Hosts were super attentive and provided detailed check-in instructions. The shower didn’t have a mount on the wall, so you need to hold the shower handle above you whilst you shower. Not a deal breaker but a bit inconvenient.

On a apprécié le calme incroyable du logement, avec un superbe petit balcon en prime, tout en étant réellement à moins de 5 minutes à pied de l’acropole. • Jeannine (2/5): Do Not Stay Here!!! - The accommodation is in a good location - that is the only thing it has going for it. I do recommend staying in the Plaka region - just not here. Reasonably clean inside the apartment. Do not stay here!! Everything from being uncomfortable, to the dishonest host, made this place put a dampener on my first Athens visit. I stayed one night and left because it was awful! I paid upfront for the 5 nights I had booked based on what were good review scores (do not trust them!!). The hosts refused my polite request for a partial refund even though I went and stayed elsewhere, and they rebooked the accommodation out (I could see that through keeping an eye out on availability via booking .com) - so they made two times the money!! The worst thing is they then sent a message to booking.com to say I never checked in (a blatant lie) which meant I could not leave a review. I have gone through a lot of effort to contact a human through booking.com to get access to write a review that the owners effectively blocked - so that no one else has to be scammed!! The bed is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever stayed on! You can feel the springs in your back and it slants so you feel like you will roll off. I tried to sleep on the couch but that was just as bad. I resorted to sleeping on the floor on a blanket to get to sleep! (if you go back to reviews from 2023 with bed complaints it is clear there was no action to rectify this since then). There were a pair of men's underwear hanging over the curtain rail in the bedroom likely left from a previous visit. The foyer of the building smells like must and mould. The key to the front entrance requires a Houdini like manipulation to work (despite previous reviews suggesting they fix this and hosts saying they will). The current review scores do not seem to be an accurate representation of the property, and the saccharine probably AI generated "hello dearest" messages are not consistent with the service you will get if you raise an issue. I found somewhere else to stay fortunately for the same price that was 100 times better. Do shop around!

• Lee (10/5): Perfect stay in Athens - The location was superb, with sites close by and easy metro access for other sites. Many good restaurants very close to the apartment. Comfortable, clean, with kitchen, cooling fans in living room and bedroom, and washing machine. Nice private balcony. Elevator for moving luggage to first floor of building. Very quiet. Excellent communication with owners. Easy check-in with lockbox key access. Our dislikes are very minor and we would definitely stay again if in the area. Would have loved air conditioning, but the fans kept us sufficiently comfortable. A microwave and provided coffee would have been nice. Would have liked more light in the rooms at night. An additional bracket to elevate the shower to a higher level would have been welcome.

• Ana (7/5): - La ubicación es maravillosa, a 3 minutos del metro y a 6 de la entrada de la Acropolis. Se puede ir caminando a Monastiraki y Syntagma. La ausencia de aire acondicionado. Es cierto que fue fallo nuestro no comprobar en las características si había aire, pero en una ciudad tan calurosa como Atenas y en un piso que da a un patio interior y no permitiendo ventilación, es totalmente necesario tener aire acondicionado y dimos por hecho que lo tendría. El colchón es un poco incómodo y serían de agradecer algunos detalles como tener sal o azúcar en la cocina. En definitiva, fuera de la temporada de verano, las ventajas superan a los inconvenientes, pero en temporada de calor, no lo recomiendo ya que es muy difícil dormir con las altas temperaturas.

The apartament is dark, no sunlight which might be good in summer months as there is no A/C and might be hot. Very good communication with renters. I’m surprised by the high ratio of this apartament. All negative comments from 2022/23 are true. First of all it stinks, bedroom and wordrobe smells must. All furniture are old and all in stains. Important: it has only one bed, that in bedroom. The rest is not acceptable for sleep, maybe for children as it is very short and so uncomfortable. Shower has very short curtain and bathroom is in water. There is multiple mould on the wall in the shower. Apartament is not clean/ only what well visible is clean. When we moved a small cupboard there were plenty of dust. On the washing mashine there were someone hairs, not ours. Not even small table to have coffee on. The man outside is still coughing loud all night. The walls are so thin that we heard everything from the neighbour. The metro trains were also heard in the room.
• Igorsf (10/5): Exceptional - The location of this apartment is superb. It is close enough to all the attractions. We never used any transportation and walked all over the Athens center. At the same time, it is on the edge of the touristy area, so it is not as crazy as let's say Monasteraky. There is a good inexpensive taverna right in the same building, if you failed to make a reservation in a fancy restaurant for tonight. The apartment itself is spacious, well-equipped, quiet, and squeaky clean. We liked to have a breakfast on the large patio overlooking a quiet backyard completely covered by a large lemon tree. The managing team is very responsive and helpful. We stayed in this apartment after a few weeks trip in the South of France and staying in multiple apartments. The Athens appartment was almost at the top of the least by quality and value. Very reccomended. I would like to give a few small hints to the management for improving. 1. Wash again or replace the bed cushions. They were not completely dried after the last wash and have a little smell. 2. Put a few drops of machine oil into the key hole of the lock at the building entrance. It some times a little difficult to open the door. 3. Invest in a basic bottle opener for the apartment. The contact was very helpful, even making arrangements for a taxi to the airport. The furniture was very uncomfortable, especially the bed. It would have been nice if they would have had coffee & tea, as we had to find a market to get something for just 2 mornings.

