• Kenneth (4/5): Lovey rooms, terrible service - Beautiful rooms and clean, warm pool. Staff were unprofessional and inattentive. Spent most of the time semi dressed and lying down using their phones. The eating area is upstairs and the waiting staff stayed downstairs so you couldn't order dessert without going to find them. The food was reasonable but the only dessert they offered was ice cream. Also, don't expect the advertised cake, they don't have it.

• Laura (9/5): - Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Wir hatten zu 5. richtig viel Platz. Alles wirkt recht neu. Auch der Pool war toll, eine kleine Oase zum toben für die Kids und entspannen für uns. Alles entsprach exakt den Bildern. Das junge Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir haben auch nach unserer Safari noch Frühstück bekommen, obwohl die Frühstückszeit eigentlich schon vorbei war. Die Dachterasse ist sehr schön, auch wenn man dort den Verkehrslärm etwas hört. Der Besitzer hat uns per WhatsApp eine Tour in den Minneriya Nationalpark organisiert, die wir bequem im Hotel bezahlen konnten (ca. 185 $ zu 5. in einem Jeep). Zum Lions Rock sind es nur 20 Minuten (Mietwagen), sodass man ihn gut zum Sonnenaufgang besteigen kann (öffnet um 5:30). Das Abendessen hat uns nicht so geschmeckt und war auch verhältnismäßig teuer. Es wird auch nicht immer angeboten. Beim Frühstück gab es zum Filterkaffee keine frische Milch (nur Milchpulver), den Cappuccino musste man extra zahlen. Da hatten wir aufgrund des Namens der Unterkunft mehr erhofft ;).

Dal bar si può ordinare qualcosa sia per colazione che per cena L’organizzazione dei servizi potrebbe migliorare, in generale quelli per cui abbiamo chiesto supporto ( giro nei villaggi e transfer per pingdurala rock) avevano un costo un po’ elevato rispetto a quanto richiesto se ci si organizza da soli.

• Peter (10/5): Prachtige plaats die we als gezin iedereen aan kunnen raden. - Prachtige plek ❤️ de mensen waren zo vriendelijk we voelden ons hier thuis als gezin. Goed onderhouden, eerlijke en betrokken eigenaar. Aanrader!

Das Personal und der Service sind gut. Teils aber auch etwas unorganisiert. Aber alle dort seeeehr nett. Abendessen wird von Auswärts geliefert. Ist in Ordnung wenn man es weiß, aber trotzdem muss man fast eine Stunde Wartezeit einkalkulieren.

• Erik (6/5): Houd niet over - Heerlijke koffie, beste die we hebben gehad in Sri Lanka. Lekker zwembad. De medewerkers zijn wat passief en traag. De kamer was na een dag afwezigheid niet opgeruimd, dat gebeurde pas toen we bij terugkomst vroegen om schone handdoeken. De hygiëne laat over het geheel te wensen over. Bij het uitchecken volgde een negatieve verrassing, ze accepteren een creditcard, maar enkel tegen 8% (!) surcharge.
• Alessandra (7/5): Un buon alloggio per un breve soggiorno a Dambulla - La camera era molto bella e funzionale per stare con i bambini e allo stesso tempo avere un poi di intimità. I bambini hanno adorato il soppalco. L'acqua calda della doccia era molto debole e ci sono state diverse interruzioni di corrente (non credo fosse colpa dell'hotel) che quindi hanno messo fuori uso wi-fi e aria condizionata. Il personale era molto gentile ma avendo trascorso un mese in sri lanka devo dire che la qualità della cucina era sufficiente ma non particolarmente buona.

La piscine était vraiment appréciable après nos excursions. Il serait bien de mettre un rideau au dessus de la porte car le jour était vraiment présent rapidement.

Wij zouden deze plek zeker aanrader om even lekker te genieten en uitstapjes te maken naar vooral Sigirya (Miniriya national park en beklimmen van Lions rock en/of Pidurangala). Voor een paar euro brengt de taxi je vanuit het hotel naar Sigiriya. Personeel is heel vriendelijk.

• Jessica (1/5): Absoluut niet de klasse die je verwacht voor het bedrag - De kamer was top en het personeel was erg vriendelijk Het zwembad was te ranzig voor woorden en zou snel gemaakt worden. Uiteindelijk was deze pas gereed op onze vertrekdag dus hier hebben wij geen gebruik van kunnen maken. Daar wilden we een korting voor maar omdat booking.com ons al een korting had gegeven (omdat ik genius level 3 ben) kon dit niet? Lijkt me dat het los staat van elkaar. Daarnaast zou je bij het coffeehouse ook een uitgebreide koffiekaart verwachten bij het ontbijt maar daar moet je allemaal veel extra geld voor betalen. En de wifi werkt niet.

