetarians.
And a huge thank you to Riz and Veti (and the entire Wellesley staff) for being so wonderful, generous, warm, and friendly throughout our stay.
Weâre absolutely certain weâll be returning soon and have already told so many of our family and friends
- Nicolae (7/5): Really far away from everything! - Quiet? The beach was not worth it. The location (horrible) unless youâre looking for a retreat in the middle of nowhere with no access to any restaurants and 2/3hours from the main city with the port from where you can go to the islands.
- Dharmendra (10/5): -
- Sari-Luisa (7/5): Nice stay with amazing food a big far from everywhere and unfortunately mosquitos - huge room, Upgrade
Breakfast
The waiter was amazing !
Food Mosquitos
Location a bit far, you need a car
- Scott (10/5): Wonderful stay on the Coral Coast - The pool and area and the staff, especially the manager the food was lovely and the service excellent Nothing
- Jennifer (8/5): Just a delightful relaxation in paradise! - The breakfast was pleasant and plentiful. The staff made us feel like family! The powdered âjuicesâ were not to our taste and we would have preferred real coffee.
- Giorgio (9/5): We stayed at the resort for 20 days .....and were sad to leave. - The long beach, the proximity to the reef, the rainforest close to the resort, the lovely garden
- Joanna (10/5): Thank you to the amazing Sabir and Riz and Veti the manager and the beautiful waitress ( whose name I forgot) for making - The property is set in a serene location and situated in a paradise-like lush garden with a creek flowing through it. The beach is amazing for swimming with turquoise waters and white sand. Water shoes are recommended for snorkling right outside the hotel where you can see blue sea stars and plenty of colourful fish. The food is absolutely amazing and it feels like you almost have a private chef as he comes out to your table sometimes and can customise the meals according to your liking. The whole resort feels far more exclusive and it feels like you have often the whole resort and pool to yourself with a private chef attached. Sabir is a wonderful and friendly guy who takes you fishing for free and we caught 5 fish!!! Riz and another waitress were also more than dedicated to cater to all your needs. Veti the manager of the resort called her sister who works at a resort where we were going next to look after us. It just felt wonderful to be welcomed so warmly and made felt so special.
- Karen (10/5): Staying there is idyllic and if you need to totally recharge and switch off then this is the place to go. - The staff are exceptional especially Lufaiza who organised and served our meals with amazing detail. She decorated and set our table beautifully so we had the most aesthetically pleasing dining experience. She is the ultimate professional and could not do enough for us, catering to our every need during our stay with enthusiasm and a beautiful smile. She shared local knowledge and gave us an insight into Fijian life. Raj is a multitalented chef who can make anything from seriously delicious healthy burgers to mouth watering stir fries and insanely tasty curries. We ate like kings and he ensured that he cooked everything to our liking. The guy is incredibly likeable. Joe was also extremely helpful checking us in and settling us into our rooms which were clean and spacious. We were on a resort crawl and Lufaiza and Raj at the Wellesley stood out from everyone we met at the Shangri La , The Warwick and The Outrigger they are truly exceptional people. The resort itself is a total gem and a great find đ we found it to be the most relaxing idyllic place to stay from those we stayed at on the Coral Coast. The gardens are stunning and the pool area is soo relaxing đ. Sun-beds covers and umbrellas by the pool need a clean and the area by the sea needs to be updated. Other than that everything was really great.
- Kim (8/5): - The resort was small and quiet, a great place to relax
- Bridge (10/5): It was the most relaxing week possible. - The stay was relaxing and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and the restaurant food was delicious.
Quiet, calm and beautiful. Some more water sport activities would have been good. Kayaks were little tired.
- Neeraja (10/5): Excellent - Beautiful resort, very quiet and peaceful. Riz and Faiza were amazing and made our stay memorable.
- Celeste (10/5): - The food was absolutely delicious, and the resort was so beautiful! They even surprised me for my birthday and set up the room so nicely. Thereâs also a little village close by with a private beach definitely worth the drive! Rez the chef can make pretty much anything he was amazing we miss Wellesley already.
