Guest Reviews
- Hakeem (6/5): Location was good, staff was good but apartment not clean - Booking.com Not clean
- Ryan (9/5): Would stay there everytime I come to reading and have to stay a night rather than a hotel room! -
- Megan (4/5): It made do for the few days we were there. Host was nice just a shame about the other stuff - Bed was super comfy and host was friendly Water pressure on shower wasn't great.
Wasnt able to have a bath- drain wouldn't shut properly
Limescale in kettle, completely unusable
Heating only worked in bedroom but not the bathroom.
Electric went out for a while.
Light triggered when someone walked past our flat
Bedroom door handle a little wonky, had to leave door open to prevent being locked in.
Utensils weren't the cleanest
Told not to cook anything too high on the stove or the smoke alarm would be triggered.

- Liam (1/5): Very poor quality, loud, filthy dirty and an uncomfortable bed and stained and dirty bedding. - The apartment was very poor quality. Dirty, dog hairs all over the floor. Sticky floor and kitchen cupboards and utensils all dirty. Fridge was filthy. We did not feel comfortable staying so left!
Lots of people moving around, and passing by. The bed sheets in the room were dirty, uncleaned and had stains on. We sofa bed was solid and uncomfortable, even to sit on. The bedding provided for this was a throw, which smelt and had hairs on it.
There was loud music and base playing all around the apartment which was very bad, specifically as we had hoped for somewhere quieter. My friend is deaf and he was very unsettled by the vibrations of the base pumping through the apartment. Due to all of the reasons above, we decided to leave after a couple of hours, causing our experience and entire evening to be ruined. We would like our money back and strongly suggest that you do not book here.
In the claustrophobic living room space, there was a dirty wall, with a low ceiling which was easy to bang your head on. As it was dark and claustrophobic and warning sign would have been helpful. The flooring was sticky, dirty and had rips on it. Just awful and not as described or seen in promo images. When we arrived there was food wrapper on the bedroom floor (cheese string) as pictured.
- Matthew (7/5): - Good facilities Poor parking
- david (1/5): Unsafe, dirty, don’t stay here ! - Unsafe, dirty. Don’t stay here
- Stoyan (10/5): -
- Zimmermann (5/5): No sleep in comfy beds - Music started playing downstairs at full volume from 0730 on a Sunday morning
- Laura (8/5): Fab apartment - Lovely apartment with everything you need. Roberto was lovely and charming Not easy to find so directions could be a bit better. Not enough pillows, if there were spare ones in the wardrobe that would have been amazing
- Terry (1/5): Shithole - Nothing Everything, sheets were dirty, cooker never worked, shower burnt me and overall a dirty hole. Could not pay me to stay there again!!

- Vilius (7/5): Good value, but untidy - Good value anf location. Very untidy, property was not vacuumed in ages, shower is awefull.

No heating in the bathroom at all, blower fan heater
in the room.
- manuela (1/5): Visit family - The location was good Everything else, we came and the property was not cleaned, we asked the person on the mobile number provided by Booking.com to come and clean first no response then we got through, they cleaned parts of it changed the very dirty blood stained linen however the linen was still stained so were the towels it was washed but not properly
Booking.com promised a refund I’m still waiting, their was a weird note on the wall but I’m not sure how genuine it was
- Matthew (10/5): Good private . Good value and clean - Good coms . Clean private . Good value . Nothing
- Gurdeep (10/5): Value for money, exceptional service and availability by the host - The host was available via messaging and phone all the time, during the booking, pre check-in, during check-in and post check-out. Extremely helpful explaining local area too, provided some extra bedding too. The sofa bed is perfect if you are not 6ft, may be better suited for someone around 5.5ft to be fair, other than that everything else was great.
- Rebecca (7/5): It was good, thank you. - The hosts were helpful and the apartment was as described. A little noisy at night.
- Joseph (1/5): Unclean, smelly and cold - Was unclean, chewing gum stuck on the floor, hadn’t been hovered, looked scatty. I ask for a refund which I didn’t receive and booked another hotel. Nothing

- Nometha (6/5): Overall all my reasons for choosing this place was mainly the location - It was a self catering stay the host and staff were very helpful and attentive To make sure that all equipment are working as this is an apartment as guest will be using all facilities in the kitchen
- Patricia (7/5): Good - Friendly and accommodating. Fridge was lovely and cold. Well equipped. Bed was super comfy! Real good location for Reading town. Car park was a super bonus. No room in freezing (wanted to chill drinks quickly)
- Suzanne (10/5): Nice and comfortable 😌 - The host was wonderful. Lovely apartment, comfortable and good location of where we needed to be. Best sleep i had in a while. Just needs decorating and the rug needed hoovering.