Unfortunately the room was not clean & we were unable to check in after waited all day since we arrived after a very long flight in the morning. We were not permitted to leave our luggage there early & had to find a storage locker. Then sadly there was some mistake & the apartment was not ready... The apartment was very hot with no AC. We were unable to leave the patio door open (no screens) for air due to lots of mosquitoes. I recommend installing screen for the doors which would've be very helpful.

As a matter of fact, its position is so near to the main attractions of the capital that you just need to walk some minutes to get there. Plus, there is no need to mention the wonderful assistance beyond that was infinitely gentle to help us in any situation: once our lights powered off and we didn’t know what we would have done without their assistance: they were so efficient and helpful that I only needed to contact the property to have the issue solved immediately In addition, I appreciated all the information that have been given and provided prior the arrival. There is an amazing restaurant just next to the building, and we didnt use public transport, all tourist locations are close by. Clean apartment, nice decor and professionally washed linen, shampoo and shower gel, pods for washing machine. The interior is very nice and the host is very communicative so there is no problem to get the keys or ask for anything you need. The only disadvantage is that in winter the interior is quite cold, but there are heaters so it is okay.

There is an amazing restaurant just outside the door (Opos Palia). The area feels quiet and safe (unlike some other parts of Athens). The flat is spacious and comes with all the required facilities. The bed is not firm enough for my back hahaha
• Miranda (10/5): Nice and comfy home with a great location - My partner and I spent 5 nights in this place, was great, excellent location, the closest metro station is 1-2 minutes away walking. The host was very nice and great communicator, she gave the information in time, everything was very clear and the apartment was tidy, comfy and spotless :) they gave us plenty of touristic information. You will have lots of delicious cafes and restaurants in the area. The door was difficult/tricky to unlock, it got stuck once, but our host offered her kindly assistance, and assured this incident didn’t happen again.

The flat was nice and quiet. The bed was very firm and you could feel the springs, needed a mattress topper. There was no aircon so it got very hot as the weather in Athens was above 35 degrees Celsius. There were fans but these didn’t do enough.
• All4 (10/5): Acropolis Centre, Clean, Large, Great Value! - Amazing apartment and really good price for being so close to Acropolis and centre!! The staff was wonderful and kept in touch good communication for checkin and luggage storage in the area. Apartment was handy with the washing machine and kitchen and all very clean and comfortable and just a quick walk from Acropolis metro station if you are coming from the airport. There is luggage storage all over and an excellent gyro place on the block that was only 3 euro but amazing food. Quick walk to many sites and centre. Would definitely recommend!! Nice inner courtyard balcony (except for the guy sitting downstairs coughing every morning at 7 am). It was cheap but you get what you pay for. The trip started with them sending us the wrong address. We drove around and around the neighborhood looking for parking only to realize it was the wrong flat. By the time we actually got to the correct place it was after midnight and the second set of instructions they gave us didn't list the flat number. Tried to call two of the numbers listed on booking.com several times with no answer. Finally realized they had sent us the flat number with the first, incorrect address info page. Was told the next day we should have called the third number they gave us as THAT was the one that was available 24 hours. It would have been nice to have that info beforehand. The bed was beyond awful. Like sleeping on the floor it was so hard. The futon in the living room was also incredibly uncomfortable. The only way we could sleep was by cobbling together the loveseat and the chaise. Maybe if one of the couches that was shown in the listing wasn't taped up on the balcony we could have used that. I saw a couple of reviews before renting talking about how terrible the bed was but they told those prior renters they'd take care of it. They quite obviously did not. The bathroom was also not good. Filthy grout that smelled of mold and mildew the whole trip. There is no natural light and the only installed light is one small bulb above the vanity. Shower head is only waist high so you have to hold it while showering. Shower curtain was too short so water gets all over the floor. Also, the washing machine backs up into the drain when it is emptying so the floor gets soaked then too. The towels and robe seemed like they were about 10 years old. Everything was just kind of half-assed here which was really disappointing because it could be a great little rental if they put a little effort into it. Instead it seems like they just want to squeeze as much $$ as possible out of it. *Read the instructions for an apartment we were not renting?

Wifi was available and high-speed, despite being listed as otherwise (which meant that we had gone and bought a Sim card unnecessarily). Communication established prior through WhatsApp. No need for a deposit to be made, despite listing. Apartment was spacious and clean. We were 3 people - one slept in the living room on the sofa bed - not the most comfortable.

It is clean and quite and it has a lemon tree just outside the balcony. I am sure that during summer hot days it is great. The apartment was cozy, clean and well-appointed, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The highlight of my trip was its close proximity to the Acropolis - just a short walk away! The location was fantastic, with a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes in the neighborhood. The host was very friendly and provided helpful information about the area and what to see and do. The apartment was also well-connected to the rest of the city, making it easy to explore Athens. I felt very safe in the neighborhood and would definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Athens. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Well appointed kitchen with everything you need to cook meals and it has a washing machine with washing powder. Nice balconies to sit out on with a garden view.
