- Marc (10/5): - Whole experience very good May sound a bit strange but tv would been good
- Susan (10/5): Fantastic stay - Perfect getaway location weekend for a friend's birthday.
Had all facilities needed with a lovely bottle of wine too.cant wait to sit round the fire pit and go in the hot tub again Nothing
- Katrina (10/5): Absolutely amazing breath taking views - Everything about the property was just amazing views was exceptional every detail inside the property was very well thought of very cozy very clean hot tub was lovely best place me and my partner have stayed excellent host aswell Could not fault the property atall
- neil (10/5): - 2nd stay here, cant wait to book again, anthony is a fantastic host.
- Brighter (10/5): Fabulous Stay - The host was very kind - told us about the area. The people in the town were very kind and we got around pleassntly. The buses were great- they just stop for you where you are if you let them know. Love wine tasting a few minutes from the accom. The room has a lot of space - this was new to us as we normally glamp and were expecting a smaller space The price of the taxis𤣠might be worth hiring a car if you are advantageous and want to explore more.
- Bruze (10/5): -
- FRANK (10/5): A lovely stay - The shepherds hut was clean and had everything you needed even a nice bottle of wine from the local vineyard. The hot tub was great and heated ready to use This was all set in a nice private peaceful area. Anthony was welcoming and helped us up the hill with our bags . We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.
- Sarah (10/5): Absolutely fabulous! - The quiet and privacy. Level of comfort and detail. Customer service. Would be good to have a BBQ to increase the capacity to cook.
- Mike (10/5): - We loved just about everything. We had such a nice relaxing time in such a peaceful environment. Everything was clean and Anthony made us very welcome and looked after us. Cant wait to return
- Mike (10/5): -
- Candice (10/5): Wonderful bank holiday stay - The host, Anthony, was friendly and warm, and nothing was too much trouble. He helped us up the hill with our belongings and made sure the hot tub was started upon our arrival. Everywhere was clean, and the area was peaceful and relaxing. He included fresh milk and a bottle of local sparkling wine, which was lovely. There were banners for my birthday, and he even grabbed my partner a specific whisky glass and helped supply us with a little breakfast hamper, which was a lovely touch. We had a lovely few days exploring the vineyards and winery, plus a lovely walk around the village and a trip to the local pub.
- Kain (10/5): -
- Jason (10/5): -
- Timothy (10/5): A little bit of heaven. - Hot tub and beautiful caravan. Heavenly. Sitting on a little hill with amazing view of the stars. Perfect.

Had a fantastic time.
- Agata (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): The best holiday I've had. My 4 year boy loves it and asked to go back. - This was our second stay and the host remembered us. Was an amazing host. He was on hand with any queries or requests. We Would stay there more often if finances allowed. Felt isolated even though not far from anywhere. Was quality time with the family. No tv or disruptions. Hot tub was great. If he ever does any special offers, I will book straight away... basically we all felt happy there. Nothing. Wish I could spend more time there...
- Lauren (10/5): A beautiful stay in a gorgeous location, we are already looking to rebook! - The shepherds hut was situated in a very beautiful, private location. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of space in the hut and the hosts were very wonderful and helpful. Nothing!
- Emma (10/5): -
- Chris (10/5): -
- Hazel (10/5): - Everything - there was nothing we didn't like!!
Little things like salt and pepper, oil, local wine and milk in the fridge. Lights outside and plenty of wood for fire pit and hot tub. Marshmallows for the firepit and the hot tub being pre warmed were all very thoughtful.
Beautiful space used very well.
Everything we needed for a romantic weekend away.
Anthony was a fantastic host, long awkward walk up a muddy hill to the hut, Anthony carried our things up for us. Host left us alone but was around if we needed him or ran out of logs etc. Not a negative for the host or the hut, however I'm short and I slipped as the steps to the hot tub don't align with the highest seat which made me have to over stretch and I almost fell getting out.
- Omer (10/5): It has a very nice view and is very clean - It has a very nice view and is very clean and has everything you need.
- Conor (10/5): - The views and accommodation were perfect one of the most peaceful places to relax and enjoy