- Luc Tukker (10/5): Paradise exists! - Exceptionally friendly staff. They really go the extra mile to make you happy. The location and groups are beautiful. Really well maintained garden, lovely pool and a beach from paradise. Prize quantity ratio is really good. WiFi in the rooms is limited.

- Ron (10/5): - Awesome staff, you couldn't ask for better service than what was provided. Loved the setting of the resort, so quiet, absolutely loved it. Hope to visit again. No comment
- Robert (7/5): -
- David (10/5): -
- Peter (10/5): - From previous reviews we were unsure what to expect, yes it is out of the way and the road in off Queens road is a bit rough however that was part of the experience as the views when you approach the resort are amazing we hired a small mazda Demio and it handle the road in easy.
We arrived 3 hours before check-in, and the staff made us welcome and allowed us full access to the resort it was the same at check-out. We stayed until late afternoon.
The staff are supper helpfull and always friendly, there are several reviews about the meals however the chef was more than happy to make some small alterations to the menu even cooking a desert from ingredients we purchased in Suva.
The resort has resontly changed ownership, and they are painting and renovating some of the rooms.
If you want a resort that makes you feel like you have it all to yourself, then this is the place for you. Even though the resort doesn't serve alcohol they have no issues with you taking your own to the restaurant and walking around the resort. Bringing your own is a cheaper option anyway. Our trip was too short
- John (7/5): Great place to unwind, read a book with few people and no kids. - The location was quiet with no kids. Great for couples. The pool was lovely and as there are not many rooms this was the quiet stay we needed. Riz, Joe and the chef whose name escapes me were all very nice to chat with and service focused. Still remember that everything is on Fiji time. No hurry no worry. There are a few things I will list below for those not used to travelling to Fiji or who are used to larger more western resorts that you should pay attention to. Menu selection is definitely not for those who can only handle bland food or who have specific dietary requirements. For example my partner and I have sensitive digestion so GF, low salt, low sugar options with no onion, no chilli all have to be specified before you travel here. Also if you are a coffee lover they only have a limited selection of milk. My partner was after oat but we purchased soy from the resort that was allocated to us for our 3 day stay. Manage those expectations and you will be able to enjoy unplugging from the virtual world and living and enjoying life in the real one. Beautiful spot to unwind and relax. I would suggest hiring a car if you are staying for a few days so it is easier to get around. Queens Road is pretty easy to navigate during the day. Try not to drive at night as there are some psycho's and with some of the windy roads just better with day vision and line of sight. Much safer.
- Kate (10/5): A tiny paradise - The location was perfect for truly relaxing and unwinding. The food was excellent, and the chef was always happy to prepare delicious vegetarian options for me.
What really made our stay unforgettable, though, were the incredible staff. They could not have been more welcoming or kind. A special thank you to them for their warmth and for allowing us to walk back with them through the village after their shiftâit was an absolute highlight of our trip.
- Bianca (5/5): Donât recommend. - - There were no activities except for swimming in the pool.
- The pool was dirty and full of bugs.
- There was no drinking water provided in the room.
- The shower in the room only had cold water (no hot water)
- The room and food were too expensive.
- LoĂŻc (10/5): Awesome place to stay, will definitely be back! - Vinaka vakalevu to Jo, Hannah, and the amazing team at Wellesley Resort for an unforgettable stay. We were only there three nights, but it left a life-changing impression on us.
This isnât a party resort â itâs calm, peaceful, and pristine, with a private beach that feels like paradise. The food was outstanding (every dish exceeded expectations â especially the curries, fresh fish, and tropical breakfasts).
What makes Wellesley truly special is the connection to the local community. Playing rugby on the beach with kids, joining a Sunday church service, sharing meals with families, and experiencing Fijian traditions like kava and fishing gave us memories weâll treasure forever.
If you visit, bring along clothes or school supplies to donate â itâs a small gesture that means so much to the village.
Wellesley isnât just a holiday â itâs an experience that stays with you. We canât wait to return.
Sota tale â„ Honestly.. nothing!

