The bed was super-comfortable and the bathroom magnificent. We enjoyed the sea view from the deck and from our room. The host was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect. It was right by the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The ferry across to the city was a short walk from the property. We liked everything. Just what we needed.

To be absolutely honest, I didn't see the description about a shared Apartment. Angelina from the start was most accommodating to us when I reached out to her. Long story short , I was most surprised the amount of privacy we had. Thanks so much to Angelina and co-host ashcom 🐶 for making us feel so welcome 🙏🏼

Easy walking access to the beach, downtown and the ferry wharf. Angelina provided excellent walking instructions from the ferry. Easy 10 minute flat walk. A big variety of restaurants close by. • Janette (7/5): Disappointing - It was difficult as we were not given information about key access and the building has a different name to Manly Beach Stay. We feel we were mislead by the information provided on booking.com. We thought we had booked a room with an ensuite but did not realise it was actually a room in someone else’s apartment. This was embarrassing and disappointing.
• Vanessa (2/5): FALSELY ADVERTISED - THIS IS A SHARED 3 BEDROOM APARTMENT WITH THE HOST - Very disappointed and did not feel safe. This apartment if falsely advertised. This is a 3 bedroom SHARED apartment and you are also sharing it with THE HOST - make that clear when you advertise. Not private at all. Nothing about the apartment is private. We were a mature couple travelling and this was our anniversary. I was only made aware after paying and booking that this was a shared apartment. I immediately called the host to advise this was not clearly outlined upfront in the advertisement and she refused to give me a refund because I was under the 7 day booking cancellation when we booked it only a few days prior whilst travelling on the road. The host advised that bookings.com write the ads and she was having issues with this. Whilst the host may be polite and friendly, I am not paying for a host to talk to, I am paying for what I thought was a waterfront private apartment. There is a dog that barks constantly and the door that continually slammed, there were other guests in the apartment (strangers). There was a balcony overlooking the water but occupied by another guest working. There was another balcony next to our room that had someone on it that could see into our room, no privacy. Our bedroom door did not lock and had to remove all our items and leave them in the car. We had been on the road so once we got it in, we immediately showered and went out for the day. When we did return early evening and stayed in our room (which didn't lock properly) from approximately 7pm - 10pm there was phone calls, loud conversations, banging, someone cooking loudly in the kitchen at around 9pm then the someone playing the piano at 10pm which is when we got fed up. We didn't feel safe, I was extremely anxious and we left the apartment and found a cheap motel for the night near the airport for a third of the price - with privacy. I have lodged a complaint with bookings.com for this falsely advertised property.
• Charlotte (4/5): Not really as advertised - This property is right opposite the beach, so is in a great location. However, we did not stay here because it turns out to be a room within somebody’s own personal apartment and NOT A HOTEL ROOM. This is only disclosed after booking and the booking fee is non-refundable. Particulates of lusting are misleading and not clear. Non-refundable “hotel” room that you discover is in someone’s own apartment only after booking. Owner will not entertain refunding monies despite the fact that it is shared accommodation with them and that this is only made clear once monies have been taken.

I especially enjoyed some quiet time on the balcony chaise lounge with the views and sounds of the ocean. The main living and kitchen area are very spacious. Great location, not far to walk to main shops but far enough away from noise and main busy tourist area around The Corso. I didn't get time to use the apartment complex pool but it looked inviting. Maybe next time.

The balcony / facilities are not private as indicated as you share with how ever many guests are there at the time. It was a bit awkward returning to the unit after an evening out and finding a family had checked in at the last minute.

• Chris (1/5): DO NOT book this accommodation as it is a complete misrepresentaton and needs to be removed romnonline advertising - it - Nothing This is a complete fraud and I will be reporting the false advertising to trading. This is basically a home stay with a shared bathroom. There is noting I the description that states this I fact it is only in confirmation that you find this out. I am a cancer patient and cannot share a bathroom. I immediately notified the vendor to ask for a waiver if the cancellation fee and did not receive a response until it was too late to cancel and now a refund has been refused. This is the lowest of the low.