- Hamza (10/5): -
- Kayleigh (10/5): It was more than I couldâve asked for - Everything was better than expected. It was the little things, the fact the hot tub was warm for us, the log fire was set for when we arrived. Th owner was so kind and helpful. Will be definitely booking again The only negative was the walk up the hill to the hut, but that cannot be helped. It was only rough because on the third night my back went and I struggled, but itâs not enough of a negative to not come back.
- mark hatcher (10/5): Perfect little hideaway - Really lovely place. Everything has been well thought of by the owner. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return. Nothing, it was perfect.
- Lena (10/5): Perfect little treat away - The hosts where amazing so accommodating and so friendly left marshmallows to roast which was lovely. - Janine (10/5): Amazing đ - Really nice little hidden spot...perfect for a relaxing break away .
Anthony was very helpful at explaining how things worked and showing us up to the Hut ect was very impressed with all the little touches. Fairy lights inside , liltle lights outside ,fire pit and hot tub . And a amazing view of stars above ..amazing walk though the vineyard to the local pub đŤ Nothing negative to say . Only thing you could improve would be . WD40 on the bathroom door (it was creeking) we just laughed at it tbh
- Louise (10/5): Perfect shepherds hut hideaway - Anthony the host greeted us warmly, escorted us to the shepherds hut, gave us info on route which was lovely to learn about the area. He stocked up logs for us for the hit. Tub and there was plenty fur log burner and fire put , he also left us marshmallows for roasting. The little things such as this with tea and coffee really made our stay so special.
I highly recommend, the shepherds hut itself is cosy and lovely place to stay, the horses in the field greyed us whilst we had coffee on the swing chair.
- Lianne (10/5): Private Haven - So many wonderful extra touches, the host was amazing, beautiful location too
- Heasman (10/5): Perfect cosy retreat - The location was beautiful and the hot tub and hut had everything you could want.
- Simon (10/5): Very cosy with all amenities taken care of - Hidden Gem of a property and the host Anthony was exceptional. Didnât mention when booking that the hut was only accessible via a short steep climb.
- Harris (10/5): - Quaint lovely view. Hot tub was excellent. Staff was friendly

- David (10/5): -
- Raquel (10/5): A great experience - Excellent spot of a little retreat. Great location, very quiet and some pathways to walk around. The jacuzzi is great, and being able to sit outside around a fireplace makes it a fab experience. The hut is neat and comfortable, has kitchen appliances, fridge, kettle, and everything you need for a few days including blankets, towels and flip flops. Anthony was super lovely and helpful. Nothing
- Ashley (10/5): Very good - Friendly staff and great vies
- Aimee (10/5): This place is incredible and gives you a little bit of a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the real world! - The hut itself was incredible! Looked so pretty inside with the fairy lights and had everything you needed! Milk was thoughtfully left in the fridge, along with some cereal in the cupboard and tea bags and coffee too! It was the most amazing place made even better by the amazing hot tub! We genuinely cannot wait to book again and go back! Also Anthony was such a lovely host, helped us up to the hut with our things and showed us how to use the hot tub etc. All in all a 10/10 stay and couldnât recommend it anymore! There wasnât one thing I disliked! I loved every part of the stay!

- Faye (10/5): - Beautiful location, Anthony was so lovely from the moment we arrived we will be 100% returning
- Laura (10/5): Superb accommodation and host. - Anthony was an amazing host, very welcoming and friendly. Met us at the entrance and assisted with our luggage. The hot tub had been pre lit with firewood which was a lovely touch and the hut had been warmed up too.
He really has thought of everything, down to the minor details such as flips flops for the hot tub, extra blankets, charging leads, cereals for breakfast, salt and pepper grinders, and a complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge.
The shepherds hut is exceptionally well equipped and provides a cosy escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who wants a peaceful get away. Really happy with everything.

The host was absolutely amazing, a really lovely guy and very friendly, he gave us some recommendations on what kind of places were around the area and ensured that we knew how to work the hot tub, even heated it for us so it was ready for our arrival and lit the fire. Not a dislike at all just wish we had a a few more logs for the hot tub as itâs harder to keep warm in the colder weather, other than that it was perfect

The host left marshmallows for us to roast on the fire + tea/coffee for the morning. Even cornflakes which was a nice touch. 100% recommend.

