• Tan (10/5): A relaxing and restful stay. Will visit again! - Location was perfect, not too close to the Main Street but convenient enough to get groceries and close to many eateries. The cottage was tastefully decorated with paintings and antique furniture. Love the tiger lily that the host bought for us, to watch them bloom over the 3 days was a beautiful experience. Enjoyed the veranda at the cottage , watched sunset over wines was romantic! Did a few walking trails around the place. Wonderfully peaceful! Maybe can sharpen the knives or provide some sharpening tool , just a suggestion. Everything was excellent!

• Rose (10/5): A little bit of Paradise - What a paradise! From start to finish, our stay could not have been better! Wonderful hosts - Andy and Mandy were a joy and so helpful and informative about the area. The little extras (wine, cookies and fruits just to name a few) were very much appreciated. The accommodation is new and beautifully maintained. Comfortable beds and a wonderful dining room and outdoor seating area. The washer/dryer was a big plus! The accommodation is on a quiet road with a beautiful outlook over a vineyard but also a 2 minute drive from Hahndorf. This was the best and favourite accommodation during our South Australian holiday.
• David (9/5): A delightful country cottage! - Hahndorf is a pleasant town with many interesting shops and plenty of cafes and restaurants, but it is also very busy and we were pleased that Hill Cottage was well away from the hustle and bustle, a short drive from town in peaceful countryside surrounded by vineyards, rolling hills and lush paddocks. The cottage is very comfortable, spacious, tastefully furnished and decorated, impeccably clean, in excellent condition and with a well equipped kitchen and laundry. We particularly appreciated the extra touches generously provided by our friendly and hospitable hosts - a large bowl of fresh fruit, a vase of beautiful roses, a bottle of wine and chocolates with juice, fresh bread and plenty of breakfast provisions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were two bar fridges in the kitchen but no proper freezer, which we found inconvenient as we had purchased some frozen items before we arrived.

It was the little extra touches such as a bottle of local wine, juice, milk, flowers, and lots of breakfast items. Could not fault anything

Everything was perfect, from the comfortable king size bed to the well-stocked kitchen, which even included breakfast supplies.  We especially appreciated the peace and quiet, which made our getaway so relaxing. ​The hosts were friendly and very approachable, making us feel right at home. The cottage was also incredibly cozy thanks to the 2 air conditioning units. We were also impressed that all the supplies, like the shampoo, body wash, and washing detergent, were all full and ready to go. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus that we so appreciated! This is one of the best places we have ever stayed, both in Australia and overseas. Loved patting the hosts 2 dogs, they were beautiful.   We will be back!!! We didnt book more nights 😞 😔

As busy the town was, we weren’t impacted by the noise. - A quiet and beautiful location, located on the fringe of Hahndorf. Our host communicated with us and the house suited our needs for the weekend. Only issues was with a outside door, just needs an extra safety lock inside please

Both Andy and Mandy were attentive without being intrusive; even helped complete our load of laundry when we couldn't understand the in-house machines! Would stay again in a heartbeat, and for a longer time. All good.
• Stereotypicalmice (10/5): Amazing hospitality in a beautiful location - We came to Adelaide Hills for our friend's wedding and the cottage was an amazing place to stay. Andy and Mandy were so welcoming and the cottage itself was immaculate and well provisioned. As most of our visit involved wedding events, we didn't get as much time as we'd have liked in the cottage but I'd love to come back and stay again.

Hill cottage was very well equipped, clean and spacious. We all enjoyed the breakfast provisions and welcome bottle of wine. Andy and Mandy were lovely hosts we would definitely stay again.

Location was amazing quiet & such beautiful surroundings Yorkies & chocolates were well received & amazing. Andy was an awesome host he explained all l needed for an amazing stay& learning some history of the beautiful cottage was awesome. Unfortunately didn’t meet Mandy but I spoke to her on the phone & she was just as amazing & helpful. . Nothing not to like everything you needed was thought of and supplied
• Maree (7/5): Great location, poor WiFi - Friendly and obliging owners, with a great location less than 1.5 km from Hahndorf centre. Nothing was too much trouble! Bread, jams etc, cereal, tea, coffee, fruit juice, fresh fruit and home cooked bikkies all supplied (yummy!). Well stocked house with all you could need for a pleasant stay. Lots of Victorian furniture and comfy large chocolate brown velour sofa, with huge dining table. Hot shower and mattress toppers for each bed were appreciated. Stunning sunsets over the adjoining vineyard, with kangaroos featuring too.. delightful! For us, the bed was way too firm, but everyone is different. We did use every mattress topper available to make it more comfortable. The biggest let down for us was the internet connection, which was like stepping back to the old dial up, with constant buffering and the connection dropping out. Made streaming on Netflix or SBS on demand very challenging, but again, may not be a concern for everyone.