• Maria (9/5): Great location. - Review on behalf of my mother in law: Angelina was very warm and welcoming when arrived. Angelina‘s house was absolutely spotless and the room we stayed in was lovely. Angelina was a lovely host and was very helpful to telling us the best places to visit around the area. Angelina also took time to spend with us going in the hot tub swimming pool and sauna which is included for free in your stay. Angelina also took us to the beach on a bike ride and swam with us in the ocean. The one thing I would say is that it dose need to be more clearer that this is a house share you do not get the entire apartment to yourself. I will give this a 10 star rating. • Peter (10/5): An Oasis in Manly.... Anything is Possible. - Everything..... Angelina was an amazing host who would do anything for the guest to make you relaxed and feel at home. I had the main bedroom with ensuite and it was huge. In fact, if you had 2 in the bed, you'd be playing "Marco Polo" to find each other. The location was perfect, on the beach and close to the Corso !! There are plenty of places to eat out nearby or a local supermarket if you'd like to cook in the apartment where you have access to an oven, stove or microwave if you'd prefer to cook at home !!! I recommend the Arun Thai restaurant. Ask to buy Angelina's book...... Escape. Angelina has an inspiring life story to tell, it's worth sitting down and having a chat with her. Do yourself a favour and catch the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly and then walk to Manly Beachfront Stay via the Corso and beach front. Nothing. I had no complaints !!! Angelina was amazing !!! Not that it bothered me, the advert should say that the owner lives inside the premises, not in site of the premises.

I didn't do enough research to realise it was a shared apartment with host and a couple in the other 'queen' room. Our twin room was small however this was advised at booking. One shared bathroom (however was very clean). Lifts were undergoing maintenance at the time so had to use stairs.

Hostess uses a kind of ‘bait-and-switch’ to try to upgrade you to larger room/bed (twice the cost). Dog? Cat? ‘Best Selling’ author? I don’t think so!

• Emma (10/5): 100% Brilliant experience. Million $ views. Beautiful Host. - Amazing location right on the beach. The swimming pool was heated to a high temp which was great for winter. Hot tub was hot. Sauna heated quickly. Angelina was amazing. Super friendly and easy going. Felt like I’d been going there for years. I am fairly local and could have just gone home for the night! Why would I do that when I can escape the norm and enjoy an enriched experience! My 10 year old daughter didn’t want to leave. We will certainly be back soon.

• Jody (1/5): Stayed one night out of 3 paid for, would NOT recommend. - Read the fine print!! The main facilities overview conveniently doesn't mention shared bathroom!! Although if you read the fine print of your specific room choice it notes it there. You are sharing the bathroom with the host and her husband. You are sharing the small area of the unit and balcony with other guests, so don't picture relaxing on the small balcony in pjs. The room has no lock on the door, therefore safety and privacy is a major concern!! - how are you supposed to go out and leave your belongings, when there are other guests in the same unit who the host can't vouch for. We booked this for my daughter and her best friend from the UK, on arrival I tried to contact the owner to explain our discomfort and no answer. Back and forth texting got me no where. We paid for three nights and stayed only the first night, booking.com said it was at the discretion of the owner to offer a refund, she also had the option to open for rebooking. No decency was shown, even not a compromise of one night rebate, given our girls didn't feel safe with a room where you can't lock the door. Refund policy was more important than an ounce of empathy.

The host was wonderful and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, providing plenty of tips on what to do in Manly. The sunrise from the balcony was simply amazing, with the sun rising over the ocean. Our pet was very well treated, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

