Guest Reviews
- Anne (7/5): Stay was ost - Location was good, size of unit was good, comfy bed. Shower was tight to get into for larger people as door opens I wards, and the water pressure wasn’t great. There was no toaster, so had to fry the bread on the stove, and the dials for heat were back to front and not numbered so hard to work out if it was heating propoerly. Also no plug for the sink so washing up was difficult.
- Rachel (7/5): A practical and no frills place to stay, handy for the local area and overall a comfortable stay. - A good, standard let of a large granny-flat arrangement. Very clean with modern touches, with a very comfortable bed and living area. Internet access was very good, and kitchen easy to use (excellent kitchen knives and cooker very fast for the type of hob). I had a couple of issues during our stay with the door lock and a tap (not as a result of misuse) which were fixed very promptly and with no issues with bond return. Overall a stay that met our needs (we were moving to a new house and had a gap between leases) very well. Only three things:
1. The external gate was tricky to open at first and would not stay shut in the wind, making a noise. I was able to straighten the latch bar making it more secure, but a better latch would be preferable.
2. The kitchen utensils were a little sparse. I bought and left a tin opener and pair of tongs to help the next visitors, but it would be useful to have some spatulas and more cutlery.
3. It isn’t the most well kept outside and could do with some repairs and tidying of the garden areas. Both the general waste and recycling bins were very full at the start of our stay too, but fortunately the length of our stay allowed us to fix this issue.