- Faith (7/5): Good -
- William (7/5): Nice stay - Nice staff, good size apartment Some doors dont close properly and are slam loudly. Painting and decoration is messy
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (5/5): Awful - The toilet and bath was reasonably clean. The bedding was stained the wardrobe mirrors were cracked cooker dirty mat under the table hadn't been vacuumed. There was a big brown stain on the bedroom ceiling. Stains and marks on most surfaces. The iron had burnt fabric on.the towels were grey instead of white.cigarette burn in the headboard of the bed.t there was a lot of food left in the cupboards even an opened packet of biscuits. Also the water when boiled tasted horrible we had to buy bottles of water.
- Jack (7/5): Good -
- Kadir (4/5): It was really bad experience - There was a poor hygiene and cleanliness problem Cleanliness and hygiene
- Pampam (9/5): Superb -
- Carol (8/5): Very good - It was very clean and near to the town. Nothing
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Host was incredibly helpful and accommodating and was happy to help too. Very happy with the level of customer care
- Lenny (7/5): Good -
- Caitlin (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (7/5): DANNY - The Bed room was clean and very confortable. Very quiet with very good Internet speed. The lady on the phone was super helpful. Thank you The kitchen utensils were not clean. No spong or washing up liquid to clean them yourself thatvis my only disappointment.
- Elouise (8/5): Very good -
- Tony (2/5): Very poor -
- Kaydon (8/5): Was really nice -
- Shahzeb (2/5): A short stay cut even shorter due to the place and how it felt unsafe - Smart Tv The furniture had dust, and a broken glass top on the side table which is not very safe, the floor was not clean along with the kitchen sink. There were empty toiletries that were left in the bathroom.
- Shilu (7/5): Good -
- Anneka (1/5): Would not recommend unless last resort for apartments at this price. - The tv had YouTube and free private parking in the back. Location was difficult to find, Kettle didn’t work, dirty bathroom, doors didn’t close properly, smoke alarms have bags on, people are in a communal area next door to us, the bathroom had flooded and owner came whilst partner was in shower he had to get out in his towel all for the manager to mop the floor as it was leaking / flooding from the toilet/shower corner. Everything was filthy needs a professional deep clean, curtains dirty, leftover stuff in fridge/cupboards, even the mop and sponges were brown, had to buy my own sponges and hand wash. Sofa uncomfortable tv wouldn’t let us connect in lounge area only bedroom. Didn’t feel clean. Stains on bed, the communal toilet was outside the room no privacy, can hear everything upstairs and next door, the neighbours music was blasting loud from morning to late night had the worst migraine and couldn’t sleep in peace. The parking was rocky road in back and the back door was left unlocked open, there was a crackhead trying to sell me perfumes as I came down the stairs. Felt like a hostel and left feeling disgusting and was not peaceful/relaxing/comfortable at all.
- Chelsea-jade (1/5): Bad -
- Alexandra (10/5): Perfect apartament - Perfect location. Near center. The best apartament. Same like in the pictures. Xx
- Obla (9/5): Superb -
- Mandy (4/5): Won’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend - Nice tv set up , lots of toiletries Location was in shared house which looked like bedsits with shared bathrooms, one shared bathroom was out front door, there was several people drinking outside entrance, music from shop that owns property very loud , area looked rundown , didn’t feel safe
- Leeanne (1/5): the worst place I've ever been too - it's was horrendous.. it resembled a hostel.. lots of people hanging around.. hair dressers underneath apartment blasting music all day long.. everything was filthy dirty.. we were locked in a huge apartment block at night with no keys to get out if there was an emergency.. people hanging around the hallways.. it was a nightmare.. we stayed one night even though we booked for two.. couldn't wait to leave there everything was horrendous
- Rudrabahadur (1/5): Bad -
- Aran (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mabuza (10/5): Exceptional - Staff and the apartment was homely The was no key to the front door so you have to get the host to open the door
- Paula (7/5): Was perfect for our needs. We had been to a concert so only needed a comfy, clean bed and bathroom. - The property was ideal for a bed for the night. The surrounding area was rundown.
- Loretta (1/5): Bad. -
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Great value for money
- Walmsley (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (1/5): Bad -
- Riza (7/5): Good -
- Dr (2/5): Has potential to be better - The staff seemed nice enough but the whole set-up was amateurish and lacking in the essentials. Hot water was intermittent (at times nothing came out the tap and sometimes only luke warm water came out) so 1. I couldn't have a bath meaning I had to fill the bath with cold water and use the kettle to warm the water and 2. I couldn't wash the dishes properly. Does the apartment share a boiler with another one?
There was a lot of noise from the people upstairs with audible footsteps late at night.
There were no oven gloves or tea towel in the kitchen, and it was impossible to operate the electric hob (no instructions).
The "heated" towel rail in the bathroom did not appear to be connected to a power supply, no clear place where a switch might have been.
It would have been good to have a hand towel in the bathroom, separate to the single bath towel I was provided.
I would not stay here again but I do think the place has potential to be great if the basic issues are fixed.
- Nick (2/5): Very poor -
- Matt (7/5): Good -
- Amber (7/5): Good -
- Tony (5/5): Passable -
- Shanice (3/5): Great slept but we won't stay there again - We comfortable with bed , we don't have complain of noise. We slept very well also it was lovely had a bath but bit small it is ok
We are apologizing to lost your key We felt like there only limits n felt like hotel not apartment because there don't have cooking tray and kitchen knife wasn't sharp enough so we have to buy a new knife , tray and tin opener. Also in cupboard have rotten food. When we arrive and we could smell really werid kitchen so we have to clean it. TV was really loud we couldn't turn it down because remote wouldn't work.
Be honest money that wouldn't value that price.
Also my girlfriend was allergic of bed sheet duvet.
- Romario (6/5): The booking process was smooth, the process of making arrangements for access was smooth and the overall stay at the apa - Location and facilities available. N/A
- Miss (10/5): Exceptional - The bedroom
- Moroto (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious had everything you needed Couldn't get the TVs to work (no sound)
- Danielle (3/5): Good location to reading festival, but not much else positive to say. - Location to the festival was walking distance. It wasn’t very clean, shower/bath was dirty, used shampoo bottles and shower gels, no proper hand wash, the televisions didn’t work, spiders all over the walls and cobwebs, the light in the hallway flickered all night. Windows were filthy. The communication with the owner wasn’t great when we were unable to find the car park. She was a nice lady but would’ve been nice to hear from her prior to checking in when I informed her of our arrival time. Car park wasn’t very secure and no one informed us our car lights were left on and we ended up with a dead battery, even though she said she would be around all night.
- Sam (1/5): Bad - Nothing I left after 10 mins of being showed the
Room I had a van full of tools I didn’t not feel safe leaving my van where it was parked. The room itself was just so far from what I’m used to, I couldn’t stay there. As a 26 year old bloke working away from home I felt unsafe there so I left the keys and booked in a village hotel.
- Victoria (4/5): Very basic and not very inviting. - The rooms were decorated very nicely and were clean. The property was made up of other apartments and rooms. It did not feel inviting or very safe. Almost an impression that some of the people were on drugs. There was loud music coming from other properties. The parking was not clear where to go and as a result was told to leave my car as that would be fine, only to have an altercation with the neighbour who was taking a picture of my car, pointing out I would get a ticket. Be careful where you park and do not park anywhere where there are 'private parking' signs, even if the host says to leave it there. As I didn't feel safe as a woman on my own, I left and went elsewhere. There was not enough kitchen utensils if you did want a drink or cook etc. I had to have my gin in a cocktail glass.
- Emily (1/5): Awful - Apartment is above the owners hair salon who told us on a arrival would be open until 2am which seemed odd for a hair salon.. when we arrived at 11pm there was no work happening just a group of 4 women with loud music and shouting/laughing , this went on until 5am. Very little sleep and no sound proofing in the apartment, we watched tv to try and drown out the noise but could still hear them over the tv. Felt incredibly uncomfortable as could hear arguing going on downstairs around 3am. The bed was slanted and woke up aching all over. Property parking very hard to find. Overall the worst experience I have ever had in a paid accommodation. Would like to warn others never to use this accommodation and they should be removed from booking.com. No consideration for us and the fact we paid to stay in her apartment. We left early hours to go home and sleep.
- Sarmad (10/5): Exceptional -