- Sarah-Jane (10/5): Absolutely recommend. Fantastic place to rest and recharge. Food was delicious and fresh each day. Staff were friendly a - The property is out of the way so is a destination rather than just being a place to stay. That suited us down to the ground. We wanted a quiet place to unwind and relax and got exactly that. It was perfect for what we were looking for.
- Tania (10/5): Coral Reef Gem - A gem in paradise, just what we needed. Relaxation, quiet, pool, sea and great food. Exceptional caring service was a bonus. Perfect location for anyone really wanting to relax.
- nicolas (10/5): 10/10 thanks to Viti:-) - The hotel is nestled in a lush, tropical jungle right by a beautiful beach â peaceful, secluded, and full of charm.
What truly made our stay exceptional was Viti at reception. She was incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She went out of her way to arrange a shark dive for us outside of her working hours and even lent us her personal travel book. Her kindness and effort made our experience truly special. Highly recommended! NA

- Kim (7/5): Good -
- Katherine (8/5): Very good - The wonderful staff and location No coffee machine for first few days.
- Bryton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Salome (7/5): Loved our short stay at the resort. Very relaxing and rejuvenating. - Loved the facilities
Place was quiet and relaxing.
Resort was well kept and clean. Hoped that there would be more options for the menu during lunch and dinner.
And breakfast was very limited options which would have had different varieties.
- Patel (1/5): Disappointing Stay â Not Worth the Money or Hype - NOTHING EVERYTHING
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. We booked Wellesley Resort Fiji for two nights, expecting a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major letdown from the moment we arrived.
First, the dining situation is extremely limited and poorly managed. The chef is only available during strict time slots: breakfast from 8â10 AM, lunch from 12â1 PM, and dinner from 6â8 PM. Outside of these windows, youâre out of luckâno snacks, no coffee, no milk, nothing. Even during mealtimes, the food was very bland and unappetizing. For vegetarians or vegans, there were essentially no options available, which was especially frustrating.
Thereâs also absolutely nothing to do here. The âprivateâ pool attached to our room was dirty, full of bugs and dust, and so uninviting that we didnât dare use it. The communal pool was in the same conditionâclearly neglected and not maintained. On top of that, bugs were constantly flying around, making it uncomfortable to even sit outside.
The resort felt completely deserted. When we checked in, we were the only guestsâliterally. Just the two of us in the entire resort, which felt eerie rather than exclusive.
As for the beach, it was a major disappointment. The water was extremely far from the shoreline, making it inaccessible and unusable. There were no cabanas or any amenities, and even if there were, the beach setup would still be pointless without swimmable water.
All in all, it was a waste of money. We were excited about our stay but left feeling frustrated and misled. I wish someone had left an honest review like this before I booked. Hopefully, this helps others avoid the same disappointment.
- Nitish (9/5): Superb -
- Bigler (5/5): good stopover - i feel that this resort was great before covid and now they try to bring him back. was quite and location was good for us to travel.
stuff was friendly
food was good room sound was poor
facility was not more update or review
beach side really nothing to do
- Jeff (10/5): Great resort friendly staff allways helpful - Amazing location,Clean and comfortable Nothing
- Jolyon (7/5): Peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed! - Quiet and overlook of the sea. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Couldnât do enough.
- Hamendra (3/5): Poor - Rooms Walk way had algae and was very slippery . No signs to inform this . Wife slid, fell and hurt her knees . We are now at Oceania private, she is diabetic
- Timothy (8/5): Great place to stay if you want some quiet time to enjoy the beach and mountains. - Great escape from city and main roads. Bit of a fun drive to get to the location but totally worth it. Amazing staff and rooms were clean and nice. Private pool was lovely. (Just needs minor touch up's) Could have a more wider menu option. WiFi coverage was lacking but took my own wireless router so wasn't much of an issue.
- Barbara (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Namron (8/5): Very good -
- Yuchi (10/5): People is very friendly! Food is delicious! Everything is lovely! - Thereâs a very beautiful beach!
- Irtiza (10/5): ah-MAZING - Best Quiet Escape in Fiji!
