Guest Reviews
- courtny foland (10/5): - Very peaceful and quiet, location was amazing, loved the shower, the beds were very comfortable and everything was clean, really enjoyed being able to bring our pet with us. We hope to come back next year. The fence in the back yard being damaged made it where we kept our pet up front with us. AC in the twins bedroom quit working so that room stayed warm. But all in all not much to say. It was definitely worth the money.
- Carmen E (10/5): Absolutely wonderful place! - A charming immaculate cottage .
The location is very convenient to everything . We enjoyed our stay in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Our dogs were really happy and this was like our home away from home! No problem!
- Barbara (8/5): - Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Great response to questions. Would have liked closer to town but not too far

- Jakeline (10/5): A wonderful stay in a beautiful and well-maintained place. - Everything was excellent! very beautiful, clean, well-located, and overall a lovely place. Nothing. Everything was perfect.
- Andrew (9/5): Nice set back simple family friendly retreat. - Nice place makes you feel at home. The beach is just a couple miles away very convenient if you not looking for beach front property. I love that it’s pet friendly and has a great size front and back fenced yard. House is a bit older which adds to the charm. I was surprised to see a fully stocked Keurig with creamer and also a grill out back. Full washer and dryer all the little things that make
You feel very welcome here. Cant really think of anything I didn’t like about the place. It was very welcoming.
- Mark (8/5): - The hosts were extremely responsive to our questions and needs while we were there.
- Chelsie (7/5): - After plugging in the heaters it blew the breakers for a moment, a few outlets didn’t work as well as the ac in one of the rooms
- Marsha (8/5): No frills, excellent location for downtown festival activities - The cottage was clean and adequate for our needs and the location was excellent. We were in St. Augustine for the Celtice Festival and this location was only 1.5 miles from the venue. It was also pet friendly with a nice fenced in yard for our dog. No hooks in bathroom to hang clothes on and the tub was very slippery. We ended up buying a bathmat as we are both seniors and did not want to fall. There were no lamps in living room, so only light was a bright overhead light. Overall, it was adequate, with no frills, and served itsE purpose as a place to stay. Most of our time was spent downtown St. Augustine.
- Victoria (8/5): Interesting find and good value, with nice touches to make the stay more comfortable - Bedrooms good, beds comfy, kitchen well equipped, hot water Sleeping in the den/spare room with temperature of zero degrees C outside and no proper heating. Gas fires didn’t seem safe.. better suited to 2 people or use of bedrooms only during winter

- Susy (10/5): Buena - El espacio era grande. Estaba todo limpio. Que el agua de la bañera se quedaba atorado y no bajaba rápido
- Amanda (8/5): Would probably stay again just being extra blankets lol - It was very close to down town and in a cute quiet neighborhood. No central heat and no door on the 3rd room
- Evelyn (9/5): A warm welcoming environment. Good communication - Lots of space. Clean environment. Games to play books to read. Coffee and tea provided. A little to far to walk to downtown area
- Chris (10/5): -
- alex (8/5): Maison authentique près du centre-ville - L emplacement et l authenticité de la maison Le jardin
- John (10/5): - Convenient to down town N/A
- Chicelle (9/5): It was worth it! -
- Mary (10/5): Very enjoyable and would stay again! Host responded quickly & was very accommodating. - Older little house but plenty of room. Comfy beds. Very cute & clean. Close to attractions in downtown. Nice coffee station, some spices even though I didn't cook there were some if needed. Several games to keep kids entertained, we didn't use them no kids with us.... but nice for a family with kids. Wifi & T.V. streaming service. Book with suggestion and carryout menu. Nice yard for my dog to enjoy. We really enjoyed staying here and the attractions in downtown, Christmas lights & fort, Ghost tour in St. Augustine. Definitely recommend staying in this cute little cottage, don't let the age of the place scare you......leave that to the ghost of St. Augustine!!! We had to stay outside with fur baby(but we always do) Had to keep our fur baby out in front yard.....because there was some broken glass in side yard heading to back yard. But he's a very good boy and listens well, so he stayed out of harms way! The driveway a bit steep & wished we could have parked side by side the two cars....but no biggie & Spring street, is a bit narrow. Toilet was a bit tight to use.....LOL

- Bruce (8/5): just like visiting grandma‘s house in Saint Augustine - Super cozy. It was really nice to be in a neighborhood pretty much like where we live currently. It was easy to get Uber back-and-forth to all of the areas in Saint Augustine. Also, it was easy to get Uber eats to deliver food as needed. So the location was very good for the value. we did not like the street light in the backyard that was attached to the shed only 6 feet above the ground. The light was overwhelming in the bedrooms. We did manage to get something up to cover the light, but it was extremely bright. Also, the shower did not drain. The tub was clean, but the water would just stand for quite a while while you were showering.
- Melissa (8/5): Cute for a large family. - I was pleased to find that there were 4 beds. From reviews, I had the impression it was two beds and maybe a fold-out sofa. Everything was cute and clean, too. Good value. I thought we were on the other side of the water where we could walk (we like even long walks) to St.George St, but the area wasn't walkable. An Uber there and back wasn't very expensive, though.