- Jennifer (10/5): 10/10 Romantic Weekend Away - Fantastic private stay in such a lovely Shepherd's Hut. Everything you could possibly need was there, including marshmallows to cook on the fire. Hot tub was absolutely lovely (bring flip flops to walk to/from the hot tub from the hut!). Super comfortable bed! Lovely little local pub a short walk away. Nice 6km circular route from the hut we found on AllTrails. Would absolutely visit again.
- Janine (10/5): Best uk glamping site đ - Another amazing stay â¨ď¸ both huts are amazing and spaced very privately apart. Beautiful views and quite natural sounds .. birds chirping. There's a really nice little town nearby (maldon) we went out to eat. It's always beautiful coming back and seeing all the lights lit up( automatically) outside at night pairing it off with clear constellation of stars above ...we can never resist, sitting outside, looking up at night with the fire đĽ
(in-side hut has fairy lights too )
Anthony is hands-down the best host weâve ever met. Thoughtful, responsive, and a total legend. Each hut has a cupboard stocked with everythingâfleece blankets, towels, firewoodâall included. Incredible value for a UK break.
Fresh ground coffee (in bags!) and milk were waiting for us in the morning. Such a sweet touch.
There was A two seater hanging wooden swing bench outside one of the huts,it was a really nice surprise added edition ,perfect for sitting back enjoying the views when drinking morning coffee âď¸
The local pub is greatâjust check opening times as they close early some days. Other pubs are a short drive away:

- Claire (10/5): Great setting and service - Exceptional location, Anthony could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Facilities were second to none, comfortable and secluded. The fire pit and hot tub were especisllly useful.
Tea,coffee,milk and toiletries were provided.
Cannot fault our stay and would recommend the Shepherds Hut for a stay of any length. Thank you to Anthony for a great night Nothing whatsoever
- Beverley (10/5): HILLTOP HIDEAWAY - My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The Shepherd's hut itself has everything you need and was spotlessly clean. Very private. Loved the hot tub and toasting marshmallows (provided) on the firepit. Host was really helpful and friendly. Stunning views. We would definitely stay here here again. Not really suitable for anyone with mobility problems though, because as the name suggests (Hilltop Hideaway), it is on top of a hill. I honestly can't fault this place.
- Lisa (10/5): Amazing stay and fantastic hosts - Everything ! On the run up to the visit the owner was extremely helpful. Letting us know how to pick up keys when we were going to arrive late. Left us lights and a map. The hut was so cosy with everything you need for a stay. The hot tub was lovely and they had lit it for us so it was lovely and warm. There is a lovely open area to sit in, an outside fire and for cold days a log burner inside but it's so cosy and warm inside. Such a wonderful stay and a lovely cuppa outside in the morning next to the fire. Nothing

- Carl (10/5): Night Away In The Shepeards Hut For Our Anniversary - My Partner and I booked the Shepherd Hut for our anniversary. We had a messaged a few hours before our arrival with all the details we needed to get in and how the gentleman would meet us on arrival and show us up to the Shepherds Hut and also offered to get the hot tub swt up so it was up to temperature for when we arrived. When we arrived we were greeted by the gentlemen who took our bags and placed them into a wheelbarrow and wheeled them up to the Hut for us. The location was perfect, right at the top of the hill with your own garden area that was secluded, in one direction you could see the local vollage and the opposite direction you could see over the vineyard and out to the estuary. The shepherd hut was amazing, so much more spacious than we thought it would be. Was really homly and comfy. The hot tub was great especially once it got dark and we had the lights on in it. The bag of marshmallows and sticks left in the hut was a nice touch, we was able to relax infront of the camp fire toasting the marshmallows. The gentleman that showed us up to the hut also had left a bottle of milk in the fridge, and there was mini boxes of cereal in the cupboard along with tea, coffee and sugar. There was towels supplied in the bathroom aswell as shower gels and shampoo. We took a walk to the local pub The Purleigh Bell for a drink, which was a lovely walk through the local winerys vineyards. Our stay was so relaxing and refreshing we dat there in the evening wishing we had booked more than one night. We loved our stay so much whilst sat around the camp fire we booked 2 nights away next year in the Shepherds Hut. Absolutely nothing
