Guest Reviews
- Carmel (10/5): -
- Arthur (10/5): Gemütliche Unterkunft auf dem Land - Hell, sauber, gemütlich Durch das grosse Fenster Nachmittags sehr heiss
- Rea (10/5): A welcome retreat after a series of hotels on our trip, great accommodation to chill out in the evening - Quiet location and very comfortable, delicious treat left by owners much appreciated TV a little on the small side
- Andrea (10/5): A comfortable and pleasant week in beautiful surroundings. - Peaceful location, comfortable with everything we needed. Attractively furnished.
- Elizabeth (10/5): A really great property, very comfortable, we will definitely return for another stay -
- ANDREW (10/5): Good, clean and friendly accommodation. - Spacious and clean A little nearer the sea would be good, but minor criticism.
- Graham (10/5): First time visiting Cornwall and we couldn’t have wished for a better location out every day and did all of Cornwall wit - Clean well presented host was very accommodating and always available if we needed anything which we didn’t Nothing
- Judi (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely quiet,, clean and comfy. Beautiful Lodge Nothing that we didn't like.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Private and well maintained. Good location for a base if you fancy travelling around exploring.
- Caroline (1/5): Didn't enjoy staying here at all, massively overpriced - -Leaving - Mattress too soft and like it had collapsed, can see there was similar feedback left in June and not addressed, it hurt my back
- Nowhere comfortable to sit, sofa uncomfortable, chairs uncomfortable. It wouldn't be to many people's liking as it was all cheap student style seating.
- Bathroom could do with a major upgrade, shower enclosure not very nice, shower tray need silicone and a lot of areas needs painting. Flooring patch job in areas too. Poor this also hasn't been addressed.
- Could have been cleaner in areas, seems the cleaner doesn't notice much.
- Bedsheets had blood patches on, disappointed this wasn't checked, it was changed by us but the bedding had a smell, I asked the host to change them next day, but still not nice to experience.
-There was NOT just a tiny mark of blood on the bedsheets, there were several patches of blood on the sheets, very concerning that the host stated a tiny mark and that even that is acceptable. Does a bottle of wine make up for it? No it doesn't at all and again concerning she thinks it does and she did not apologise 'profusely' either, in fact made out we were unreasonable for wanting the bed changed.
- EV charging expensive, but no other choices in the area. Another reason to not chose this place to stay.
-This property does not fit the price charged.
Would have liked to stay elsewhere to be honesty, but we paid so much for this that we had to stick it out. Didn't enjoy staying here at all, to be honest I have stayed in better Holiday Inn's and wasn't charged a rip off price for the privilege either.
- Darren (10/5): Very relaxing and Beautiful lodge and lovely hosts - Beautiful location lovely and quiet Excellent lodge lovely and clean Everything you need to make your stay relaxing On arrival we found Helen but a fresh bottle of milk in fridge and a packed of traditional Cornish biscuits nice touch after a long journey 👍 There’s Nothing to dislike about this property
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely accommodation and welcome from the hosts who shared local area knowledge with me for walking and cycling, very quite and peacefull location with access to cycling and walking routes on the doorstep. Highly recommended
- Olson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Idyllic country escape - Beautiful, spacious modern accommodation, set in peaceful rural property.
- Ges (8/5): Very good - 2nd stay and not disappointed. The weather
- Rachel (8/5): Lovely, central and peaceful. - Location is nice and central to all locations of Cornwall. Easy to find and instructions on how to get to location are provided by the owners of the lodge.
Lodge was clean and easy to navigate. Instructions for all appliances were in the folder along with locations for food, laundrette and others.
The owners are lovely and were very welcoming when we came and provided us with clear instruction on how to find the lodge if location did not appear on maps. The only issue we had was with the mattress as it had collapsed in the centre for my fiancé.
- Karen (10/5): We had the best weekend the hosts were so accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. The property is beautiful. We rea - The property is immaculate in a beautiful setting so peaceful and relaxing
- Eleanor (10/5): A peaceful and comfortable lodge with a beautiful log burner - The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The log fire was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and pans. You will need to bring some oil for cooking as there aren’t any cupboard items in the kitchen. This isn’t a criticism (as we knew what we were signing up for) but there aren’t any convenience stores within walking distance- just the saint piran bike cafe and the bon appetit cafe.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and clean, great facilities and everything we could need, a perfect mini break !
- Lindsay (10/5): perfect place to relax for a few days from busy travels. hosts very pleasant and helpful. - roomy, light and well equipped tricky to find and best to first find the location in daylight. once you know the laneways it’s an ideal hideaway but central to nearby locations