• Zsuzsanna (10/5): I enjoyed the location… very beautiful across from Manly Beach shops and restaurants nearby .. on bus line if you wanted - Angeline the host was very friendly and hospitable. The accommodation was beautiful and very comfortable … there is a small dog and cat which made the stay very homely as they were loving and adorable. Great place for animal lovers to stay. Nothing!
• John (10/5): A wonderful home stay in a simply amazing location - Sitting on the balcony, with the fragrance of sea salt and pine trees, on a warm, balmy, evening; listening to the sound of the ocean. A large spacious room. A spotless apartment. A lively host. What’s not to like! Nothing
• Karen (3/5): uncomfortable, hot, stressful and I will not be returning to this unit. - I liked the location The room was very small and airless. Had to keep door closed due to cat making herself at home on bed. No lift on Monday to carry bags down to car in basement so I had to leave a day early. Apartment is on 3rd floor so had to carry bags down 4 flights of stairs. Host knew about lift not going to be operating well in advance to me arriving and failed to inform me. I had informed her that I was disabled and couldn't go up and down stairs in my booking. Place very difficult to find as is entry is not on North Steyne but in Whistler St. There was no microwave and television didn't work. She was reluctant to put air conditioner on but found me a fan to use during my stay. I found it difficult staying in the host's own apartment with her animals.
• Kay (10/5): Angelina warmly welcomed me making me feel comfortable and relaxed with with my choice of acc - I took my own breakfast I was happy with everything
• Valerie (7/5): Nice flat in great location but wouldn’t stay there again due to petty housekeeping issues and cat on kitchen counters. - The location is superb. Balcony with sea view and we had the very spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Angelina was very helpful regarding places to visit. The cat that kept jumping up on kitchen counters when I was preparing food. Lack of air conditioning could be a problem, however we did have a fan in our bedroom although we couldn’t open the patio door as the cat would come into the bedroom. We were also told to put the patio chairs back under the table when finished. I didn’t appreciate receiving an email telling me to vacuum and deep clean the bathroom before leaving - this is surely why I paid $100 cleaning fee. I was also accused of not cleaning the hob even though I hadn’t used it. (Angelina decided it must have been the other guests who had left it a mess but didn’t apologise to me). Dishwasher only put on once during the 6 days we were there. No microwave.
• Sheryn (10/5): Exceptional - Angelina is so hospitable, and so professional. Such a beautiful place to stay, so convenient and such a lovely beachside vibe!
• Ferame (1/5): Bad - Nothing, The place was so small, very hot because they didn't switch on the aircon and even a fan wasn't offered. When I arrived l ask for the aircon and c turned it on then I went to get the rest of our luggage and fetch my husband and when we're back the aircon was switch off and we were so hot all we could do is to take a quick shower and we have to fan ( using the hand fan) ourselves to keep cool while in our room. Even after later at night when where back late in the evening it was still so hot and when we open the window it was so noisy from cars or drunken people yelling from the street. The shared bathroom/toilet is so small and full of displays and you could hardly moved because you might knock off something. Checking in is unorganised. I think it's more a backpackers accommodation. Overall this is the most uncomfortable accommodation I have experience. We were even ask to clean up the bathroom after using it. We were there to enjoy not to clean someone's house. So ended up using public showers and toilet I'm the building. We only use her shower once and just spend most of our time in the beach or restaurant to stay cool. Sorry but I think she just want to show off her place. So no for us this accommodation.. zero rating because I didn't enjoy my stay. I couldn't sleep well at all because of the heat and noise from outside and also white noise from the building exhaust I think.

• Denys (10/5): Amazing Experience with Fantastic Hospitality and Balcony View - Super Host - Angelina ! Very friendly and attentive to details Apartment is very organised and mega clean with extra attention , fantastic view from the balcony and natural breeze , outstanding facilities on the ground floor - swimming pool and hot tub with sauna we stayed at the property for 4 weeks enjoyed everything and would highly recommend for a short or long stay, Also you’ll have great company: a little dog Ashkim and cat Lucky - absolutely adorable animals. 10 ⭐️ plus ( definitely extra mile there) Property location in heart of Manly , everyone will find something to do in there, very close to public transport and touristic attractions !
• Suzanne (10/5): Highly recommended! - This is a beautiful place to stay. The location is amazing and the view is magnificent. Our host Angelina was kind, thoughtful and generous, such as offering to drive us to the supermarket and ferry. Our room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need. The whole place was so clean! We particularly loved sitting on the balcony each night. Thanks for a lovely stay. Everything was fantastic and as advertised.
• Greg (2/5): Disappointing - Location is very good Very ordinary unit, definitely not luxury No operational air conditioning Very small room Very ordinary bed Cat that came into the room ( no aircondtioning so I had to leave the door open) Had to rescue the cat off the window sill twice during the night( no insect screens) 4 levels up