- Susan (10/5): It was wonderful! - The cutest, cozy cottage house and had all the comforts of home. I loved that it was our own house in a neighborhood as if it was our own home. Never had even a negative thought about it the whole time we were there. It was a fantastic place. I’ve told everyone I know about it.

- Betty (8/5): Very good -
- Ana (10/5): Wonderful experience. Nice place to stay in. - Clean, a lot of space and great location. Nice host. Nothing too serious, but the bathtub draining was slow
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Desiree (9/5): Cozy Cottage Retreat - This property was cozy, clean and close to the historic street. A short 30 min walk or a quick ride made the location desirable. It was a quiet neighborhood and the house had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated how responsive and helpful the host was too. We had our pets with us and it was nice having a yard to let the dog out in. Everyone was very comfortable here! We would stay here again and recommend it to others. No complaints.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Eileen (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): BEST LODGING EXPERIENCE EVER! MINIMINAL STRESS THAT NORMALLY COMES W/ UR (+1) B'N 4 FUR BABIES! :-) - We absolutely LOVED...LOVED everything! The property appeared to be small at first glance, but surprisingly it was in fact VERY spacious on the inside. There was plenty of room for my husband, myself, and 4 dogs!! Yes, 4 dogs (one German Sheppard/Golden Retriever mix, and 3 Boykin Spaniel/Lab mix). The highlight of the property was that the WHOLE property was fenced in, both front and back yards for our fur babies. We were able to let them out, allow them to get all their running and playing out of their system, and didn't have to worry about them running off. The area/location of the property was very quite and peaceful as well, and not far from anywhere we wanted to go. It was nice to have shopping (Dollar General, etc) close by. With the home being equipped as a normal/average home, we were able to grill and prepare some meals there which of course helped on costs. This was BY FAR the best lodging experience that our family and pets have ever been on!! The entire experience over exceeded our expectations by far. The host replied any time there was a question in a very timely manner as well. This certainly will NOT be our last visit there for sure. There was NOT much to dislike at all, and two things I am about to mention is minor and not a game changer. The first thing was about the shower. While trying to shower the tub did fill up with water pretty quickly. It seemed to possibly have a drain issue, which I'm sure after using some drain cleaner, could be corrected fairly easy. The second thing was that there was a foul odor throughout the home which seemed to be coming from the window units. I'm not sure if the units were just older and needed a filter change, but they sure did their job overall. My husband & I had allowed a pot of Lysol and water boil, then turned down for a better fragrance, and purchased some air freshening spray to use. However, the home WAS WELL KEPT and had cleaning supplies for use prior to our departure.
- Patricia (8/5): Very good - It was cozy and comfortable. I felt the area may have been a little sketchy for my liking. People walking the street at night screaming and yelling at each other.
- Raynard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Injuredeagle (10/5): Exceptional - I hesitate to say good things because I want to keep this little cozy place to myself. It's totally like if you grew up in Florida it is like your Grandma's place on the beach. I say that in the best way.
Nice quiet area. All the amenities and those cute personal fireplaces!
- Elizabeth (10/5): It was very pleasant - The property is so nice it’s huge and it has a nice yard as well it’s pet friendly too for no extra coast and the location is so close to all attractions plus free parking you can’t ask for more then that
- Cheryl (5/5): Overall it suited our needs well. Perfect for our dog. - It was dog friendly and had a fenced in yard. It was overall clean and had kitchenware, tea and coffee and water in the refrigerator. Lots of linens, including warm blankets. It was a cold night. The main heater kept going off and it was a bit chilly inside. There was another heater that worked but it was on the other end of the house. There were dead ants in that room as well. But otherwise clean and comfortable. I was warm and comfortable with the blankets provided.
- Deborah (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. Certainly better than a hotel. Quiet, private. Well taken care of inside. Thank you. - We liked that we were not in a hotel with the dogs. It was easier for them to settle. Lots of room to walk them. The place was super clean and comfortably decorated. Was nice to have a fenced in yard. Unfortunately it was not safe to let the dogs just go out on their own. Poop in the side and back yard (cat? Dog?) and an open shed in the back with who knows what inside.
- John (10/5): Responsive management, clean, and comfortable. - Clean, cute, and comfortable. Being completely nit picky and not even that big of deal, I guess the windows because it was a nice night out. Otherwise nothing at all.