- Jessica (10/5): Great little place. - Lovely little place, host was amazing! So friendly and helpful. She always replied straight away and was great with everything. The neighbours were also very friendly and helpful. Very welcoming, lovely all round. N/A
- Dan (8/5): Does the job - Good location, had all the facilities we needed. Nothing, in fairness we only stayed for one night so very little time to form much of an opinion. Host was friendly and welcoming and there was nothing wrong with the place so all good 🙂
- Angela (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jane (2/5): Very poor -
- Christian (5/5): Passable -
- Nicola (2/5): Won’t be booking again - Druggies partying in the car park out the back, no clear indication of how to access the property, people knocking on the door in the early hours and a general unsafe feeling
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Andrew (9/5): As Jarvis Cocker from Pulp would say 'Different Class ...' - After a much delayed train journey, I received the warmest of welcomes, an unfussy, efficient check in and a quick whiz round the facilities. They were way better than I could have expected, every aspect in every room had a little extra touch that made me feel well looked after ... Everything I needed, and many things I didn't but that could have been useful, was close to hand, I didn't have to search for anything ... A simple little touch like opening all the windows for my arrival (it was a searingly hot day), just made the difference ... I had a couple of quick questions as I headed out for the evening, answered and dealt with without fuss ... I have stayed in many exclusive hotels / serviced apartments around the world and they didn't reach these levels ... Leaving ... After such a great experience I wanted to stay longer, but with an early train to catch I didn't have that option ...