Just got back from an amazing stay at Wellesley Resort Fiji, and wowâit did NOT disappoint! My best friend and I were looking for a peaceful getaway, and this place was perfect.
The hospitality was next-levelâthe staff were so warm and welcoming, always making sure we were comfortable.
One of the best things about this resort? Itâs an adults-only retreat, so itâs extra quiet and peacefulâno crowds, no noise, just pure relaxation. If youâre looking for a place to truly unwind, this is it.
Highly recommend for anyone wanting a secluded, chill, and beautiful getaway in Fiji!
- Komouthaphong (8/5): Very good -
- Bradley (7/5): Remote location, perfect for very quiet break, lovely food and service. Internet not good. - The location was awesome, the food was great, the room was very nice The internet was very intermittent, the airconditioning in the room was inadequate and there were no fans in the restaurant. They also didn't sell alcohol which I think would have improved the service offering.
- Jane (9/5): Perfect location for a real getaway, quiet relaxing holiday in stunning surroundings. - It was a little bit of paradise. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in every way. Food was wonderful. We tried everything on the menu and everything was great. Quiet and relaxing and the location was beautiful. The pool was a good size for swimming. People came from neighboring resort many times because the food was so good and the staff was so hospitable. No TV which we were fine with but may bother others. DVDâS were available if wanted. A pair of reef shoes would be a good idea to bring. The WiFi in the room wasnât very reliable. Few steps down to the beach needed some attention and a handrail would definitely help.
- Namron (9/5): Superb -
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Brad (10/5): Exceptional - A truly special part of Fiji - a small resort that is around 5 km off the main road on the Coral Coast. Set in a valley, it is secluded and surrounded by vivid greenery everywhere. You could say it is remote, a little tricky to get to, but this is exactly what I was looking for - a retreat from the busy and stressful life back home. Flanked by local villages and with a white sandy beach directly in front of the location at the end of the gardens, the natural beauty of Wellesley is its feature. The Tropical gardens have been lovingly planned and tended to, with beautiful flowers in abundance. The coral reef is amazing, with bath-like warm water. Snorkeling reveals all the stunning colours of the reef fish - clown fish, parrot fish, zebra fish, angel fish, and so on. The thing that truly set Wellesley apart though was the staff - Riz, Raj, Jackie and every person from the maintenance to the housekeeping were just a joy and thoroughly professional throughout my 12 day stay. The lovely nature of the Fijian people shone through - polite, warm, caring, and always smiling and laughing. Riz went out of his way to ensure we were treated like family every day. We felt welcomed, cared for and were always greeted with a genuine warmness and with plenty of humour every step of the way. The staff were very careful to make sure we had our space and provided a very calming and respectful atmosphere. The chef Raj prepared daily specials with love, creating meals from scratch with stunning fresh ingredients every day. There are set menus for breakfast , lunch and dinner as well, so plenty of choice. Local reef fish caught in the surrounding waters featured in some of the many awesome dishes available. The influences were traditional Fijian staples with an Indian influence, but more western style food can be made as well. The fresh coconut, papaya, pineapple, mango, banana, watermelon and more are all sourced locally and available fresh every day for breakfast. I will list some things that may be an issue for some, but weren't for me.
- A simple and peaceful place with not too much on site entertainment, but plenty of activities can be arranged.
- Alcohol is not for sale on site but can be brought there.
- Limited connectivity for WiFi and even cellular reception. I was looking to disconnect from a busy life so this was an excuse to bring some books and start reading again. This could be a deal breaker for younger guests. They do provide board games and you can connect to WiFi in the cafe area at meal times.
- Not 5 star rooms, but for me they were great for the price. Aircon and plenty of hot water and a small kitchenette with fridge. The bed was fine, beautiful gardens directly in front of the room with lots of privacy.
- Some of the facilities appeared a little run down around the edges, but this just added to the charm for me.
- If you are after western food like pizza and the standard staples, the menu might be a bit adventurous for some. I personally loved the food, and there are burgers and chips on the menu for the people that prefer plain meals.
