- Letizia (8/5): - The flat is lovely and in a quiet area overlooking Funchal. I loved hearing the sound of the little fountain outside, I found it very relaxing. The kitchen is well furnished with the essentials to cook. The bathroom was really nice and the shower had hot water all the time. The bed was also comfortable. The bedroom doesn't have a window so it can feel a bit stuffy and the walls are a bit thin. A small broom would be helpful to add to clean up a bit during the stay.

- Merin (10/5): - The host is very kind and welcoming. Although I was not able to meet him, he gave very clear instructions on accessing the keys for the house. He even offered a private transport from the airport to the property if we wanted, and the house itself was in a great location in Funchal, not too far from things. It's close to a supermarket so we got some food, close to a bus stop and not too far from the town by car. The property is very nice and well kept, a very cute place to stay and I would definitely recommend!! We even received some traditional cake by the host in the house which was very sweet and we really enjoyed our stay. :)

- Rachel (6/5): - Very clean . Helpful staff. Lovely garden No wardrobe. 30 litre boiler so hot water only lasts 5 minutes. Only 1 window. No heating or extra blanket although probably not needed most of the time usually. It's up a very very very steep hill ( most of madiera)

If you are driving keep in mind you will have to park on very steep and narrow street but there was no issue finding the spot at any time.

- Biddiscombe (6/5): Pleasant - location out of town. you need a car or take taxi. Quiet location. Kitchen v basic no oven. I didn't cook in apartment. It was a two bedroom apartment but only had sofa for 2 people. The light in main living space v bright, a bit clinical. New pillows required. quite basic.
- Emma (8/5): Great spot for a taste of Funchal - The place is very clean and nice, we appreciated having so much space! Check in was easy which was helpful as our flight got in very late and the host was helpful. Also it is a bit further out of town but we liked the area a lot, felt more local and less touristy and you get great views being up high. We ended up having a bit of trouble sleeping as it was very hot at night and there was no fan or air conditioning. We couldn’t leave the window open because of the mosquitoes and the window cover doesn’t let in much air. A fan would be a really helpful addition!
- Alex (7/5): Great space, nice location however having a protection net from insects would help getting a better sleep at night - I really enjoyed the view over the city, kitchen facilities as well The place has no AC which I knew about, however because it’s really hot inside I had to have windows open. The balcony door does not have a net to protect from mosquitoes so we had to deal with mosquito bites during the entire stay, if we had balcony door closed, it would be no air inside and would be extremely hot

- Jthonestly (9/5): if you have a car, super - host christina was super, friendly, always helpful, apartment fine in quiet neighborhood. lack of a/c was not a problem all fairly good, unfortunately the property located on a very very steep street so no walking around the neighborhood for me since i use a care, nothing immediately convenient so a car would be needed even though about 1 km to to shops and restaurants.

- Lynne (10/5): Beautiful stay! - This was in a great location, a little away from the busyness of Funchal but still close to everything (if driving, I had a car). I have been traveling for a bit and staying in hostels, so this was a fantastic change of pace with lots of room, a comfortable bed, a kitchen, a washing machine, and everything else I needed. The view out the kitchen window was stunning, I could see the ocean and it was beautiful during the sunset. The peaceful garden/patio was a nice place to enjoy meals. There weren’t many outlets throughout the flat, but there was an extension cord with three outlets in the bedroom that was handy.

- Marlena (6/5): Independent apartment but far from the marina - Independent apartment with full eqiupment kitchen, terrace with table and chairs, good view, tv in bedroom If you don't have a car - there is so long distance to marina, there isn't nice when are you tired after hiking (buses are rarely), bed was uncomfortable and creaking (I think it was the worst thing about this place), the bedding felt damp and when apartment was close there was not nice smell (moisture), mosuitos in bathroom and bedroom...

