The hospitality is outstanding, and the staff go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The homemade food was delicious and added a special touch to our stay. We also used their transport services, which were reliable and well organized. What impressed me most was their flexibility in adjusting our original travel plans due to road closures, making the trip smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Skardu. All of this at a very reasonable price. The best part of this hotel has to be the staff. They were all incredibly friendly and helped arrange taxis and day tours for me.

It's very nice to sit in the garden, the flowers are beautiful. We ordered breakfast and dinner - everything was very tasty, though keep in mind that it can take quite a while to get the food in the evening.

Hot water isn’t available 24/7, so you might face some issues during off-peak hours. Also, it's important to book lunch and dinner in advance—otherwise, it’s better to arrange your own meals if you’re running late.

From clean room, absolutely clean bathrooms, good water pressure, warm water in the shower, awesome outdoor environment with beautiful green and peaceful lawn, and most importantly such a polite, friendly and helpful staff who are actually a family and they are the owners (3 young sons and their parents). There is a nice menu available for food which is prepared by the mother of the family and food quality is excellent. And above all, their price is so reasonable for the facilities they provide. All in all, it was the best place we could have stayed and we surely chose it again. Everything was great.

The homemade food was absolutely delicious, and the Karak tea was fantastic — truly a treat! The place was super clean. I highly recommend staying here. A special mention to Mamoo Shabeer, our taxi driver — a well-known personality on social media! Everywhere we went, people recognized him, which made our experience even more enjoyable. They have large indoor and outdoor areas all of which are clean, new and very well maintained. They have facilities to wash clothes, reliable hot showers and a big area for parking. We had a car and trailer and it was no problem. Nothing was ever a problem. We would 100% recommend the Taaj Residence!
• Rana (10/5): Exceptional - I visited with my family (wife and 2.5 yr old kid) and got a home like residence and a family welcome. The area is extremely nice, comfy, peaceful and in city center. Its a family run house hence got a beautiful lawn with fruits (which we enjoyed more than once) and flowers. Room was very comfy, neat and clean, well ventillated. Bathroom was very clean, hot water was available all the time and everything was super nice. Wifi was also available most of the time. Home cooked food is available on order and it was delicious. We even used to have tea late at mid night without any issue. The owner (Tajamul and his sons) took care of us as their own family. My son got sick so they went above and beyond and arranged for a pedestrian. They helped us in getting local rent a car during our stay. They made my son feel comfortable and have a home like feeling. Local eateries and shops were very near by. They even had a local shop alongside their garage having all the basic food and grocery items you require. They have made me a permanent customer and i would only stay with them whenever i will visit skardu again. A must recommended residence for all families who visit Skardu.

• Irmtraud (10/5): Wonderful stay in a lovely Residence cum garden among friendly people - This was a really exceptional stay! Taaj Residence is well situated in central Skardu, but very quiet. The garden is as beautifully maintained as the whole Residence. Staff is incredibly warm und helpful, they go out of their way to help you or arrange something for you, the also have a good address book! Food was lovely (the mother is an excellent cook!) and eating in the garden, soúrrounded by roses, cherry trees and apricot trees is a real treat. The bathroom is all in white - and so clean! Hot water runs in the morning and in the evening, electricity was always available and also WIFI worked well. The bed was good too. I will come back to Taaj Residence for sure! I can't think of anything.

The whole family including the father and his three sons, Waqar, Zeeshan, and the youngest boy are always there to help, and to arrange trips, and make you feel part of the family. Zeeshan, the owner, was very supportive and helped me plan my travel itinerary based on my personal preferences as I was traveling alone.
• Clothilde (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed at this place several times, every time I visited Skardu. It is a great place to stay, with a nice garden and a quiet location. Wi-Fi worked well, so I was able to work remotely from this place, and there is also warm water in the morning. The rooms were clean and staff members were helpful. They can also arrange to pick you up at the airport or arrange visits to surrounding areas. You can either order food through staff members, or you can walk for less than 10 min to find several restaurants (Wok Chef, Food Corridor, etc.). It is a convenient place to stay with good value for money!
• Frances (10/5): Delightful in every way - This property is situated within a beautiful private garden and has wonderful views of the mountain. It is so calm and peaceful. I often heard the cuckoo calling as I sat in the garden. The property is really lovely and is situated close by to the main shopping area of Skardu. My room was in the ground floor and overlooked the garden. It was very big and really nicely presented. It had a very large adjoining bathroom and also a dressing area. For me though, quite apart from my amazing surroundings, my stay was made even more special due to the family running this guest house. They are the most wonderful family who are so helpful, friendly and hospitable. They provide delicious home made food and will happily cater for any of your needs - tours / advice / transport / airport pick up or drop off etc I arrived at Taaj Residence as a guest but definitely left as a friend.