- Jane (9/5): Just stunning! - The Manager and staff are wonderful and very attentive. Very secluded, beautiful gardens very private. Very peaceful. Meals were lovely. Maybe the driveaway was a little rocky, but they had had storms.
- Farzeena (1/5): Bad -
- Derek (5/5): To go to a resort with more life, it was too quiet for us. - Staff where very nice, but didnât like the large spiders in the room for 3 nights. No entertainment! The weather was inclement so no loci.
- Ggren (7/5): Good value if you like a quiet resort but would advise hiring a car in order to explore the area - Quite resort, friendly staff, nice pool and gardens Tricky untarmacked road to get to the resort, wifi wasn't great, no watersport equipment was offered (kayaks etc.), breakfast was a little poor e.g. stale corn flakes
- Mereoni (10/5): Loved it!! - Riz and his team were absolutely amazing!
The resort has such a âzenâ feel to it.
The villa was beautiful and clean.
The beach was serene.
The food was divine.
Five Star service all-round!
Wellesley is definitely one of the best resorts my husband and I have ever been to - and would happily return to in the future.
- Lee (7/5): Good - Very quiet and relaxing. Adults only is good..
Staff were amazing.. No alcohol for sale,
No
wifi for half the stay ( no signal at all for phones, so wifi is needed. )
- Healy (10/5): Exceptional - Riz and his team were absolutely fabulous. They went out of their way to make our stay memorable I enjoyed everything
- Ryan (10/5): Amazing resort - The service is truly exceptional. Rizs goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and pampered. From the warm and friendly welcome at check-in to the attentive service at the restaurant, the team consistently exceeds expectations. They genuinely make you feel like part of the family, ensuring that every moment is memorable.
- Meimi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irina (10/5): Gem of the Coral Coast - The resort has a very cozy vibe, very quiet and peaceful. Loved how lush the territory is. The color of the water is breathtaking. Loved the beach and the finest white sand. Met a baby turtle when snorkeling. Riz went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and amazing. (Huge vinaka vakalevu for that!) Loved the breakfast. There are books and games available. Perfect weekend getaway, definitely will be back!
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great stay at the wellesley resort! Riz was an amazing host and the food was wonderful!
- Teresa (10/5): i will come back for sure! :) - i realy loved the stay at wellesley resort. a lot of nature and a quiet place to come down! the breakfast was fabulous and more then enough. every day fresh fruits, a lot from the garden. the pool area and the view at breakfast is stunning!!
i also did my very first fishing experience with the stuff there. it was amazing and straight after i got my catched fish served with curry :D
thanks a lot to all the stuff at wellesley resort especially to riz!!
- Sonia (10/5): Perfect adults only peaceful escape for travellers and locals alike. - Secluded, private, clean, good food, well appointed rooms for price point.
Stunning location and amazing staff. Mattress was comfortable enough and good but not amazing, however I am aware that there are many gradual improvements underway and this is a very minor observation
I hated leaving
- Sonia (10/5): Paradise on earth - found on the Coral Coast - The Wellesley is a slice of heaven/nirvana/paradise on earth.
It is serene, the gardens are stunning with a stream flowing through the centre of the resort.
The accomodation is exactly as shown on website, each room beautifully furnished and absolutely IMMACULATELY clean.
At this price point itâs truly exceptional.
The current menu is limited, however the food is excellent homemade everything fresh from scratch daily⊠and the inclusive breakfast is ridiculously good, it would be sensational in any trendy Melbourne eatery.