• SANDRA (7/5): Acogedor pero mejorable - Es bastante nuevo, habitación acogedora. Tiene piscina, aunque no hicimos uso de ella. El desayuno normal. Habían dos chicos muy jóvenes al cargo, no sabían mucho inglés. Decidimos cenar en el alojamiento y tardaron más de 45 minutos en preparar dos platos! Al día siguiente en el desayuno, lo mismo… tardaron mucho en servir y al final perdimos más tiempo del esperado en salir del hotel. No había nadie más en el alojamiento, por eso no entendimos que fuera todo tan lento. Al irnos querían cobrar una tasa extra, en la reserva de Booking no lo indicaba. Al final no la pagamos.

The fresh juice was delicious. Good location to check out the Cave Temple. As expected there were some insects but nothing too out of the ordinary. We ordered food and it took about 2 hours to get some sandwiches and fries. The chicken burger was basically a slice of chicken bacon with some lettuce and tomatoes. The young men working at the property really tried their best but the meals were subpar and most were left untouched.

El baño estaba en excelentes condiciones, y la ducha tenía muy buena presión de agua. Cada habitación cuenta con un pequeño porche con mesa y dos sillas. La zona de la piscina también es muy agradable. El servicio del desayuno fue algo lento. No ofrecieron zumo, y el café, para tratarse de un hotel que lo destaca en su nombre, no me pareció nada especial.

Muy limpio, habitación muy amplia com dos pisos. Desayuno excelente, comida muy rica. El personal y dueño ayudan con todo y con mucha rapidez, muy serviciales y maravillosos. • Björn (8/5): Gerne wieder :-) - Wir haben hier zwei Nächte verbracht. Es gibt einen sehr schönen und gepflegten Pool den wir gerne genutzt haben. Unser Zimmer war groß und auf zwei Etagen aufgeteilt. Das Frühstück (Englisches Frühstück) war gut und wurden uns an einem Tag auf unseren Wunsch extra früh serviert. Der Kaffee und die Säfte aus dem angeschlossenen Café haben uns ebenfalls gut geschmeckt. An einem der Abende haben wir im Hotel zu Abend gegessen. Das Zimmer war mit Handtüchern, TV, Minibar, Pflegeartikeln, WLAN ausgestattet. Was an einem Tag mit dem extra frühen Frühstück super geklappt hat, hat leider am nächsten Tag, unserem Abreisetag, nicht ganz so gut funktioniert. Wir hatten das Frühstück auf 8 Uhr bestellt und leider erst gegen 8:40 Uhr serviert bekommen. Dies war für uns sehr schade, da unser Transfer auf 9 Uhr bestellt war und wir nicht gemütlich frühstücken konnten. Die öffentlichen Bereiche z.B. die sehr schöne Dachterrasse und die zugehörigen Toiletten könnten etwas besser gepflegt werden.

Toen wij wilden lunchen hebben we erg lang moeten wachten en zijn uiteindelijk zelf naar het personeel gestapt om bestelling door te geven. Het eten werd alleen koud geserveerd. Het ontbijt wordt in de ochtend klaar gemaakt en staat net zo lang te wachten tot gasten arriveren om het op te eten.

It was complicated to order the food and while the quantity was there, the quality was not impressive. In fact it was probably prepared somewhere else. Ot was not clear who was in charge. It was certainly over evaluated on booking.

Situé en bord de route passante, les chambres sont en retrait. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Literie très confortable. Nécessaire de toilette, petit frigo. Petit déjeuner de 8h à 9h30, plusieurs choix possibles, service à l’assiette. Possibilité de manger midi et soir sur place. • Joy (9/5): Recommended stay at The Coffee House, Dambulla - Recently opened, compact, family-run facility located on the highway. Entry is through their coffee shop that serves good coffee and short eats. Our double room was on the ground floor, family rooms were upstairs. All fittings, furnishing and the attached bath, were neat and modern. Absolutely clean room with a small sit-out, clean bed & bath linen. Room had running hot & cold water and good air-conditioning. Car parking is in the front and a neat pool at the rear. Sumptuous breakfast and meals are served at the open-air restaurant on the terrace. Our host and property owner connected with us on the mobile and supported our evening check-in, even though he was out-of-town. We spent a remarkable evening over a cuppa, interacting with his smart, teenage sons who lend a hand in managing the property.