Cristina is very welcoming and the place was perfect situated to explore the hole island the mosquitoes can be annoying. Make sure to close the bedroom and keep the front door close in the evening when the lights are on inside if you want to avoid some nasty bites
- Csaba (10/5): Great place to stay when in Madeira - Great location, just a 20minutes walk from Funchal centre. It’s fairly high on the hill so you will have excellent views. There is a lovely bakery down the road with great coffees and superb staff. Lovely place, with private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a living area. Cristina is a superb host and was always very helpful whenever we had a question about airport transfers or where to park at the location. Great place to stay when in Madeira, easy access to Monte and to the roads to hiking places as well as to the motorway when travelling during the day. There is a petrol station close by as well.

Quiet place, amazing view, fantastic small garden. Thank you for the nice stay, we enjoyed it! The bedroom does not have a window, so you can let the fresh air through the entry door.

- Luca (9/5): Memorable stay in Funchal - Very spacious apartment, Cristina was very present and helpful, couldn't ask for better service, we had a problem with the warm water in the bathroom, but it was tackled and solved as soon as possible, bus stop just a few steps away from the apartment Warm water problem that was later fixed, very steep walk to the apartment but easily avoidable by taking the bus
- Sarah (3/5): Nice host but ... - Cristina was very helpful and always responded to messages very promptly. She arranged the car hire directly for us and we were met at the airport by the car hire company. Cristina met us at the apartment and showed us around and said she was always on-hand to help as she only lived upstairs. The apartment was a decent size for three of us. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, although it did lack a pair a scissors and a dustpan and brush. We had a fabulous holiday in Madeira and we will definitely be returning to the island. As previous guests had stated, there is a big problem with ants in the flat. We thought going in February there would not be a problem, but we were mistaken. They are mainly in the kitchen area although we did find some in the bathroom too. The only safe place to store food (including cereal and biscuits) is the fridge. We made the mistake of thinking the high cupboard would be safe for our cereal, but by the next morning the bag was completely crawling with ants, inside and out. Even worse than the ants, the main shower did not have a wall attachment to hold the shower head so if you were to use the shower, you would have to hold the shower head the whole time making it impossible to wash your hair. Luckily (or not) there was another shower in the first bedroom, unfortunately this did not have an extractor fan and even with the window open, the bed sheets constantly felt damp. The dampness was so bad that our clothes hanging in the wardrobe alcove felt damp to put on and by the end of the week our suitcase (which we stored in the alcove) had mould on it!

- Ana (9/5): I loved it! - The host was welcoming, the garden is very beautiful to just stay outside and breathe the fresh air, drink a beer or a cup of coffee, the couch in the living room is cozy and spacious, the location is excellent (space to park the car on the street + bus stop 3 minutes away from it), it was helpful to have a kitchen and not rely on eating out everytime + make tea, coffee, snacks etcetera. I would have loved to have an oven in the kitchen as well. The bedroom is in the back of the little apartment and doesn't have windows (not an issue, but it's harder to ventilate).

- Maja (7/5): Good - The apartment has a stunning view! It's very well equipped, the bed is comfortable. There is a full duvet and an electric heater so it's warm even on colder days. Cristina was a really nice host. Parking on the street is a little challenging (very steep) but there was no issues with availability. There was quite a lot of ants in the kitchen so you have to be careful and not leave food out. The bathroom was clean but it had a little moist smell.
- Craig (5/5): Wifi didn't work 😑 - The place is fine. There was no wifi in my location. They have wifi but I could never connect to it as it kept saying "connected without internet" she tried to fix it but a technician couldn't come out until after I was gone. So the place is fine if you don't need wifi, but if you need wifi I suggest you look elsewhere. I will be back in the new year, but will have to look elsewhere as I need wifi.

Our host was so nice and hospitality, she answered very fast and made her best for us. Totally recommend this place for holidays.
- Krzysztof (9/5): Great place for two people planning a longer stay - The owner is a very nice and helpful person. All the basic facilities were there and having a washing machine is a great advantage, especially if you plan a longer stay and a lot of hiking on the trails. The equipment was not very new but clean and functional. The apartments are located not far from the city center and quite close to a big supermarket with basically everything you need. Just be advised that the streets nearby are very steep and take it into consideration while walking or parking your car. The only significant disadvantage that I can find is that the apartment we got had only one window located in the kitchen, the living room and bedroom had no windows. Also, the quality of Wi-Fi was not good and it disconnected a lot in the evenings not being able to connect back.