But the very very best thing is without question the staff led by the resort manager Rizwan who is the most amazing host we have ever experienced⊠his kind thoughtful attention to every need and those âlittleâ touches that make things so memorable for guests like his daily homemade tropical oats, juices, cake. His warm welcome at the front is like coming home. He leads an amazing, hardworking warm and beautiful team⊠from Dee to Raj and every single one who bent over backwards to make us feel like old friends. Leaving
- Bianca (10/5): Perfect service, amazing location and incredible stay - Amazing service, beautiful location and amenities are fabulous It is a bit isolated, but not a bad thing for us
- Deborah (10/5): An amazing 5 days in paradise with incredible resort staff - Wellesley Resort is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in. Quiet, secluded, with beautiful grounds and gardens; it has a picturesque resort pool overlooking the white sandy beach and coral reef and a beachfront deck to relax on. Our villa was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a private plunge pool which was amazing. The staff are incredible, delivering amazing service. Special thanks to them all, especially Riz, the manager and Raj, the chef. Nothing was too much for Riz, he made sure our every needs were met and went above and beyond. Raj delivered amazing, freshly cooked meals every time. The view from the dining room/deck is sensational and fresh flowers decorated our table with every meal. Sabin took us fishing in the reef and we brought back 5 snapper which were cooked for our lunch. It is a 10 minute walk along the beach to the next resort, you will meet local villagers on the way as you pass their beachfront village. The resort is off the main road and secluded but thatâs what makes it special. We had a hire car which made getting to the resort and out and about much easier. The dirt road from the main sealed road is easy to drive. We hope to return to one day to experience another stay in paradise
- Adele (10/5): A total GEM retreat on the Coral Coast! - The moment we arrived, we felt a warm Bula welcome and were put at ease immediately to feel at home! The vibe was awesome and this continued throughout our stay. We had lovely welcoming drinks. It is a relaxing atmosphere and all the facilities aid this. Reece is an excellent manager who goes out of his way to chat, cook and arrange an activity every day for his guests from walks to fishing or a massage in the local village where he walks you over. Reece takes great pride in the food treats he makes during your visit and his cooking is amazing! Dee is an absolute gem as well! She is so warm and welcoming every time she sees you and ensures you are comfortable with anything you need at all times. She is very observant as well and will bring you cold water when you get back from the beach, walks or lying by the pool. Dee loves ensuring the facilities are always covered with fresh flowers from the land and makes the resort beautiful. Saheel is such an amazing addition to this small team, he is a jack of all trades and takes the time to chat and tell you about the area, local fauna and flora as well as ask you about yourself. The locals play touch rugby on the beach in the evening and invited my husband more than once to join them. This was an absolute highlight! They were awesome and so kind. Mary in the village does a must do massage for fjd $50! This entire team is so welcoming and encompassing the true Bula spirit! We will be back for sure to enjoy the quiet retreat in the forest, pool and beach. A note that you must bring your own alcohol. There is a fridge in your room to keep this cold. Would have liked more breakfast options. These were delicious and well prepared but the same everyday. The resort needs new and more kayaks to enjoy the water more.
- Alicja (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful - Amazing place, peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by beautiful nature. Loved the main pool. Food was very nice and reasonably priced. Loved that wifi was not available in the rooms, forced us to really unwind (you can access it at the restaurant). All staff were great, Dee, Sabi, and the manager Riz always there to help with anything.
- Sebastian (10/5): Beautiful property. Great human connection. Truly lovely. - The gardens were beautiful and the staff went out of their way to truly make it special. Riz created a beautiful welcome. We arrived late, however, Riz went and made us an amazing eggplant dip and wedges. Truly beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Dee was lovely and served us our meals with a smile and great sense of warmth. Big shout out to Sabir, who took us on beautiful walks and showed us the local area and the plants that could
be used for local medicine.
Thank you for a wonderful visit. 10/10
- Roger (9/5): Great weekend away in a relaxing location. - Very quiet, very restful Meal options could have been a little more varied.
- Ramos (9/5): We are extremely satisfied with the resort and 100% visiting again. - The whole resort is so wonderful and very good for retreat. Our stay was so relaxing and comfortable. The manager, Rizwan, was so hands on and he catered all our needs. We recommend this resort and will definitely coming back.
- Sharon (7/5): If Iâd known now before booking, I wouldâve gone elsewhere. - Very hard place to find and get to. Itâs out in the middle of nowhere. But perfect little beach out front. Staff were excellent, grounds exceptional. Alcohol free?? Not good, never heard of before. And menu needs a big lift, maybe a professional chef would help?
Sorry but we wonât be back.