• Carsten (7/5): Durchschnittliches Hotel - Das Hotel ist schön und der Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein. Wir durften einen Scooter leihen. Anfänglich sollte dieser 4.500 LKR kosten. Doch für Hotelgäste war er dann glücklicherweise doch für 3.500 LKR erhältlich. Das Personal war sehr nett. Die Duschen waren sehr gut. Den Wäscheservice sollte man keinesfalls in Anspruch nehmen. Zwei meiner neugekauften T-Shirts sind mindestens 2 Nummern eingegangen.. Ein weiteres neues T-Shirt von mir war nach dem Waschen weiterhin schmutzig. Genauso wie ein Shirt meiner Frau. Außerdem wurde die Wäsche auf dem Geländer getrocknet und ist dann durch den Wind weggeweht wurden. Wir durften die Sachen vom Erdboden auflesen. Glücklicherweise wurde uns dieser "Wäsche-Service" nicht in Rechnung gestellt. Die Betten sind für Menschen mit einer Körpergröße von 1,80 m zu klein. Doch das haben wir öfters in Sri Lanka erlebt. Man musste auch länger auf das Frühstück warten.
• Katharina (8/5): Nice rooms & pool for a stay in Dambullah - It is overall a very nice hotel choice with new rooms and a nice pool! The hotel organizes also tuck tuck drives and trips, for example to Sigiriya, safari or anything else you might need. Therefore we enjoyed the time there definitely! We noticed that this is partially normal here but oftentimes when we went to the reception for example there were only kids or teenagers working there. Sometimes there was an adult woman but also the breakfast was prepared by literally kids and delivered to the table. That was a bit weird from the feeling, plus we were not that convinced with the cleanliness of food preparation. Plus- with anything they might offer you- for example drivers to the next town, always check a second option or Uber to see if the price is not overpriced.

• Saskia (9/5): Amazing stay at Coffee House - Clean, new and very comfortable rooms. We really enjoyed our stay here and felt like home form the first minute. The swimming pool is amazing to cool down and relax.

• Danny (9/5): Prettig en modern verblijf als uitvalsbasis - Prettige familiekamer en faciliteiten. Fijn zwembad, goed ontbijt, zeer behulpzaam personeel. Alles is prima en een goede uitvalsbasis voor de omgeving te verkennen. Wel ben je afhankelijk van een tuktuk, omdat lopen te ver/gevaarlijk is (dat wisten wij vooraf). Vervoer met vriendelijke chauffeur is via accommodatie beschikbaar.
• Christina (9/5): Great stay - A lovely gem. Our room was clean and decorated beautifully. The staff were very helpful and breakfast on the upstairs roof terrace was great The room was a little dark, but we weren’t too bothered.

Anche se la posizione è un po' defilata da Dambulla, rimane sulla strada principale sulla quale transitano tutti i bus sia per Dambulla che per Sigiriya, che si raggiungono in pochi minuti e poche rupie

• Isabelle (7/5): Bon rapport qualité/prix - Le personnel est très accueillant. Le lieu est très bien mais le ménage des espaces communs laisse à désirer.
• Katrin (10/5): Ein Stück Zuhause in der Ferne! Toll! - Alles! Das Personal ist unfassbar hilfsbereit und liebevoll, fast wie Familie! Die Zimmer sind auf dem neusten Stand: warmes Wasser und moderne Ausstattung im Bad, Zimmer in zwei Ebenen aufgeteilt für „Privatsphäre“ der Kids zum Spielen perfekt geeignet. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet. Hotelbesitzer ist über WhatsApp jederzeit verfügbar und unterstützt sehr gut für Touren zur Safari oder Wanderungen etc.! Wir würden Jedem empfehlen hier zu wohnen! Tausend Dank Etwas ab vom Schuss, daher immer TukTuk oder Taxi nötig. Dafür aber ruhig.

• Frank (9/5): Heerlijk - Goede plek net buiten het centrum. Ruime kamer waar we met z'n 3-en uitstekend konden verblijven. Met tuk tuk (huis tuk tuk) binnen no time in centrum. Heel erg aardige mensen. Goed ontbijt. Lekker zwembad. Vlakbij alle bezienswaardigheden die allemaal geregeld kunnen worden door de mensen van Coffee House. Voor het natuurpark met olifanten hebben ze een heel bevlogen natuurgids. De beste naar onze mening. Niets

• Susanne Charlotte (7/5): Prima voor een nacht. - Aardig personeel. Met name de dame die wij veel hebben gesproken. Kamer was prima en lekkere douche. Zwembad is schoon. Lekkere koffie! Accomodatie is aan een best drukke weg. Ik was bang voor veel geluidsoverlast maar eigenlijk heel goed geslapen. Op loopafstand niet veel te beleven en in de avond gevaarlijk om langs donkere weg te lopen.

• Bjarke (7/5): - Værelser og poolområde var virkelig fint. Sødt og venligt personale. Virkelig kedelig og uinteressant morgenmad. Og komisk nok, at personalet ikke kan lave ordentlig kaffe, når stedet nu hedder “Coffee House”.
• Ryo (10/5): - 建物自体が新しく、部屋や設備は新しくとても綺麗です。オーナーやスタッフもとても親切なので安心でした。屋上にカフェスペースがあり、そこでコーヒーやカフェラテ、食事などの注文も可能です。
